I've not posted anything about DS9 for a while, instead I've let it consume my existence in silence. No more. I'm sad bc Bashir is less silly goofy. Poor guy. I want to give him a hug. I know why he's less silly goofy. But it's still sad. He used to navigate through life with such vigor and zest and flare and aditude and infodumpingness and humor, and now its missing. Idk.

This started out as a simple sketch on paper that I decided to add a bit of color to... and then a couple hours later I found myself thinking 'ok now what if gold leaf- ok and what if he is the light?' and here we are reference / inspiration was those moments in Armageddon Game where Bashir is sitting against the wall with the sunset highlighting the edge of his face and it's so beautiful

My personal headcanon is that after the episode where Kira and Julian make out while under the (accidental) influence of Lwaxana Troi they just start causally hooking up whenever both of them are single, it's just no big deal to either of them and it doesn't affect their friendship in either way. Like I can totally see them both being like "yeah I'm attracted to you, you're attracted to me, neither of us want a relationship with each other, let's have sex"
