The Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy Live: Barrowlands (2015). My absolute favorite band and even to this day no one comes close to their coolness 😎. Saw them only once live before the split and my wish is to see them one more time. They seem to sound so much better live now then they were in their peak. When I saw them it was just absolute mayhem, all you could hear was out of tuned guitar and distorsion. In midst of all that chaos Jim still held that cool stillness on stage. Released on the Blanco Y Negro label, 7way back when, in 1985, amid a riotous frenzy, literally in the case of their early live shows, this debut album from the Brothers Reid along with Douglas Hart, Barry Blacker, Dave Evans, Bobby Gillespie briefly, and others including Loz Colbert (Ride) and Phil King (ex-Lush) amongst the numerous one-time members of the band, burst on the scene sounding like nothing else mattered...and still sounds fresh now, 35 years later...
