Jimin touched on the song briefly (so briefly) on Suga’s show. I wonder if he realized back when he filmed that appearance, how beloved the song would become? Will he speak longer on it during his welive? Or will this remain a rarely mentioned treasure?

I am sure many of us can apply it to the “army” in our own lives. I think many of us see how it can relate to the “army” that BTS are to each other.

JHope Talks About His Enlistment Schedule And What He Wants To Do Before Saying Goodbye To ARMYs

Today, JHope took first place on 'M Countdown' for his new track "On The Street". At the same time, this is also his second 1st place achievement for two consecutive weeks. Therefore, JHope appeared on Weverse Live to directly express his gratitude to his fans.

He was very happy when he saw the congratulations from the fans. Then, JHope also expressed his heart for what ARMYs did for him and listened to "On The Street". JHope said that: "I came for a little bit.. on hearing the good news" and "It's (JHope winning #1 twice) really because of you guys.. I want to give you my greetings of thanks".

JHope then talked about his life these days as he wraps up his busy promotion schedule. Like a few other members of the group, j-hope has spent this time enjoying his life without too many thoughts and worries.

He then cautiously mentioned his enlistment. Of course, JHope also brought up the fact that after he finished promoting "On The Street" he was also preparing for his military service and ARMYs should know about this too.

He slowly mentioned it but didn't forget to reassure ARMYs that he won't be leaving anytime soon. JHope said, "I came to give you my greetings of thanks and let you know a little bit that my official schedules are almost over…There's so much I've recorded/filmed. I can't tell you in too much detail but the date (to enlist) is out but I wonder isn't it the stage where I need to start getting ready eventually."

Besides, JHope also let us know that he will do something for ARMYs before he has to enlist. It includes "bald JHope" and "hug ARMYs". He mentioned: ""Will we see bald JHope?" I guess you'll see bald JHope when I go" and "Hug ARMY before you go to the army (military)" I'll do that, I'll hug ARMY before I go to army",…

Although he was mentally prepared for his enlistment, it seems that he also has a lot of worries since this is his first time doing this.JHope expressed his goal in taking care of himself during his enlistment.

He confessed, "Since my stamina is so low, I wonder if I should take care of myself before enlisting. Now I'm 30, once I come back from the military, I'll be over 30.. In general, my goal is to be healthy…I've felt that more than anything, it's important to be healthy…If I'm healthy, I'll be able to show you many/various things"

Meanwhile, at the end of last month, JHope completed the application to cancel the enlistment postponement and started the process of performing military service. Talking about his sudden decision to enlist, JHope ever expressed, "I think I've been thinking about this since last year. After Jin-hyung went in, I wondered when I should do it too. When thinking about it, I decided that the sooner I go in, the sooner I can return and show you something good."

For ARMYs, JHope's enlistment is inevitable. Therefore, they support his decision to enlist and always hope that he will return healthy:

Hellooo good morning/night/afternoon! I got the email for flux this morning and my plan was to get up and study but no! I spent the whole morning reading cause that chapter was so loooong and that made me sooooo happy🥰 thank you 언니! No worries, I studied anyway eventually😫.

Okay so the feeling of stress from the events of last chapter is definitely still lingering. As soon as I started it I was like “oh god she has to do it all again💀💀💀” but it actually got better gradually! Tbh my feelings of uneasiness are mainly because of the whole foreigner thing. Based on what I gathered some Koreans actually make a big deal out of dating a foreigner and that just… I mean do each their own but it’s a bit stressing because it doesn’t feel like it’s coming from a place of curiosity most of the times🙁. But that’s probably why Sasha is stressing the fuck out too! Terrified of mortally offending somebody because she comes from a totally different background.

And talking about background! Eomma was determined to get to know in 5 minutes what us readers (and dear jk) got to know in 2 books, almost two years, more than a million words and many tears. Honestly it was so amazing to read about what’s going on in Sasha’s mind when she’s in this kinds of triggering situations. To read (once again) about how she sees the world, how she would randomly think of her sister, whether she lived or not, and witness that thought coming out of nowhere all of a sudden was so intense and real. That’s stupid lol but idk that part really got me! Makes you think of how many things she actually has to deal with on a daily basis.

Apart from the questions, I was so happy to see eomma warming up to Sasha! When jk told her to “be the mom she never had” I know for a fact eomma was right there with him. She was like “alright daughter! Come here and cut potatoes”. Basically like saying I love you🥰❤️. Can’t wait to see what else is there for them! And little Misuk too! She was so cute, PLEASE GO HUG SASHA FOR ME!😭

PS. the Russian thing about childbirth! 10 children!! It was removed this year??😶 when I was reading about it definitely sounded like something older. I think Italy had something similar during fascism, like families being exempted from taxation if they had more than 6/7 children. And they also had the help of the church that helped in banning contraception! What else could go wrong?🤡

"“oh god she has to do it all again💀💀💀”" yeah this is how I keep feeling for her too haha. It's why I felt like I wanted to take the chapters as needed to go through it all slowly so we're right there in this experience wiht her, really feeling how exhausting it is. It's so exhausting!!

Eomma will continue to be a lot of fun to develop and explore, that relationship between them won't necessarily be quick and easy (though nothing like The Mother in Lowlander haha) but it's SUCH an important one in the series. She definitely wanted to use to use Mother-in-law privilege and see what info she could get haha. She probably figures too that Jungkook may just not have asked/pressed much. She knows her son!

As for the Mother Heroine thing, from what I found in research is was active from the Soviet times until like the early 90s, and then it turned into just a title and medal for 7 kids but no money attached to it. But then this year they bumped it back up to 10 and put the money back on it. The disclaimer is so fucked up though: you get the payout on the first birthday of your tenth child as long as the other nine are either all alive or died in specifically sanctioned ways (like in the military.) CRAZY. Trying to avoid exactly what happened with Sasha's family though ooooops.

As for enlistment... I think a part of me had hoped that if I wrote it one way (assuming excemptions didn't come through) the opposite would happen IRL. Oops. :(

Hi baby!!! I just wanna say if you’re struggling with Sungjin’s enlistment (especially the way he announced it which is just whensbfnf it’s so on brand for him it is PAINFUL), particularly because he’s the first enlistment for you since getting into Kpop, know that you’re not alone. I think anyone who follows/supports/biases Korean born male idols goes through a similar experience, especially when it’s your bias (or perhaps your ult). For me it was EXO’s Suho’s enlistment last year that, while I knew was coming because of his age, still hurt when it happened, because it was my first (I started following EXO after Xiumin and DO’s enlistments). And then more recently with Chanyeol’s announcement, it hurt my heart so very very deeply, because he is my ultimate bias, but I will say his enlistment announcement somehow stung less. And I know Baekhyun’s is soon too, and hopefully that one will sting less too.

What I’m trying to say is— the first one is the hardest. But oh, the gifts they leave us with— the music, the content, the memories, there’s so much to hold on to to pass the time! It’s almost been a year since Junmyeon’s enlistment already and it feels like it was yesterday that he left. Think of it this way too, the sooner they go, the sooner they come back. I can empathize with Sungjin’s announcement specifically because it comes after a long hiatus from him, because Chanyeol’s was slightly similar— we got one day of him back and then not 24 hours later the press release went out. The consensus among exo-I’s I see is that while being in the military certainly isn’t a vacation, to be a civilian and out of the public eye is... well, we (myself and a good number of others) all feel very complexly that this will be good for him, to be not Chanyeol the rapper but Park Chan Yeol, the 28 year old Korean man. I can’t help but think a little similarly for Sungjin. And I know that he will do well and come back to us safely.

What I’m trying to say is if you’re feeling a lot— anguish, fear, sadness, if it makes you cry, worry about the future, and creates and empty pit inside you, it’s normal, the sadness aches, it’s okay to feel them. Let yourself feel them but don’t let them consume you. Be gentle with yourself. Find solace and comfort in other MyDay who’ll being waiting patiently alongside you, it makes the time pass by more quickly for sure. I follow an EXO military countdown blog, Holding for EXO, and it genuinely makes my heart so happy to see the posts and memories every day as the gap between time served and time remaining wanes smaller and smaller and smaller.

I’m so dumb I had written a whole response to this and then accidentally closed the tab before hitting post and totally lost it LOL. I’ll try to remember what I had posted. But anon, thank you so much for taking the time to send this message. 

The first thing I wanted to say was that I realized that I totally forgot that J.Seph is in the military too, and he’s actually the first idol I stan who has enlisted. But they had said that they had postponed his enlistment, and he did it at a time where he’ll be back for live shows, and he’s the only one who has to enlist from KARD cuz Matt doesn’t have to. Plus, he’s still active on Instagram, so I don’t feel like I miss him too much.

But I’m also just very confused about the enlistments to begin with, because we have J.Seph (born June ‘92) who’s enlisted already, and then we have someone like Shownu (also born June ‘92) who hasn’t yet. WHICH TO BE CLEAR IM NOT SAYING I WANT SHOWNU IN THE MILITARY! I’m just saying with idols that I stan from the ‘92 line (Jin, Shownu, Baekhyun) not having enlisted yet, I didn’t even realize that idols from ‘93 like Sungjin were at their enlistment point already. And the way he said it made it sound like he’s starting the chain of enlistments in Day6, which also means the chain of idols I stan enlisting cuz I stan a lot that are around that age and UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I also will never forgive corona for coming and preventing me from living out my goal of seeing Day6 live before they enlisted. 

I’ll definitely be ok, and I think I might’ve lost the point a couple times here, but I’m just sad. I was really looking forward to the new Day6 album and finally having ot5 back after nearly a year, but if they promote this album on music shows it’s just not gonna be the same. Also, if anyone has bothered to read this and you stan Day6, please hmu cuz I have zero MyDay friends that I know of lol and would love to make some. But once again thank you so so much for this message. It means a lot. I’m gonna go listen to Feeling Good and cry now lol (not seriously cry, but cry inside lol)
