Netflix Distribution Chart Template 1
Tumblr media
Originally a breeding chart from rascal4488, I edited this into a distribution chart in the hypothetical presumption of Netflix's films being distributed/released by well-known companies (despite how streaming is the platform everyone turns to now) for kicks. The companies include Paramount, WB, Sony, Universal, and Shout! Factory.
How this works?
Just put a check mark in the box to whichever title you think would work well under your choice of companies. You could go to the trouble of doing this or just leave your choice of hypothetical distribution in the comments.
The films listed include:
* The Christmas Chronicles duology * Klaus * Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey * Scrooge: A Christmas Carol * Guillmero Del Toro's Pinocchio

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (2020)
Tumblr media
I want to open this review with a disclaimer. I think that this film is absolutely necessary for the representation it gives to people of color. I will not discuss race further than that because I am white, so I don’t have anything to add to that larger conversation here.
The framing of this story is a popular trope of Grandmother (Phylicia Rashad) is telling a story to her grandchildren. I don’t think the framing is necessary here, so I’m not sure why it’s included. But this is also a film that is not intrinsically about Christmas, it just takes place during Christmas. So, maybe that was to make it more Christmas-like?
I do understand why the story starts where it does- with everybody considerably younger. Jeronicus Jangle (Justin Cornwell) and his wife Joanne (Sharon Rose) run a toy shop or boutique or something. What the shop sells is not clear, but they are all his inventions. His apprentice Gustafson (Miles Barrow) and his daughter Jessica (Diaana Babnicova) are also there, both trying to invent things with him. Jeronicus finally invents his “greatest creation,” a sentient matador doll named Don Juan Diego (Ricky Martin). Don Juan doesn’t want to be mass produced though, so he convinces Gustafson to steal him and all the plans, and they start their own toy company. I think it’s toys anyway. Jeronicus is devastated and loses his spark of invention, and when Joanne tragically dies, he sinks into a deep depression, pushing Jessica away.
An indeterminate number of years later, Jessica (Anika Noni Rose) has a 10 year old daughter named Journey (Madalen Mills) who is obsessed with the idea of her grandfather and tricks Jessica into sending Journey to meet him by herself. Sending children long distances to see family you haven’t seen for years is another trope I find very strange. Like it’s convenient for the plot, but how often do people really do this? Journey finds Jeronicus (Forest Whitaker) grouchy and running his pawn shop. A local boy Edison (Kieron Dyer) helps him around the shop, and my personal favorite, Ms. Johnston (Lisa Divina Phillip), the mail lady, shamelessly hits on him as much as possible. Jeronicus is convinced that he has lost the magic of invention, but Journey is determined to help him find it again.
Meanwhile, Don Juan is bullying Gustafson (Keegan-Michael Key) because he has run out of things to produce from the plans they stole years ago. Gustafson tries to use his own invention, but it doesn’t work. Don Juan tells him that Jeronicus has to have something hidden, so Gustafson sneaks around to find something good. Introducing Buddy 3000 (Tobias Poppe)! An interactive robot that only works if you believe he is will! Gustafson steals it, but his buyers don’t believe in him, so the robot won’t work. Journey and Edison steal it back, but Gustafson won’t go down without a fight.
This is a musical, and I was very impressed with the score and the dance numbers in this film. They were the best part of the whole movie (except that the lip syncing in the first song broke my suspension of disbelief for a bit). I also really loved the costuming and hair for this story- the bright colors and unique styles really added to the complexity of the story. Overall, I give it 3.5 stars.

American Girl Christmas Movies
I've been thinking about Christmas movies, and which ones each of my dolls would like (this assumes each of them has her canon personality, but the historical dolls obviously having an anachronistic knowledge of television). So here's what I think each of their favourite Christmas movies would be:
Samantha Parkington: Mrs. Santa Claus (1996)
youtube
Starring Angela Lansbury as the titular character, this lesser-known TV movie tells the story of Santa's wife tiring of being ignored and venturing out into the world, and winding up stranded in 1910 New York City the week before Christmas.
This movie would really speak to Sam for multiple reasons. For one, of course, it's set right near her time period, and I also think she'd relate strongly to the feminist themes. One of the major storylines involves a factory whose child workers strike for better working conditions, and another involves the suffragette movement, both of which are issues that feature heavily in Samantha's stories. Also, one of the main characters is a young Irish immigrant who reminds me a lot of Nellie.
I think she'd also really like A Christmas Carol (1951), which is arguably the most faithful retelling of the Dickens story (I've decided one of her favourite books is Christmas Carol, because it fits with her personal values very well... aaand maybe because it's my favourite book, haha).
Makena Williams: Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (2020)
youtube
Set in a fantastical world where science is magic, robots are powered by Belief, and the Square Root of Possible can be expressed in a mathematical formula, Netflix's Jingle Jangle is about brilliant toy inventor Jeronicus Jangle (Forest Whitaker), who falls into despair after his trusted assistant Gustafson (Keegan-Michael Key) steals all his blueprints and uses them for his own ends. Years later, Jeronicus' granddaughter Journey (the stellar young Madalen Mills) tries to restore his faith with her cleverness and optimism.
I think one of main reasons this movie would appeal to Makena is that it's all about celebrating Black excellence and Black joy; there's a lot of representation in the cast, without focusing on racism and suffering. She'd also really love the costumes, which are a gorgeous mix of traditional African colours/patterns and Victorian-era styles; all the thought, detail, and talent that went into the costuming would inspire her fashionista heart.
Evette Peeters: The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus (1985)
youtube
This stop-motion TV special, based on the book by L. Frank Baum (the author of The Wizard of Oz), was created by Rankin/Bass, the same team that made the famous Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman specials we all grew up watching. It's a unique take on the legend of Santa Claus where an abandoned baby is found by a kindly Wood Nymph and raised among the fairies. As Claus grows up, he moves to the human world and, dismayed by the suffering he sees there, he begins making toys for nearby children, hoping to bring light and joy to them, and ends up at odds with the Awgwas, evil creatures that influence children to do bad things.
I only just got Evette, and she's not even out with the rest of my girls right now, since I'm saving that as a Christmas surprise for Makena, but I feel this one pretty strongly. For one, I think the cottagecore/forest visual themes would really appeal to her. Also, I headcanon Evette as pagan, and one of my pagan friends once told me they loved this movie because it was the only Christmas movie that dealt with the world of the Fae in a way that aligned with their beliefs.
The only one I'm not sure of is Josefina. Someone suggested Christmas on Mistletoe Farm (2022) for her; we watched it together, and she enjoyed it, but I’m not sure it’s her favourite. Any other suggestions?

Hellcheer at Redwood - Part Five (Stranger Things / AHS 1984)
Tumblr media
Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four
With Eddie gone, Chrissy finds herself playing nursemaid to a severely injured Chet. The plan gets changed again and the chances of them getting out alive with all their friends seem to be getting slimmer by the moment.
Word Count: 2,906 words.
CW: blood, injury, death, needles, major spoilers for AHS 1984.
Once the footsteps and the sound of jangling keys had faded, they all crept out from their hiding places. The body of the woman in the nurse’s dress was frozen in her knees, the oar handle protruding obscenely from her mouth. Montana shrank back and leaned into Trevor, who put his arm around her protectively.
Chrissy looked around wildly. “Was that Eddie?” she asked in a shrill voice. “Is he after Eddie?”
“Who is she?” Trevor muttered, staring at the dead woman. He didn’t seem to have heard Chrissy.
Xavier shone the torch on the woman. Clear in the bright beam of light was the dark pink, looping lettering above her breast pocket that read ‘Rita’.
“Nurse Rita?” Xavier exclaimed. “What the hell?”
“He’s gone after Eddie!” Chrissy cried, sobbing. “Please – we have to go help him!”
Trevor glanced at her, then back at the dead woman. “He knows what he’s doing,” he replied. “And he knows to meet us at the parking lot. We stick to the plan.” When she tried to protest he added “If we go after him we’ll just end up getting Eddie and all of us killed.”
Reluctantly, Chrissy fell silent. Trevor gestured, and they all crept out of the boathouse, trying their best to be as quiet as possible. When a figure almost immediately barrelled into them, Chrissy was too stunned and terrified to scream. For a second she hoped it might be Eddie, but then Xavier turned the torchlight on the figure, showing it to be Ray. He was fiilthy, covered in bleeding cuts, and panting for breath.
“Ray!” Xavier exclaimed. “Oh my God, are you okay? You’re bleeding! Where are the others?”
“We were attacked,” Ray gasped. “In the infirmary. I was stabbed – we got separated – Chet and I ran but I lost him in the woods. I had to cover myself in mud and leaves to hide!”
“What about Brooke?” Montana asked.
“Last I saw, she was with Nurse Rita.”
Xavier and Trevor exchanged a worried look. “That’s not good,” Xavier said.
Ray frowned. “What do you mean?”
“Nurse Rita is not Nurse Rita,” Xavier replied. “We found the real Nurse Rita tied up in the boathouse, right before Jingles killed her!”
“Then who’s with Brooke?” Ray asked.
“We don’t know,” Montana replied. “That’s why we;ve got to go find them.”
Ray shook his head. “The plan was to get to the parking lot. I’m not going back there with two killers running around!”
“Well, I’m not leaving without Margaret and Bertie,” Xavier said.
“And Eddie,” Chrissy added.
“Okay, fine, fine,” Trevor said, holding up his hands for silence. “Ray, you ever ridden a bike before?”
Ray nodded. “Yeah.”
Trevor sighed. “Okay. There’s a call box at the end of the road outside the camp. Taking my Ninja, go to the call box, and call the police. Then wait for us in the parking lot.” He pulled the keys out of his pocket and tossed them to Ray, who caught them with ease. “Montana, you go with him.”
Chrissy watched uneasily as Ray and Montana ran off in the direction of the parking lot. Then Xavier grabbed her hand. “Come on,” he said with a gentle smile.
The three of them ran into the woods in the direction Ray had come. Before long Trevor stopped them and held up his hand. “Listen,” he said.
They stopped and listened. From somewhere up ahead they could hear pained moaning. “Who do you think that is?” Xavier asked.
Without thinking, Chrissy pulled free from Xavier and ran forward. “Eddie?” she called.
“Shit – Chrissy, shut up!” Trevor hissed. They hurried after her, Xavier fumbling the torch off.
The moaning got louder, and Chrissy could make out words. “Down here … be careful! Don’t fall in – it’s a pit trap!”
Chrissy immediately slowed down, straining her eyes in the darkness. Only a few more steps more and she found herself at the edge of a deep pit. If not for the warning ,she would have gone right into it.
Xavier appeared at her side. He switched the torch back on and shone it down, revealing a bloodsoaked figure lying in one corner. He squinted. “Chet? Is that you?”
Chrissy’s heart dropped. She felt an instant pang of guilt for it, and reminded herself that might still be okay. Chet, on the other hand, did not look good.
“What are you doing down there?” Xavier called.
“What does it look like?” Chet wailed. “I’m dying! There’s a stake through my shoulder, I can’t move! You’ve gotta get me out of here!”
Trevor appeared next to Xavier, and they exchanged a look. Xavier sighed and handed Chrissy the torch. “Alright,” he said. “I’m coming down.”
Trevor helped Xavier lower himself into the pit, avoiding the stakes that pointed up at him as he dropped, while Chrissy held the torch steady to illuminate them. For one heart-stopping moment Xavier stumbled as he landed, and she was certain he was going to fall right onto the stakes. Then he caught his balance and crept over to Chet’s side. He crouched down next to him and grimaced. “Man, that looks gnarly,” he remarked.
“Jingles was chasing me and Ray,” Chet said. “Ray fell in here too, but he got out … He left me.”
“He said you got separated!” Xavier cried.
Chet shook his hand. “No … he’s got serious fucking issues, man.”
Xavier shook his head and looked back at the stake protruding through Chet’s shoulder. “Ooh, I wish we had a real doctor down here for this,” he muttered.
Something large rustled in the trees some distance away. Trevor and Chrissy turned to look, but saw nothing. “Shit, someone’s coming,” Trevor muttered. “Hurry up down there!”
Xavier looked up at them in panic. “I don’t know what I’m doing!” he protested. “I could kill him!”
“Better you than Jingles!” Trevor retorted.
Xavier groaned and looked back at Chet. “If I kill you,” he said, “I’m really really sorry.”
“Just get me out here, please,” Chet moaned through gritted teeth.
“Okay. On three,” Xavier said. He grabbed Chet by one arm, slipped an arm beneath his shoulders and braced himself. “Ready?”
Chet’s eyes widened with fear. “No no no wait -”
“Three!” Xavier cried, and pulled.
Chet came off the stake smoothly, but with a sickening wet sucking sound that Chrissy could hear even from outside the pit. She gagged, the torch in her hand wavering. Chet screamed in pain. Xavier pushed him to standing, grabbed him by his hips and boosted him upwards. Trevor bent down, grabbed Chet’s arms and hoisted him out, prompting Chet to give another agonised scream. Chrissy concentrated on holding the torch steady as Trevor bent down again to pull Xavier out, horribly conscious of how much noise Chet was making as he rolled on the ground, crying in pain.
Once Xavier was out, Trevor pulled Chet up and clamped a hand over his mouth. “Sssh,” he hissed. He and Xavier dragged Chet into the bushes, Chrissy turning off the torch and following behind. They crouched down, staying as still and silent as possible as a dark, raincoat-clad figure stepped into view, heading for the edge of the pit.
“We can take him,” Trevor whispered to Xavier. “There’s four of us.”
Xavier stared at him in disbelief. “Chet’s wounded! And Jingles has a knife!”
Trevor shrugged. “His knife,” he said, “Versus my guns.”
Chrissy barely had time to register what he meant before he darted out from the undergrowth, heading straight for the turned back of Mr Jingles. Trevor rammed into him with his shoulder, sending the figure tumbling into the pit trap. There was a wet crunch as he fell, and then he started screaming. Somehow Trevor managed to keep his balance and not fall in after him. He threw his hands up and cheered. “Welcome to your own petard, asshole!” he yelled.
Xavier ran out to his side, peering into the pit. “You got him!” he cried. “That was awesome!”
Beside Chrissy, Chet struggled to get to his feet. Chrissy put her hand on his uninjured shoulder. “Stay here,” she said. “You shouldn’t be moving about any more than you have to with that wound. You could bleed out.”
“What are you, a doctor now?” Chet muttered.
Chrissy fixed him with a stern glare. “I don’t need to be a doctor,” she replied. “I have eyes. You’re bleeding all over the place. Stay still.”
Grumbling, Chet lay back.
At the edge of the pit, Trevor and Xavier had fallen silent. Trevor had picked something up and was holding it out in front of them. Squinting, Chrissy made out a misshapen, muddy rubber mask, and her heart dropped.
“That wasn’t Mr Jingles,” Trevor said miserably. At the same time, the moaning in the pit tapered off.
There was a long moment of stunned silence, then Chet gave a pained groan. “Guys?” Chrissy called out. “Chet’s in trouble here.”
Stirring themselves, Trevor and Xavier returned to Chet’s side. “We should get him to the infirmary,” Chrissy said. “There’ll be bandages and stuff there, we can try to stop this bleeding.”
Together, Trevor and Xavier carried Chet to the infirmary while Chrissy led the way with the flashlight. Once inside, they laid him on the bed while Chrissy rummaged through the cupboards, looking for bandages.
Chet groaned as they put him down. “I don’t feel so good,” he muttered. “Is this what dying feels like?”
“It’s going to be okay,” Xavier assured him.
Chet looked up at Xavier, struggling to focus. His eyes slipped closed, and then he went limp, his head lolling to one side. Xavier looked up at Trevor in panic. “Shit,” he said. “I think he’s dead!”
Chrissy’s eyes fell on something in the cupboard she was looking in. She grabbed it and tossed it to Trevor. “Here, catch!”
Trevor caught it with ease and looked at it, and his eyes lit up. “Nice one,” he said to Chrissy. He pulled the cap off the syringe and raised his arm above his head, preparing to strike down into Chet’s chest. Xavier caught his arm. “Hey, hey, what the hell?”
“It’s an epi-pen,” Trevor explained. “It’s pure adrenaline!”
“Are you sure it’s going to work?” Xavier asked.
Trevor scoffed. “It’s sure as hell not going to make him worse!”
Xavier hesitated, then nodded and let go of Trevor’s arm. Aiming for Chet’s heart, Trevor jammed the needle in and pressed the plunger while Xavier and Chrissy watched anxiously. For a moment nothing happened.
“It didn’t -” Xavier began.
Suddenly Chet screamed and sat bolt upright. Trevor, Xavier and Chrissy all yelled in surprise.
“What the fuck happened?” Chet was yelling. “Shit, I feel like my heart’s beating out of my chest!”
Xavier pushed him back down onto the bed. “You’re gonna be okay,” he said. “Just lie still, okay?”
“We need Ray and Montana to get the cops here now,” Trevor said. “We sent them to call the cops.”
Chet shook his head. “Ray’s a chode,” he said bitterly. “He left me to die … he said he killed someone in college …”
“And I thought making porn was bad,” Xavier muttered.
The others looked at him in surprise. “What?”
“Nothing,” Xavier said quickly. Then his face lit up. “Oh my God! Porn! Blake! He left his car by the showers, his keys might still be in his pocket! You guys, we have a way out!”
“Okay,” Trevor said, getting to his feet. “We go get Margaret and Bertie and then we head to the car.”
Chet sat up with a pained groan, and they pushed him back down. “Don’t be an idiot,” Xavier said. “You’re way too messed up. You lie low. We’ll come back for you.”
“I’ll stay with him,” Chrissy said.
Trevor smiled at her. “Good kid.”
“I’ll go get Bertie,” Xavier said, standing up.
“I’ll get Margaret,” Trevor replied. “Then we’ll circle back for you two. Or we’ll meet at the parking lot if any of us get held up. Okay?”
The two rushed out. Chrissy watched them leave, then closed the door and made sure it was locked and bolted before going back to Chet’s side. Grabbing some bandages and gauze from the cupboard, she busied herself with bandaging Chet up as well as she could.
“Do you know what you’re doing?” Chet asked her.
Chrissy shrugged. “Not really,” she replied. “But I’m hoping I learned a few things from TV.”
“Well, thanks for trying, at least,” Chet said, and gave her a weak smile. “Hey … what happened while I was out?”
Chrissy shrugged. “What do you mean?”
“You all looked at me so strangely when I woke up,” Chet said. “And my heart … my heart was going crazy. Still is, a little.”
Chrissy hesitated. “Well … you died,” she told him. “Trevor shot you in the heart with an adrenaline shot. I guess they had it here for allergies and stuff, but turns out it’s good for bringing the dead back to life too.” She gave a soft chuckle.
Chet didn’t laugh. “Woah,” he said.
“Yeah.” Chrissy nodded. “Woah.” She finished bandaging him up and cut the excess length off with a long-bladed pair of scissors.
“Do you think I’ll die again?” Chet asked.
Chrissy sighed. “I really don’t know,” she replied honestly. “But I’ll do my best to make sure you don’t.”
“I don’t want to die with a guilty conscience,” Chet said. “I totally did those steroids for the Olympics.”
Chrissy smiled. “That doesn’t matter now,” she said gently. “And if that’s the worst thing you’ve got in your past, I think you’re okay. It sounds like some of the others have done way worse.”
Chet smiled. “I know,” he agreed. “Ray … man, I can’t believe he killed someone. He said it was an accident, but he hid the body and now he’s on the run from the cops.”
Chrissy frowned. “Do you think that means he won’t call them?”
Chet gave a small shrug with his good shoulder. “I don’t know.”
There was silence between them for a moment. Then Chet asked “Hey, where’s you friend? The metalhead?”
Chrissy hung her head. “He … he ran off,” she said. “Mr Jingles was chasing him. I think he was trying to lure him away from us.”
Chet raised his eyebrows. “That took some balls.”
Chrissy gave a watery smile. “I’m really worried about him,” she admitted. “Trevor said if we stuck to the plan he’d meet up with us again, but the plan’s changed like every five minutes and … and I don’t know what’s going on. If we get to the parking lot and Eddie’s not there … do you think they’ll leave without him?”
Chet was silent for a moment. “People do some bad things when they’re scared,” he said eventually.
Chrissy felt tears rising in her eyes and blinked them back fiercely. “That’s what I’m afraid of,” she replied.
Chet’s hand found hers and squeezed. “If I live,” he said, “I’ll do my best to make sure we don’t leave without him. I promise.”
Chrissy squeezed his hand back and smiled. “Thank you,” she whispered.
Their heads jerked up as the sound of three distant gunshots rang out outside. “What was that?” Chet murmured.
Chrissy shook her head. “A gun? Who has a gun?”
Pulling her hand from Chet’s, she crept to the window and peered out. A flash of blonde hair moving dow nthe path caught her eye, and she gasped. “Montana!” Hurrying to the door, she unlocked it and pulled it open. “Montana! Over here!”
Montana stopped and looked round, her expression oddly fierce. For a moment Chrissy wanted to close and lock the door again. Then Montana was smiling and running up to her, and the moment passed. “What are you doing in here?” she cried. “I’ve been looking all over for you guys!” She peeked inside over Chrissy’s shoulder. “Oh shit, what happened to Chet?”
“Jingles laid a trap,” Chrissy replied. “Did you hear the gunshots?”
“Yeah,” Montana replied. “I think Trevor said Margaret has a gun. I hope she’s not in trouble.”
“Trevor’s on his way to her now!” Chrissy exclaimed. “Oh God, what if he got hurt?”
Montana sighed. “Okay, we have got to stop splitting up,” she said.
Chrissy nodded. “Where’s Ray?”
“He bailed,” Montana replied with a snarl. “We got jumped by that Nightstalker asshole and he jumped on the bike and left me. Luckily I managed to lose the creep in the woods. But he could be right behind me, so we should move.” She looked at Chet. “Can he move?”
“I can if there’s a killer coming,” Chet replied, sitting up.
“So Ray didn’t call the police?” Chrissy asked.
“I don’t know. Maybe,” Montana replied.
Chrissy took a deep breath. “Maybe we should stick to the plan, like Trevor said before,” she said. “We go to the parking lot and we wait for the others … or for the police. They know to meet us there, so hopefully …”
Montana nodded. “Sounds good to me.”
“And we have another car,” Chet added. “By the showers. We need to go get it first so we can all get out.”
“There’s a car by the showers?” Montana asked, confused.
Chrissy smiled. “It’s a long and weird story,” she replied. “Help me with Chet? We’ll explain on the way.”

Chloe Hart Q&A
Tumblr media
@/chloesjhart on Instagram, 10 December 2022
Some of the questions asked (Chloe confirms that “a few”, implying at least three, are sick as of the moment):
Q: Fav music genre? A: Apart from musical theatre, of course, it would be Country music. Specifically, the band Rascal Flats — they're, like, my favourite band ever. Um, but in terms of like, modern music [chuckle] sometimes somebody would play something at warm-up and I'll be like, [excited tut] what musical is this from? As like, a joke — um, 'cause I just- I don't really listen to contemporary music.
Q: Favourite Christmas film? A: You can't just pick one! So - I have a few. Um, obviously Home Alone 2 is one of them. Um, After(?) Christmas is one. Um... and one of my new favourite ones is The Christmas Chronicles, which is a Netflix film, um, which is good — and I love Jingle Jangle and, um, I love Miracle On 34th Street — like, the one with Mara Wilson. Um, yeah! And I also really like The Princess Switch [chuckle] with Vanessa Hudgens! So silly!
Q: What's your favourite thing about touring? A: I think it's probably that we essentially have a sleepover every night with my friends, 'cause we share digs most of the time. Um, its basically like having constant sleepovers, like we're all - all of the queens are sharing with one other queen over Christmas, so I'm sharing with Leesa (Tulley), Jen(nifer Caldwell) is sharing with Nat(alie Pilkington), Casey (Al-Shaqsy)'s sharing with Harriet (Caplan-Dean), Jess(ica Niles) is sharing with Grace (Melville), and Becca (Wickes)'s sharing with Alana (Robinson), and so we're all sharing with another person. It just feels like constant sleepovers!
Q: Do you have an updated Aragon costume? A: My costume is being altered, not updated! I have the most up-to-date Aragon costume, um, and it's just being slightly altered size-wise, um, because my body has changed slightly due to lots of gym and stuff, so!
Q: Worst show you've ever had? A: [chuckling] On Six? Um, I don't know if it's the worst show, but when I was in Coventry, um - I haven't been ill very much actually on the show— this is only the second time I've been off ill. Um, but when I was in Coventry, it was the first time, and, um, I had a sickness bug on the Tuesday. And I went back to work on the Wednesday, and... I don't remember the show! I honestly — I came off stage and I was like, "I don't remember doing any of that, it just happened," and I was completely out of it. And then I was off again the next day because I was just — I just came back too soon. So I think that was probably the worst because I don't know what I did! [chuckles] Everyone said I did alright but I- [sighs] God know what happened.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years time? A: Hopefully with a child or two and working as a casting director!
Q: How did you and Ellie (Haffenden, the dep stage manager of Six West End) meet? A: We initially met on the first day on rehearsals, and then, um, we met again after that — we didn't talk that day — and then we met again a few weeks later when I went to the Vaudeville to watch the show. Um, and, then she slid into my DMs! [laughing] She's gonna hate me for saying that!
Q: Did you always want to be in Six? A: Well, there is a fun fact actually that um, I was actually... meant to go to an audition for the original-original cast (presumably referring to the Original Arts Theatre/Albumcast), or like the original... yeah, the original cast. And, um, I didn't go because I went on a holiday to New York instead! [laughter] I also read the breakdown and thought it was totally not something I could do. Um, which is crazy thinking back on, you know... well, thinking back, that some of the girls that were here were still in like, secondary school when that happened.
Q: How do you cope with comments people make about your size during the show? A: Okay, this is gonna be my last question, but thank you so much for keeping me company! [...] So, firstly I just wanna say that um, thank you so much to those who send, sort of, messages of support and love when I've mentioned this happening in the past. And I think it's important to say as well this isn't something that happens every day, not that I know of — it could happen every day, but I only really see it when it's in the first three or four rows and it really isn't nice when I see it. Um, I cope with it differently every time. Sometimes I'm feeling really good and I don't really care and I just, like, let it wash off my back and I just don't say anything. Some days I get a bit upset, some days I get a bit angry. And some days I just get sorry for those people that have that and I'm reminded sort of — um, I also think it's really sad that those people have obviously missed the entire point of the show, which is about building up people and empowering them, and celebrating, and not judging. Um, and... these people obviously don't really compute that because they sit there commenting and judging upon my body and literally going "oh my gosh, she's in a leotard and she's wearing a tights and a leotard and she's big!" like it's a crazy, crazy notion, but um, you know, I guess- I guess that's their opinion and that's fine, it's just- it's a shame that they can make me feel really vulnerable and self-conscious, um, on-stage, which it does sometimes. Um... but, I'm just glad that I'm old enough for that to not really affect me outside of it; it worries me other people who might be more impressionable. Um... but yeah.
