There Was Always an ST Plan: To Find A New Rey Of Light

Huge SPOILERS from #TheRiseOfSkywalker 

I never pull this card, but I graduated the "Harvard of Art colleges" #OCADu with honours, scholarship awards and chosen as the one student to represent my Sculpture/Installation program to the Ontario gov. I'm pulling this card this one time so people know it's actually my trained profession to assess this stuff.

#TheLastJedi was the culmination of the #deconstructivism that actually started in TFA, and TROS was the intended reconstruction. I have chosen the most prominent intentional symbol of this, Rey's lightsabers.

Short #arthistory lesson. #Deconstruction in #arttheory came out of #Enlightenment  France, as a tool to revaluate the old light (the failed values of the Church) and to reconstruct a new light, a new path, a hopefully more "reasoned" way forward. The point is the reconstruction. Not deconstruction for deconsruction's sake. #RianJohnson knew that his deconstructed elements would be so that the next film could find new light. He had direction from #KathleenKennedy, especially regarding #Palpatine. That's where TLJ fans sometimes viewed that film in error. They thought, oh it's so Avant-Garde, he killed Snoke, he killed that trope in SW. No he didn't. He wrote it for the twist that was coming in Rise. That's why #Snoke theories never sucked. Well, RJ wrote it both ways, that is what is so truly brilliant, both a deconsruction and an opening for the coming twist. For the record, RJ is "my" director, I want more SW from him. Rey's broken saber (also Luke and Anakin's) is the perfect symbol for the deconstructed view of the Jedi light that Luke taught Rey in TLJ, "To think that if the Jedi die, the light dies, is vanity, can you see that?"

Anyways, I also love #JJAbrams, and his reconstructed answer to this is a new symbol of light, Rey's self constructed new yellow lightsaber. A new en-light-emment. A new Rey of light. (What this yellow symbol means is whole other blog), but the point is that we all think for ourselves about what this means.

I submit to you, the fans that are angry there was "no ST plan", that it's time to rethink your own assumptions. It's in Rey's name, which JJ chose. Reconstructing the rey of light of what SW is, was always the intention of the creators of this trilogy.

To think that if the light is deconstructed, the light dies is vanity, can you see that?

jj abrams directed super 8, and in portal 2 there’s an extra which is a playable teaser for the movie super 8. This is made more interesting considering that jj ambrams is working on the portal movie (announced around 2013, and confirmed to be still in development like, today)

By calling him a sadist, Moff makes me think that he never watched a single Columbo episode (just like JJ Ambrams never watched Star Trek TOS) or, if he did, he failed to grasp the nature of the character, which isn't surpring at all to me.
