spring’s promise
[id: It’s a redraw of the JJK volume 26 cover. Gojo, who is depicted here as albino with freckles peppering his skin and gold earrings, is still the main focus and takes up the center frame. He is smiling softly at the viewer. His outfit is nearly identical to his cover counterpart, though his kimono here has a dragonfly pattern on it and is folded right over left as how one would dress someone for burial. Branches stretch up around him and spring’s promise camellias frame his face. The sky is blue but snow is gently falling. /end id]

List of things that point towards Gojo Satoru & Geto Suguru being kissers of boys with connections to eachother
(If they did kiss though is another story)
Note: the list will be divided into different sections with space in between. So don't go speed scrolling through if you don't want spoilers. :"3
Some of these are less serious, but are still included because all the more content for these two sillies.
--- Last updated: April 26th, 2024 Note: Make sure to check the original post if viewing a reblog version in case Tumblr does not update things under the "read more" like it used to be able to.

572. This number is used frequently as a ship number for the two as "GoGe" the ship name can also be produced as "GoNatsu". Go means 5 and the rest sound similar to 72. These numbers ironically show up accross the series a few times and also in official merch. (Some examples being a clock in season 2 episode 1 stopped at 5 hours 7 minutes 20 seconds or a Gojo teddy bear priced at ¥57,200)
JJK official fanbook
"Q: Please tell us his first impression when he first met Geto. A: Bangs."
"Q: He seems to be aware that he is handsome, but doesn't he want a lover? A: I can't imagine Gojo being faithful to a particular woman."
"Q: Is there anything you are particular about Geto's character design? A: Bangs"
One of Gojo's songs & one of Geto's songs given to them. "Shame on you" by "Avicii" (a break up song) for Gojo and "Come back Home" by "Two door cinema club" for Geto. Stated in volume 3 chapter 24.
The sheer amount of times Geto shows up in MMVs for Gojo and how they display the impact Geto had on Gojo (For example, the latest MMV for volume 26's release)
Their birthday's solar terms tying in with parts. (Geto being "Risshun" beginning of spring & Gojo being "Taisetsu" heavy snow.)

"I've always believed... ...Love manifests the most distorted curses." / "This is my personal theory, but there's no curse more twisted than love."
Even after 10 years, Gojo recognized Geto's smell. (The mall scene after Yuta & Toge fought the curse)

"That's what I've decided, so Sato is better."

"But to Gojo Satoru, he was —— '————, ————' '...ha.' When he heard the words Gojo blurted out, Geto couldn't help but laugh. Such embarrassing [...] words. Even why they were students, those words had never been said before. 'You should've at least cursed me a little before the end.' December 24, 2017. The flowers in the intro & outro. [Peep who reminded me]
The purple ones (Located on table in the part where older Gojo is sitting in a chair by a window) are possibly Primula/Primrose flowers. They can represent young love, beauty, desire, desperate, and can be a symbol of spring and renewal/new beginnings. etc.
The yellow ones (Located in the part where Gojo & Geto are sitting together with their hands & cans of soda surrounded by the flowers) are possibly osmanthus flowers. They can represent love, passion, happiness, beauty, etc.

Despite the following about Geto's state, Geto's body still instinctively reacted to stop Kenjaku from hurting Gojo.
"Q: Fake Geto's arm was moving during the Shibuya Incident, but how much of Geto's consciousness remains in the body? A: Not much. He was moving like how a dragonfly whose neck was torn off can move."
Fun fact: Some owls pair/bond for life (Whether the owl is supposed to be Geto's because Kenjaku is using Geto at the time or it's not Geto's animal because that is Kenjaku is up to you)

Volume 26
The Camilla flowers with snow. Not only do they represent Gojo well with their meaning, including one meaning being unchanging/strong love alongside modest love / beauty for pink, but flowers are given to different dates. The birth flower of February is this flower, said to bloom on the 3rd of this month. Aka Geto's birthday.
Tumblr media
Chapter 236
Gojo actively chose to fight on December 24th (a day considered romantic for Japan) which is now the day both Geto and him have died on. Even Kenjaku acknowledges the days significance with
"Ha ha! How romantic. Isn't it gross to make plans with each other on Christmas eve?"
These lines
Tumblr media
Both Gojo & Geto's volumes' numbers can have bad meanings in Japan. 4 can mean death & 9 can mean to suffer/agony. (I put this under volume 26's section because of the spoiler)
---
There's likely more, but this is what we could think of right now. XD If you have anything you want to add on, feel free to send it my way because the more help the better & easier this is. (^w^ ) Same for any corrections to the list (as it's just me writing up this post and I may make slip ups)

Just going to share some random thoughts about the promo and the afterlife in jjk here.
Tumblr media
I was so confused about this promo release at first, but now that I’ve had a skim of the scenes and what it portrays, I’m left with a sense of sadness - and the bittersweet scene of the empty chairs at the airport...
Tumblr media
…just - sigh.
I felt like it was a good way to promote the release of the latest jjk manga as a way to also commemorate Gojo’s life. I struggle to put my emotions into words at the moment, but will say that I hope they find peace after all they have been through. Each one of them.
Of course the debate continues about whether they all went together, where they headed, etc. I’m not here to insist upon any one belief, really. I, too, wonder what the afterlife means in jjk.
In my previous post about the cover of volume 26, I touched on what Shinto Buddhism has to say about it. It may be that there is a realm between nothingness (enlightenment) and the human world (rebirth = more suffering) that they reside in now.
Other Buddhist beliefs talk about pure land and nirvana. There’s the more recent interpretation by Larue and Miguel about heaven and hell — so, really, who knows?
We also don’t know what North and South actually mean. So far, speculations are around becoming someone new or going back. But in what way, exactly?
Someone on Twitter/now X had an interesting theory which focused on Geto having a domain (link: https://x.com/kostivedae/status/1775185991818465599?s=12&t=fRFF_o0I99NKUvzHwQHykA) and expanded on why, how it links to Gojo based on a deeper appreciation for the symbolism in mandalas drawn by Gege and those in Tibetan (?) Buddhism, and how they might still be hanging around or trapped.
It’s a really interesting read, but the main takeaway for me to bring this up here is that this individual speculates that the four are talking in a cursed realm. Which Kenjaku is referring to here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, I never understood this part much. Was it ever expanded upon? Can someone enlighten me in the comments?
I don’t know if it does relate to the Shinto belief about existing “somewhere” and they are cursed, therefore unable to reach “nothingness” (enlightenment) and have no choice but to exist in some land somewhere between that and the human realm. Not that it may be a bad thing? Depends on whether they want to keep living or end their suffering by becoming one with nothingness?
My personal interpretation was that as sorcerers they are like Dewas (higher beings) and therefore get judged differently in death. So it’s similar to a Shinto belief or in certain Buddhist sections, they can move into a Pure land based on the Buddha they follow (this is based on 5 Buddhas/directions).
But my understanding is basic, at best.
So going back to the video and linking it to what the OP on twitter/now X is speculating… if the plane indeed took off and Gege gave animators the “go ahead” to do this, does that mean that the theory about the cursed realm is debunked?
Honestly I’m not sure I like the idea that Geto’s soul is still around and participating in the culling games alongside Kenjaku. This is bizarre to me, but I’ll withhold judgement since it’s a theory. I will say that I did not interpret his behaviour at the airport as shady at all.
I guess we wait and find out if Gege ever expands on this and how the series unfolds.

⚠️ JJK CHAPTER 253 SPOILERS
yeah so that chapter was kinda short but it left me SO ANXIOUS like WHAT DO YOU MEAN KUSAKABE IS ABOUT TO CONFRONT SUKUNA?!
it started with a flashback where all the jujutsu teachers were praising kusakabe for being the strongest grade 1 sorcerer, but so far he's been doing his best to avoid being in the ring, but now he has no choice
I really don't want this to happen but maki might get eaten by sukuna after he hit a black flash 😟
ino got attacked after using nanami's blunt sword
still nothing on megumi
and break next week...
and the only mention of yuji is sukuna saying he's half assed compared to maki
anyway gojo is gonna be on the cover for volume 26
SUKUNA BETTER LEAVE MAKI THE FUCK ALONE

went to my side blog that i opened specially for gojo, and when i saw my header, i was dumbstruck 💀 it got me instantly reminded by the cover of jjk volume 26 which we all knew gojo is the character on the front cover - except the flowers were different and no snow were seen but still... the vibe is there.

JJK | Laundry Fairy Jeon Jeongguk (Friday, 1:04 AM)
At the East Side Laundromat, you find the Laundry Fairy in his natural habitat, washing his clothes and dancing along to the music playing through his earbuds.—fluff, non-idol!au
friday, 1:04 am :: tuesday, 12:26 am :: sunday, 10:22 pm :: monday, 3:04 pm
1,614 words
Tumblr media
g. cred
Admittedly, it’s not a great room.
The floors are black speckled tile, stained blue and red and green, dirt is caked into the corners and the grout. The walls are stark white, dotted with posters and signs and obscene graffiti. The machines are old, rattling things that have been retrofitted to take credit cards as well as coins. There are fluorescent lights like track marks across the ceiling, giving everything a harsh burn around the edges. The benches pushed up against the walls and windows are made of plastic and are uncomfortable. The vending machines repeatedly refuse to take money of any kind, and when they do they refuse to forfeit the chosen snack.
But it has become a kind of safe haven.
The purple bench is your favorite because it’s harder to see the stains, and because it allows you to hide behind the vending machines from the windows (where, many times, guys of all kinds have knocked on the glass, catcalled, and made your heart race with fear for your safety) while also giving you a pretty good view of the room. You glance away from your book to check your phone. Usually, when Haerin is done she’ll send you some kind of text (past examples include: “That was hot,” “Yum,” and an eggplant emoji with a winky face) so that you’ll know it’s safe to go back to the apartment.
It’s 1 AM and still no text. You’re in for a long night.
It’s awful, but you did bring a lot of laundry. So at least it will be productive. Plus you’ve brought Herodotus, which you are woefully behind on. And a couple of Red Bulls.
You sigh. Despite that mental pep talk, you are exhausted. Professor Go really laid into your seminar group today about the historical analysis you all were supposed to (and somehow collectively decided not to) do this week. And Penny has been a wreck since Jackson left for his semester abroad. And you ran out of ramyeon last night.
You shift uncomfortably on the bench and lay your head against the wall. What you’d give for your own bed right now.
And then, just because you’re soaked through with your personal rain cloud and because it’s very, very late (early?), the door dings and someone enters the abandoned laundromat. And you already know who it is.
Peeking from behind the vending machine, you spot him: The Laundry Fairy.
It’s been two and a half weeks since a sighting. His hair’s darker. His shoulders seem tense, and the way he puts down his laundry basket is almost angry. He only ever brings a single load at a time; you figure he comes so often that he never needs to bring more than one load. He’s got his signature detergent and fabric softener (Downey).
Tonight he’s wearing tight black skinny jeans and a grey sweatshirt. Sneakers. If you squint, his hair seems to be fashionably gelled.
“Who are you?” you whisper.
You gasp when he flinches, slamming yourself back against the wall to completely shield yourself from his gaze. You’ve come to believe that The Laundry Fairy is like Santa Clause—you can’t let him see you! But it’s possible that’s just your social anxiety talking.
When you peek back out again, he’s opened the washer and is slowly, carefully putting clothes inside. You watch his shoulders as he does it, the tension giving way to relaxation. It makes sense that doing laundry would relax The Laundry Fairy.
You sit back onto your bench again and sigh. As always, the appearance of The Laundry Fairy does make you feel a little bit better. You are not the only person with nothing better to do but laundry at 1 AM on a Friday. You are not the only person that enjoys it, that finds comfort in it.
You’re surprised though when you hear him curse softly from across the room. And even more surprised when you hear his foot slam into the machine, “Stupid.”
When you look out from the other side of the vending machine again, you see he hasn’t started his machine yet. His wallet is laid on top of the closed lid, and notice a couple of empty slots. No card. He always pays with his card.
You dig into the pocket of your sweatshirt, feeling around for the coin purse and untangling it from your cheap pair of earbuds. You fumble through the change, calculate the laundry you still have left and make a decision. Heart racing, you stand from the bench, emerge from behind the vending machine and offer The Laundry Fair some money.
“Do you,” you’re stuttering, coming to a complete stop when he spins around (surprised anyone else is here) to look at you. You’ve never seen his face full-on before, you now realize, and it’s gorgeous. You sputter, mutter the word, “Fairy,” under your breath, because now that you’ve seen him your inside joke is obviously true, before actually getting out your question. “Do you need some change?” Your voice is quiet, like the full force of his face has turned your volume down.
He’s so pretty you want to die. You want to choke on your words or your change or your personal rain cloud and just disappear from the Earth. He’s so pretty.
And he’s blushing. He scratches the back of his neck and nods, “Yes, please.”
His voice is so melodic you want to die. Death is clearly the only option.
You’re so overwhelmed that you’re frozen. And he seems embarrassed so he stays where he is. Your offer of a few coins hangs in the air awkwardly, your hand in the air with your sushi-cartoon-covered coin purse.
It takes at least thirty seconds for you to realize that you actually have to give him the money. You stumble forward like a newborn calf that’s just discovered its legs, holding out your coin purse desperately.
He reaches out his hand, hovering inches above yours when the door opens with a sharp ding and a sudden burst of activity. You flinch, pulling back slightly, blushing as if you’ve been caught in an incredibly intimate moment. When you glance at his face, you find it similarly colored.
He knows the intruders.
There’s six of them that come tumbling into the laundromat, the largest group of people you’d ever seen come in at one time. The Laundry Fairy looks up when they enter, his hand subconsciously falling away from you and your almost-touch.
“JK! JK!” A boy with brown hair and a blue jacket emerges from the group. His smile is a box that takes up his entire face; if all you put in that box was warm feelings and happy memories. A Bright Fairy. Most importantly though, he has a small blue square in his hand. “You forgot this,” the boy says, handing him the credit card and jumping to sit on a closed washer.
The loud sound that the machine makes when the boy jumps on top of it makes you unfreeze. While they’re all preoccupied you hurry back to your hiding place. You slide onto the plastic bench and try to press yourself against the wall, your heart racing. You lean forward to peek out from behind the machine; everyone’s chatting happily, no one seems to have noticed you, except for The Laundry Fairy (who hadn’t seen you run away, but has noticed your absence and is adorably surprised and confused to find you no longer standing where you were). You smile at his expression, a warm fluttery feeling in your chest.
You shift your gaze to inspect the rest of the group: there are the Laundry Fairy and the Bright fairy (you guess that they’re the youngest of the group in the way the rest of the group surrounds them, indulges them). The eldest seems to be a boy with light brown hair and what seems to be a limitless supply of lame jokes, but you can already tell that they all admire him. Then there’s a boy, too, whose hair you guess used to be pink but has faded to an almost blonde color, a hint of dark roots - the Laundry Fairy is watching him with what you would almost call reverence. Then there’s a boy with bright orange hair, his arm around the Laundry Fairy casually as he laughs and his eyes disappear. Another has almost black hair and the kind of comfort in his limbs that oozes confidence and happiness. When your eyes scan for number seven, you almost have a heart attack when you find a pair of dark eyes already watching you. His hair is mint, stuffed under a gray beanie, and his tired eyes are latched on you.
You press yourself against the wall again and stick your head in your book. They talk for what seems like ages, but soon enough you hear the familiar swishing of a (second, to yours) operating washing machine.
“Let’s eat!”
“What’s open?”
There’s a grumbling of different answers (the consensus is, unsurprisingly, McDonald's) and then the shuffling of many feet. You peek your head around the vending machine when you hear the door open, happy to be greeted by seven (slim, muscular, broad…) backs. You sigh in relief, your levels of social apprehension already lessening. Your eyes find the Laundry Fairy easily, tousling his hair as he takes one last glance back into the laundromat (it is brave of him to leave his clothes unprotected). And just as he does so, he finds you. And maybe you imagine it, but you could’ve sworn there was a little smile on his lips at the sight.
