Owen: Brown Shirt, Grey Pants

I love how the DMA costume matches Owen's personal color scheme from the opening scene. Brown shirt, grey pants. It's a brilliant piece of costuming, raises interesting questions about how much of Owen leaks into his "performance" as the DMA, and is one of the biggest clues pointing to the Big Reveal.

Which is part of why (and I'm sure soooo many people have said this already) it was not only brilliant of TCB to have Owen's DMA disguise be played by Joe Walker, but it was extra sharp to introduce him at the exact same time as a new Joey character.

Clues are there. The accent (after Owen's Russian one), the blood lust, the mysterious personal history with Curt. The clothes.

But anyone searching for a hint of Owen's survival is too busy trying to out if he's Sergio to think too hard about the color of the DMA's shirt.

Just toolin' around, looking for Sam McKinniss paintings, as one does, and came across this wild portrait he made while he was still an undergrad, Joe Santo, Class Passing (2006), in a 2015 auction in rural Connecticut.

What's even wilder is this absolute unit of a Lowell Nesbitt painting of Alex Katz's studio from 1972 which was the lot right before Sam's in the auction. Same collection, perhaps? This thing is almost nine feet wide, btw.

Simple explanation for why voting third party is a vote for Trump.

There are two scenarios that play out here:

1. Biden wins 270 electoral votes. Biden becomes president.

2. Biden doesn't win 270 electoral votes. Trump becomes president.

In the case that Biden doesn't get 270 votes, either Trump got 270 or nobody got 270. It is statistically impossible that a third candidate gets 270. Either Trump instantly wins or the vote goes to the House. Who controls the House? Republicans, who will vote for Trump. That's it, there is no other option.

Biden must win 270 or else Trump will become President. Abstaining is not an option. Third party voting is not an option. We went through this in 2000, and Bush's win changed America's political landscape forever. We went through this in 2016, and we're still trying to recover from the impact Trump's presidency has had on this nation. Whether you like Biden or not, Trump and his appointees will be orders of magnitude worse.
