I watched this for the first time today and I'm absolutely floored. Hungary 2020. Max crashed and broke his front lap during the reconnaissance lap. The Grand Prix starts in 20 minutes. The RedBull pit crew and mechanics have to fix the car by manually dragging it to the starting grid -- but if the tyres are not fitted 5 minutes before the GP starts they will be fined.

Absolutely insane coordination, you can really see how important and calm Jonathan Wheatley was and what an asset to the team. The mechanics, everybody working in tandem, getting the permissions from FIA in record time. You see this and you truly understand why Max is so loyal to RedBull. like fuck. THIS is what makes you rep a team

Here is my list of the 2025 team principals ranked by how hot they are:

1. Toto Wolff - doesn’t need an explanation really

2. Jonathan Wheatley - silver fox that escaped the worst team possible yay

3. Andrea Stella - something about his eyebrows does it for me. I love that he looks mad all the time

4. Ayao Komatsu - I adore his dimples when he smiles

5. James Vowles - went to the Toto Wolff school of swag

6. Laurent Mekies - has that philosophy professor swag and he looks great in a suit + I love his eccentric glasses

7. Oliver Oakes - ngl…there’s something about this man that I don’t trust, I just can’t put my finger on it. He is conventionally attractive I guess

8. Fred Vasseur - Fred, I adore you. I have nothing else to add

9. Andy Cowell - I know nothing about this man.

10. Christian Horner - Before his scandal became public, not gonna lie, he was top 5. Now I can’t even look at his face ugh ew

Stake F1 team principal Jonathan Wheatley has suggested the F1 pecking order could undergo a big change at the Spanish Grand Prix. The Barcelona round will be the first to feature the FIA's stricter flexi-wing tests, with added scrutiny placed on how much the elements can bend at high speed. Some teams have been working to adjust their wings to be ready for the Spanish event, while others have maintained they do not need to make any changes. F1's competitive landscape is being led by McLaren, who has won five out of the opening six rounds of the season. But Wheatley, who started his new role at Stake earlier this year following his exit from Red Bull, thinks the fresh clampdown from the FIA could have significant ramifications to the pecking order. “It's a major performance differentiator, so I think you're right, it could be a change in the order," Wheatley said. "You look at how tight it is at the front and in the midpack, a little change like that could have a huge difference.”
