weird question but if joyce marries hopper do you think she will change her last name? because thats not even her own name its lonnie's and it would be weird if she kept her first husband's name when she was married to her second husband

This is such a good question mostly bc my most controversial take is that I don't think they ever get married. Like to me at least Jopper has the vibe of "older couple who spend the rest of their lives together but don't remarry"

So I'm not sure I have the answer. On the one hand, yes I can absolutely see her being Joyce Hopper. But idk something about Byers being the boys name too has me thinking she'd hold onto it. Like she didn't change it back to Maldonado when they divorced and I'm pretty sure it's because of Jonathan and Will. (The Jonathan & Will last name debate is one i don't have energy to speak on tbh)

So maybe it's Byers-Hopper. Or maybe she just doesn't take Hopper's name 🤷‍♀️ I really don't know.
