Idk if it’s the translator problem or the author’s problem (tbf the novel translations are a lil too literal) but the manhwa explored the emotional turmoil and character development of Juhyeok sm better 💀 the pacing is better too

Witnessing Gangsan's character from the very beginning makes me notice something I find really interesting.

At first, I thought he is someone who couldn't say no and is willing to let himself be pushed left, right and center, and the drama would show his personal growth to fend for himself.

But now I realise there's more layer to his character.

Gangsan has been, consistently loving in nature, and he does so with compassion; even when it's hard for him, he does so fiercely through gritted teeth.

And his methods have always been in a way, tender. He lays himself on the ground to let other people, especially his loved ones, be happy.

As long as they are happy, he'd be content.

But now that he's started to love Mirae (and this is even before his romantic pursuit for her), he's faced with the fact that sometimes being tender is not the solution to protect his loved ones.

Against someone who wouldn't back down until they are taught a lesson, being tender does not protect Mirae from the constant harassment from Juhyeok.

So I love it when Gangsan FINALLY raised his voice in anger towards Juhyeok — he raised his voice in frustration to his father in an earlier episode and even then it was already a growth tbh — by SCREAMING his name and pushing him away from Mirae, creating a safe space for Mirae from her harasser, after failing to protect her in numerous occassions.
