Ohh boy a wacky question

Starting with the basic ones many seem to point at…

Aekku/Mulmangcho? Helll yess I’m all for this ship. Massive kudos to whoever’s cooking those Ao3 fanfics involving them. They’re peaking my interest big time and I can’t wait for more 👀

Geumsaegi/Juldarami is another big one I enjoy! I ship the both of them with others, but in terms of a healthy, long lasting relationship this one is it. It’s clear the pair care deeply about eachother, and you root for their safety constantly. If they weren’t constantly dealing with the enemy they’d cuddle up no doubt—

On a similar note, I am also for shipping all of Team Pangulggot. I’m not afraid of poly ships and MAN they are all close with each other. I see this as more platonic, but I don’t mind if someone sees them all as romantic! I just want all of them to be happy tbh.

Now to the more niche…

I ship Commander Jogjebi/Geumsaegi. Is it healthy and reciprocated? HELL NO—

This is honestly a joke ship for me. Throughout the series Com. Jogjebi drops everything for his ‘Special aid’, throws him well done parties…bro even buys him an expensive car. This ship would be EXTREMELY one sided, with Geum absolutely hating him as usual…

A more normal ship for me would be Com. Jogjebi/Huinjogjebi. Like CeilingKarasu pointed out, I’d be a long distance one, but they seem to care about each other regardless. Even after death, Huinjogjebi stays loyal to Jogjebi’s ideals for the weasel army.

One ship I’ve heard of and has caught my interest is the idea of Geomeunjogjebi/Oegwipali, but I’m not quite sure if I vibe with it yet. It seems like an interesting one for sure though…

I feel like Assistant Jogjebi is Aroace. I don’t ship him with anyone. No particular reason why; it’s just me gripping this enemy character and shaking him affectionately.

When you're running a blog you either have nothing to post or you have far too much to post. That's why you're getting a special treat today. Several full color pictures! WOOOO!

First of all this is an older picture of Field Mouse 6 I did for @32girassoisdevangogh. Ages ago I googled Squirrel and Hedgehog fanart and managed to somehow find my sketches of Field Mouse 6. They were so faint you could barely see what was going on. That honestly pushed me into coloring my drawings.

I did this one with my old markers. They're far darker which is quite a problem as once you lay a color you can't lighten it with a pencil. Let's ignore that I somehow managed to do the impossible when it comes to the uniform.

A picture of Geumsaegi I originally drew for @wouldyouliketoseemyshell 's ask. It's pretty cute though I wanted him to look younger. It's those long legs. As for why he's dressed as a Victorian news boy... I honestly thought that this was something a kid in the 1920's would wear. My bad😅.

This is my OC Choon Hee. What's this? Someone in the fandom already has a squirrel named Choon Hee? Damn it! Write to me what I should name her.

She's got melanism, which is an overproduction of melanin in animals. She's looking a bit uncanny. Black fur is super hard to do. It's very shiny that's why I didn't put any markers under it. Black also sucks in a lot of colours. That's why I added blue and purple.

As for her personality she's very feminine. Enjoying picking flowers and cooking. But she also has quite a fiery attitude. A typical tsundere. Mainly to Juldarami.

Lastly a picture of Mulmancho dressed as a prince. To quickly explain his backstory in my AU he was the crown prince of the Mouse Kingdom. Until the mice pulled a peasant uprising funded by the weasels. Now Mulmancho is undercover in the weasel army waiting for the opportunity to rebuild his empire.

Who knows if I ever get around to doing something with this idea. I got a GAZILLION Squirrel and Hedgehog fan project ideas.

What do you think about the drawings? This post took me a while to put together. There's more art I want to show that's not Squirrel and Hedgehog related.

So I just started watching the English Dub of Squirrel and Hedgehog/Brave Soldiers (idk), so far I'm only three episodes in

it's a very fascinating show, as described by a good friend of mine @mortaldeathling​ it's quite a bit like Happy Tree Friends except if it was a political thriller. The voice acting in the dub isn't the best (I wouldn't about the original version) and the animation is quite choppy so it's rather funny in those aspects. But the subject matter is deeply engaging, if not rather horrifying, it's a show I would definitely suggest you never show a child. As for the characters:

Geumsaegi/Ginio - My favourite, a very sweet and smart squirrel boi, whenever he's in danger I start to cuss and get panicked

Goseumdochi/Thisizio - So far I don't know much about him but he is also very interesting, his bromance with Ginio is simply adorable and very sweet, he seems like a smart lad

Juldarami/Kaio - Also don't know much about this character but he has possibly the most pleasant voice, it's very soft and he seems to care a lot about his home which is always good

Gom/Sansorso - A character who's probably not in it much but when I first saw him I really laughed at how silly was, an honourable mention if you will

So yeah, while I don't agree with North Korean ideology, of course, and I hate how this show is shown to kids the show in itself is something I definitely recommend

Results are out!!

Yes I did vote for the acrylic paintings. I wanted to see the results early and that was the only way I could think of.

Honestly I needed the change of art direction. I was getting burned out😭. Thanks to that kick in the butt I painted three Julderami's and wrote quite a fair bit today.

Something that was nice to see was the sort of reincarnation of my old ocs. Geumsaegi being a stoic guy always training because he views himself worthless if he can't protect others. Juldarami being a loving uncle type that acts more like a kid then an adult. Bamsaegi being... Well he isn't a comically stoic 8 year old trans boy (though that would explain why we only see Geumsaegi's "sister" once)... But he does like technology.

Sigh. I do miss those characters a lot. But their story was just so crazy complex. If I ever bring them back they will be quite different. Most likely as furies. Which they kinda were in the original...

Lastly about my design of Juldarami. I wanted to give them different coloured eyes rather than brown. The two Goseumdouchi's are the only ones to keep their original eye colour. Oh yeah. And Mulori! Juldarami wasn't planned to have green eyes. Those were originally Geumsaegi's.

But then I made Geumsaegi's dad albino so as a reference to that I gave Geumsaegi red eyes. I don't know much about albinism. I don't know if you can have just red eyes but pigment everywhere else. Then again. Have you ever seen a squirrel with green eyes hopping around?

Other changes include Juldarami being slightly taller than Geumsaegi and instead of two stripes he has three. I did a bit of a mistake when painting him.

I think I'm going to have to do more sprites than just three. Children can be remarkably expressive. Except for Geumsaegi. I like the joke of him always having the same stoic expression.

Kinda like I originally imagined Scout Goseumdouchi before. Now he's just chill all the time. I got to make a post sometimes about my head cannon for the two Goseumdouchi's. A big inspiration for them was Griffith. Peter Griffith.

Back to the two brothers. I fixed the albinism issue by just switching to anime rules. No one is arguing Kaguyasama has albinism.

Besides that I don't have much more to say. I did make Geumsaegi's uniform a different shade of green than Julderami's. More yellowish. I also made Geumsaegi wear his uniform all neat and proper. Juldarami always has to have his uniform open and damn it did he give his hat to Bamsaegi?! And he lost it?!!!??

Lastly I'm reading a book about Noth Korea. I'm almost done. I will make a separate post about it. It's really good.

I guess I will just dump them here...

First up starting off strong with EMO GEUMSAEGI!!! Because what is more angsty than war? Personally I imagine Geumsaegi's favorite song to be Bring Me To Life. You know the one with the

WAKE ME UP INSIDE!!!

Geumsaegi is a very reserved... animal? Person? We'll go with character. While Juldarami is prone to big emotional out bursts. Example being him shooting at everyone when he thinks Murori died. Geumsaegi drives off to a lonely cliff to cry for Goseumdouchi after he dies.

Some Geumsaegi x Juldarami fanart. I'm a basic bitch so these two are my favorite ship. The reserved prim and proper Geumsaegi and the the cool uncle with a motorcycle energy that Juldarami has, just chef's kiss! I imagine them raising Bamsaegi as a gay couple. Aww.

Also although they are each other's primary partners they are in an open relationship. So you can ship anyone with them ( provided they are able to consent). And yes. That means even yourself.

You though we were done with emo Geumsaegi? Think again! I thought about making a Squirrel and Hedgehog edit to WAKE ME UP INSIDE but it sounds like a lot of work and I'm currently on Holiday. Though I did think about doing some animation in Procreate with my designs. Like an anime intro. With WAKE ME UP INSIDE as the opening music. We will see.

So remember the hedgehog part in Squirrel and Hedgehog. I did some studies of these spiky fellas so I can draw Roxy's favorite Goseumdouchi.

Second attempt looking far better. I also wanted him to look androgynous because I originally thought he was a girl. That's because in the original he has the same hairstyle as me. I suppose a spike style. A bob.

And there's a limit of ten imagines per post. I guess you're going to have to wait till tomorrow or some other day I get around to posting more.

We haven't even gotten to a nother one of my favorites Mulmancho (I hope I spelled the name right) and Murori.
