That was a lot of chessposting. Have some quaternion julia sets, as a treat These act as 3D slices of 4D extensions of julia sets. I believe this one is cubic in nature. To render these we use some math I dont understand from this blog to generate a distance estimator that can then be used to raymarch the sets. Raymarching is essentially marching along rays coming from the camera, only moving as far as we know we can move safely in any direction, until we hit something. This safe distance is where the distance estimator comes in. Anyways pretty pictures

Just made the mistake of picturing pope and wifey who already have a set of twins finding out she’s pregnant again with another set 🫣

FUCK OFF!!! imagine irish twins after a pair of real twins... the sparkly earnest look in his eyes when you tell him!! he's smiling and probably playing with one of the babies or rocking them to sleep while you're cradling the other. "we're having twins again?" and if you got worried about taking care of so many babies he's the first one to reassure you!!! that the two of you will be fine and they'll all be so close with each other and when they're older </3 my heart is breaking i want to give him twins so badly!!!! to curl up at night while he talks to the babies about how being a twin is the greatest bond in the world and they'll always have their sibling because he won't let anything bad happen to any of them. that their big sisters are excited to meet them (the babies won't even be talking when the twins are born). the others make jokes like "jeez pope give 'er a break" and "you two really don't leave the house huh" and its just <3 happy domestic pope all i can wish for
