Hey everyone, I’m just giving my Ko-Fi shop a bump!! I’m going to be moving out of my current apartment and into a new place starting July 1st, so I’ll be closing my online shop in advance! The closing time will be June 19th, since I’ll be basically afk for a few days to help my family celebrate my brother’s high school graduation too.

I can’t say when the shop will be re-opened after this; I’m currently trying to evaluate my current products and see if I can make adjustments to my current lineup and whatnot in order to make it more efficient. This could mean that I might discontinue some products and designs that aren’t selling well, and that I could move the shop to a new site altogether. It’s still on the drawing board, but I wanted to give a head’s up in advance that things might be changing moving forward this year.

Either way, thank you for the support for my shop and designs so far!

Watching tfa is so great because I’ll finally watch an episode of it and every single thing that happens in it causes such insane things to happen in my brain that makes me completely incapable of watching more than one singular episode every like several months !!!

I watch one bulkhead centered episode and that’s enough to keep me fed in fact I have to take my time to process it because I feel like I might die and explode if I watch too much at once, these robots do such things to my brain guys you actually have no idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Achieved start of the year goals

Didn't fulfill my last year's goal of making commissions a full time job. I mean, I did for a little bit while but it's still not the right time yet.

Though what I did unexpectedly accomplish is that my fear of cockroaches had decreased. We had a family of house shrews this year (usually we had mice) and I learned they mainly eat insects. I still like to avoid killing the few huntsman spiders we have hanging around so the next big insect available would normally be a roach. So I'd bonk one if I find one (instead of immediately bolting out the room) so I can feed the shrews. I mean cockroaches, specially the American cockroach, still freaks me the heck out. But, like, it's shrew food.

Oh, also bought a display tab. I'll always be grateful to the Ko-fi supporters for reaching this goal! I'm still in the middle finding my rhythm with the tablet. Considering getting a paperlike screen protector to minimize the glass texture.

2024 goal

A new laptop of course. My ideapad is in the cusps of dying. 😭

I don't feel that productive in the drawing department this year. :/ My current day job does pay a little higher than my commissions and ko-fi requests combined... But I really don't fill fulfilled when I make less drawings. Let's see if I can make commissions a full time job this year. Or at least try to see if I can make my top source of income drawing related.

There are other goals I hope to accomplish this year, but these are the main drawing related ones.

Regarding commissions

There will be some adjustments to the background prices in regular commissions. Because, like, I shouldn't price it lower than the base price if I spent as much time drawing it. Lol

I think I'll rate Ko-fi doodle requests based on what the piece literally contain instead of basing on the amount of time spent drawing the request. It'll make things simpler specially with comics. I'll make a post about the changes when I decide on the settled rates

Meet July's Pal of the Month: The Diamondback Terrapin!

The diamondback terrapin gets it's name from the diamond-shape bullseyes on their shells and is the official state reptile of Maryland! It is the only turtle in the United States that lives primarily in brackish rivers and marshes. They can, however, survive a wide range of salinities due to a special gland around their eyes that allows them to expel excess salt! Although they do not have flippers like sea turtles, their webbed hind feet make them excellent swimmers. 

As of 2018, the diamondback terrapin is listed as Vulnerable. In the early 1900s, diamondbacks were a popular gourmet food. Unregulated harvesting and development of their coastal habitat has put them at risk. Organizations such as the Wetlands Institute and Project Terrapin are working to conserve the terrapins by collecting eggs and rehabilitating injured turtles!

First car repairs and now pc repairs. I should have my pc back up and running in a day, but it's been costly.
