Announcing Junetoon 2019!

Hey everyone! I’m happy to share that I will be partaking in this year’s Junetoon challenge!

The rules are simple: Every day, you create art of a favorite childhood cartoon character that corresponds with the day’s prompt. You then post the art to social media (the official Junetoon page highly suggests Instagram but I’m sure you can post other places as well). The next day... you do it all again! Easy as pie!

I learned about Junetoon a little too late last year (and created the July Toon Spectacular out of it), so this time I intend to follow along throughout the month. Like with the July Toon Spectacular, I’ll draw one picture of some of my favorite characters WITH TRADITIONAL MEDIA throughout the month and post them (this year to both Instagram AND Tumblr). I’ll also include a little story as to why I chose the character I did for that day’s prompt. No repeats of programming!

My definitions of key factors in this process are somewhat flexible. I’ll be including both TV and movie characters, animated and live action, and feature franchises that I may still watch today (I just turned 20 so I am definitely not a child anymore).
