The colour saturation in this show is gorgeous. It really does highlight the fashion and decor. Another slow-ish episode but I liked the character moments enough that I didn't mind as much as last week. Did they film the NASA scenes on the FAM set? It looked like their lobby area and those coveralls looked the same too.

England, 1705: Nell Jackson's supernatural fighting skills stir up trouble on her return from war.

Having not seen the trailer I was not prepared for her not to be Irish. Why do English supernatural dramas cast Irish leads only to cover up their beautifully melodic accents? I do love her energy and style though. And I wish I had a fairy Nick Mohammed to give me superpowers when needed, or just for company.

The Patient (with mum) 1x07 Kaddish

Both Dr. Strauss and Sam try to make new connections in their pursuit of an elusive peace.

He isn't being persecuted for being Jewish so I didn't really understand him making a holocaust connection. Maybe hinting that his bafflement at his son's ego is because he fails to recognize those self-important tendancies in himself.

Moving (with L) Ep 17 Awakening

Junhwa attacks Huisoo, and Bongseok awakens his powers to save her.

It's all coming together and kicking off!! All the adults fighting to protect the kids, but they might be the ones that need help. The score and editing added greatly to the effectiveness of the brewing danger. I'm excited and a little scared. Can't wait to see how it ends. *sending positive vibes*

Kdrama <MOVING>: Korean heros with Jeong

Recentely, I've finished watching <Moving>, the Kdrama. It shows something different from normal Western hero contents, and has many relatable things for Koreans including me. Best point was every character has their own back-story.

‼️SPOILERS WARNING ‼️

Korean word 'Jeong' is translated to affection, but it's more than affection. It's very comprehensive meaning, calling attachment between neighbors, family, friends, ethnic group and so on. It can be Jeong between neighbors that Bongseok worries the absence of Gyedo and Gyedo changes his bus-course for the students who have said hello to him, even if they haven't swapped phone numbers. Even the short conversation between Lim Jaeseok and Kim Dosik in a prison also can create a bit of Jeong. I can't tell or describe all Jeong in . There were a lot.

And it shows how Korean -and most Asian- parents and children are. I've seen some memes telling Asian parents are 'only' strict on SNS. Although I can't deny everthing about that 😅, but all parents are not. For example, Jang Juwon doesn't know how to cheer up his daughter but he is her strongest supporter, and Hui-su realizes he is by lines of Bongseok. Mihyeon fetters Bongsik with weights because she worries him, maybe unconsiously wants him to stay with her, not letting him set on his feet. Kanghun doesn't talk with his father a lot, but he goes into fuxking NIS for his father, giving up his own future. These hidden inner loves are Korean familyship. And when these hidden love is discovered, it gives huge amount of sentiments.

By extension, Jeong and love expand to North Koreans. The reason that Jang Junhwa set Dusik free at the end is that Junhwa is a father like Dusik is. Ideological conflict between North and South is overcome by love for children. And thanks to Hui-su who didn't negelct a man's sadness and injury, Gwon Yongdeuk gets a job at Juwon's fried chicken restaurant and Hui-su calls him Samchon (uncle) in friendly.

In addition, I felt strong attachement when the Beongaeman (electric man) emerged. I'd watched Beongaeman during my childhood every morning! Jeon Gyedo got fired as Beongaeman, but later he became a real electric heros, saving Bongseok who has growed up watching him. Impressing.

Not perfect, but he made it! Didn’t almost die on the quad toe, we love it, and the majority of the other jumps were clean and beautiful (welcome back perfect quad Sal, we missed you)

And he performed it! That choreographic sequence felt so momentous and cool, I sound a little crazy, but The Batman is such a cool music choice (the Junhwa Bauer aaaaaaa, I wish he had more time for it in this program)

Bronze medal for my boy! (And gold for Yuma, of course, and silver for Shun, wow they maintained the exact same placement as the short program all the way to 5th place)

Maxine tries to unearth information that could upend her marriage; Linda and the Women's Circle grapple with threats to Palm Beach's social order.

This could've been a 15 min episode tbh. Not bad, just a little meandering. It didn't really build upon the tension that has been brewing and instead was just rich people being petty. Hopefully just a bump in the road. Kristen is undoubtedly the highlight.

In the 'prevously' she was worth $87 billion. In this, she stated her worth at $120 billion. Shouldn't she be paying all of her taxes now? How is it possible with all her 'philanhropy' to gain $33 billion dollars in a year?? Anyhoo, the initiative to repurpose unused hotels as accommodation for unhoused people is a solid plan. So why don't politicians and local governments do it irl? They did temporarily during covid, right? Why not continue it permanently.

Mihyun and Juwon watch the auditorium video and head to Jeongwon High, while Gyedo discovers Junhwa.

The kids are back but they are far from alright. Are all of the teachers hidden agents? The most senior one seemed half decent so hopefully he will help protect them. And I thought the american tracker had killed the bus driver? but i must've misremembered?? Felt like a two-parter and we didn't have time to watch the next one :(

uhm hey. this is cherry!! i’m so excited to rp with you guys. this rp came at the perfect time because i was watching drama shamelessly and just finished remarriage and desire and i really wanted a character kind of based off the drama but not really?? jiyeon here takes bits of a bunch of different plots that go on in the show. i def recommend it since its only 8 episodes BUT ANYWAY, i’ll put some links down there to peruse and put some stuff about jiyeon under the cut. i can’t wait to plot and write with you all!!

oldest child born to cha junhwa and choi aeran. 

 parents were an arranged marriage. aeran learned to love junhwa but he was always cheating on her and treating her poorly. despite this, she remained the perfect "trophy wife", doing whatever she needed to do to care for and protect her family, even lying. 

 her dad created a cyber security firm called soteria that has contracts with the korean government, as well as samsung and hyundai. while a good deal of his fortune was obtained through hard work, most of it in the last ten years has been through nefarious means, whether that be on stepping on the necks of smaller businesses, market manipulation, unfair contracts, etc. 

anyway about jiyeon. she did first and secondary school at private international schools in korea and then was at st paul's boarding school in new hampshire from grades 9-12. 

came back to korea to be with her family and do nothing honestly. she has the marks and intelligence to go to school for whatever she wanted but just….didn't want to?? she had spent so many years toiling away to make amazing marks and doesn't want to keep doing it, especially if her dad is going to bully her into a field she doesn't like. 

in 2021, her mother found out just how shady junhwa was and how many lives he ruined just for money and couldn't take it anymore. jiyeon found her mother's body after she didn't answer her phone. 

it's affected jiyeon a lot and she's still not doing well. 

girlie is naive and kind and her mother's suicide has made it so she wants to fix everyone and everything. 

she has major control issues now. 

miss jiyeon can seem very flighty and ditzy but it's because she doesn't want to burden anyone with her emotions and issues. 

she is a very dedicated dog mom.

she is || this close to losing her shit.

 I'm probably forgetting a lot but this is basically her backstory so far.
