The Titanfall verse is conceptually derivative but SO artistically appealing and flexible. It's very much like a concept artist's game. Usually with spacefaring sci fi my experience is that they tend to go for the least interesting of a cluster of concept sketches (cough bioware) but TF's art direction is consistently clean, rarely over- or under-designed and never feels like it misses an opportunity. Hits a really gorgeous balance between bulky junkcore and sleek future military aesthetics. It's all tied together by some cleanest, coolest and sexiest character animation in the industry.
