🌋 one thing you wish you could be doing right now?

Probably gaming and writing, especially writing - because I have so much stuff in the drafts (and in my Google docs...) that I would love to put out but it makes my nerves jittery, I guess. The amount of stuff I have yet to write is just sitting there, collecting dust for real. I have some poems that probably will never see the light of day in addition to some of the things in my Tumblr drafts - even some of my selfship writing. They're all just there to be there until I either decide to pick them back up or forest them for good. I would love to expand on some of the things I've written, give out a sneak peek of what I'm working on, or maybe do some rewrites...maybe.

🤳 what does your url mean?

Well, when I was on a lovely site called FanFiction (yes, i'm on there (still) with this same user but spaced out but my page is pretty much quiet (and dead) ATM) and I was changing names for like the third time (1st time, I was into Rozen Maiden; 2nd time was when I was into Black Butler) and I put in my current url, got noticed by a now long time friend of mine because he was a Danganronpa fan (at the time, I think it was the closest thing I could think of...because my favorite character was Junko Enoshima at that time) and I've stuck with the name for a long time.

my username is a combo of things i was heavily interested in circa 2013/2014 when i started using this url: junko enoshima (the dangan ronpa character) and marina and the diamonds (the musical artist)

a long time ago my icon used to be junko with the heart on her cheek and i think the reference was clearer then sjsjsj also i used to primarily post about dangan ronpa which i don’t that much nowadays

My opinion on:

- character in general: Makoto Naegi is an unwavering beacon of hope and optimism. The only person capable of leading the demise (and her much-loved despair) of Junko Enoshima. Let’s face it: Danganronpa wouldn’t exist nor be what it is without Naegi’s part of the story. That said, Sonia isn’t sure what to think of him right now because so far, we’ve only interacted in a post-Neo World Program verse and her own sense of hope has been severely shaken by the virtual killing game and her part as a Remnant of Despair. So while I, as the mun, know that Makoto’s belief in her and her friends is pretty much the only thing that kept them alive, Sonia looks at him, and the world, with a bit more skepticism and hesitation. He’s trying to help her find her place in the world (or at least accept the best possible course of action to start atoning for her many sins), but she finds it hard to trust in that. 

I wonder if in a non-Despair verse they’d be rays of sunshine together, though? Enough to get on the nerves of more cynical students? Regardless, I think Nagito Komaeda would be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of beauty and hope these two would radiate. Just look at the end of DR3: Hope when the former Remnants are leaving. One of the best parts of the episode for me. 

- how they play them: Kay does such a beautiful job of tapping into Makoto’s thoughts and values! I love how each reply has a quote of some sort that sets the tone of the rest of the reply going forward. I’ve written this blog for over two years now and until we started writing, I never really had any threads going with a Makoto and I’ve always wanted to develop interactions between them. I especially love our dancing thread as both Sonia and Makoto are sharing their skills with one another and learning from each other.

- the mun: We haven’t chatted or plotted too much but from what we’ve done so far, Kay has been nothing but kind, patient, and eager to write! I don’t know them too much OOC right now but I’d like to change that if they want to plot or just chat about fandom stuff (or anything else).

Do I:

- follow them: I do!

- rp with them: We have several threads going on in a post-Neo World Program verse, some of which tie in with others.

- want to rp with them: Yes, of course! I actually feel a bit bad that Makoto has only met angsty!Sonia thus far, so he hasn’t had the overbearing cheerfulness and interest in Japanese culture and horror movies to deal with. Maybe we should do a Non-Despair verse, in school or post school? Or both? Let me know if that interests you and we can plot something!

- ship their character with mine: You know, I’ve never really considered shipping Makoto and Sonia romantically until now but I’m not opposed to it if that’s where interactions end up going. I think if that’s something Kay’s interested in building towards and writing it could be a lot of fun to develop. And of course, depending on the verse, their reasoning and time it takes to realize feelings for one another might be very different. But regardless, I’m happy to write platonic friendships with Makoto and Sonia too.

What is my:

- overall opinion: A beautiful writer and a kind person, I’m so glad we started threading together! Kay’s Makoto is so thoughtfully portrayed and each reply is a joy to read and interact with. I’m eager to write more with Makoto and Sonia, and their adventures!
