Aaaaaah, this one was so fun to draw, guys! The colors, the shapes, the body horror… It’s a welcome reprieve from the burnout struggle of previous ones. It’s also fueling my headcanons about Dedede repressing his traumas with unhealthy regularity.

Zombie (Leroy) is shuffling around in the front yard, doing zombie things.

Toon Link: BJ, isn’t that a zombie?

Bowser Jr: Yeah.

Dramatic scene change!

The two boys are in their bunker, now with General Dedede and First Lieutenant Leaf Green.

General Dedede: Now listen here, we got ourselves a zombie situation. Apparently, a zombie is over here roaming in sunlight, and not getting burnt! He’s clearly stronger than any other zombies we’ve seen! I need ideas and I need them now!

Lieutenant Green: Dedede, I may have a plan!

General Dedede: Yes!

Lieutenant Green: Considering that it’s only one zombie, yet it has boss level strength and could very well have average intelligence, there’s only one clear solution.

Lieutenant Green: We hit it a bunch of times really hard.

General Dedede: My goodness. It’s so damn risky it just might work! We have our plan! Second Lieutenant Toon, go get Lip’s Stick! Private BJ, get the Piranha Plants! Leaf, ready your Ivysaur! We only have one shot at this!

It was the stage of the battle ground. The four were standing ready, seeing Leroy the zombie shuffle towards them. A zombie out in daylight is no laughing matter, especially in Minecraft standards. A bunch could spell trouble. This zombie had to be stopped here and now.

Toon Link: Junior, if I don’t make it back, I need you to tell Vill something.

Bowser Jr: Anything bro.

Toon Link: …I actually did think he was cute in that cat hoodie.

Bowser Jr: Rad.

General Dedede: Fire!

All at once, the battle began. Bullet Seed, and army of Piranha Plants, Lip’s Stick being thrown, and more! All were being launched at no expense to stop this zombie. The land around them was getting completely decimated. The zombie, despite the heavy onslaught of damage, remained upright.

Bowser Jr: Keep firing!

???: Hey!

Poof!

Suddenly, the dramatic filter on this imaginary battle was removed as the five of them all stopped and looked at the origin of the voice.

Daisy, a calm rage: I come here every Tuesday to water my petunia’s. And what do I find when I clearly say never ruin my petunia’s?

King Dedede: U-Um, Daisy, we can explain!  The kids and I…we were only playing! Tell her guys!

Leaf: (Already booked it)

BJ and Toon: (Bailed)

Leroy: (Zombie shuffles away)

Daisy, slowly approaching: Do you know what happens to people who ruin my flowers? 

King Dedede: …You have mercy on them?

Daisy, evil smile and takes out her golf club: NOPE.
