I just realized, out of all the superhero or villain au’s I’ve seen for hermitcraft, none of them have Mumbo being a hero/villain. And I am now very curious to know what that would be like

And, I doubt anyone would know he’s a hero/villain, but I feel like he wouldn’t be good at keeping it a secret either. Like I feel like the only thing keeping his friends and anyone else who knows him from finding out, is his personality

‘Surly, surly, Mumbo kills a lot Jumbo wouldn’t be capable of fighting. Gosh I mean, that’s just ridiculous. Pft common, no way Mumbo is the hero/villain, [name]. Like let’s be real for a moment’

And Mumbo is standing in the corner sweating profusely and blaming it on his outfit being too hot for the weather (no matter what outfit he has)

And then at night he just summons purple/pink floating magic square bombs that glow. And uses them well. Very well in fact, but he would never admit it and there’s no one to tell him how good he is with those square bombs. And even if there were he’d just blush and be like ‘naah, I can think of so many people who could do it better than me, really.’

thinking about how edyn was described as having an identical face to gill and chip found it attractive. thinking about chip using gills inspiration before they even met meaning that they were connected to eachother in some way. thinking about "chip you take 38 psychic damage as you realise what you are". thinking about how chip being instantly attracted to any woman ge meets might be for show (comp het or smth i never read any dialogue on destiny islands) thinking about how the nat 20s in the nat 20 kiss were for how genuine the kiss was. thinking about just how much they care about eachother. that only gillion was able to put chip back on the path to being a pirate and pull him outta his funk. thinking about the fact that chip was more concerned about gill's safety around felipe than jay or gillion himself was.

Every day I have to contend with how Soriku fandom just spoils me with in depth analysis about the series itself as much as it spoils me with analysis of characters and the ship

Reading stuff like necklace theory, "riku is the light", the sleeping realms theory, and just fan analysis and translations of the original jp version of kh changed my life man

it's not like i think i'm above advice for people starting out with stuff it's more like i want to know why that advice exists so i can determine if it even aligns with what i'm setting out to achieve because like

'don't do silent streams because you'll never get big/popular/make money' falls flat because that's not why i'm streaming but things like

'hey don't start off a new thing by yeeting yourself into Your Specialest Big Idea because you will probably get overwhelmed and discouraged' is useful, because that's something i do have a very real problem with

the problem is, the advice is usually packaged as stuff like 'you HAVE to talk in your streams' or 'you CANNOT start with your Big, Cherished Idea' and that approach is deeply useless for us Freaks With Different Priorities and just makes us go 'well fuck you, watch me'

and then maybe it all goes tits up and the first person just goes 'see? why didn't you listen?'

and then maybe you try to follow the advice that actually doesn't serve you because you're afraid to step out of line again and end up stifled

Ok legit though, I've always liked morph but not that I'm in my mid 30s and have unearthed my genderfluidity since originally watching the X-men animated series, Morph hits so different now that I'm rewatching and especially in '97. And you know what? I'm here for it.

Morph is a nonbinary icon and have quickly propelled themselves to one of my fav X-men.

I've noticed that this is the second promotional/concept art with Peanut and water

Water evokes both birth and death ("That's what the water gave me" as in water gives us life but can also take it away / "Water of the Womb")

fitting with the overarching theme of death and rebirth of the game!

On the song by florence + the machine:

the irony of water which gives life now taking your life away (apparently a reference to Virginia Woolf's death by drowning)

The painting is Ophelia by John Everett Millais. It depicts the character Ophelia's death in the Shakespeare play Hamlet. The way his hands are placed outwards seem similar. Maybe that's deliberate? I've literally never read hamlet so I can't draw any connections here. If you've read/seen hamlet, please let us know your thoughts. (btw you have a very big brain)
