This is hands down the best shot from the edits I did yesterday. Sure, it’s not the most flattering photo of myself but it makes me laugh so hard every time I see it. Let me explain…so the guitar I’m using is Dustin’s #gibson 335 with a sweet #evertune / @evertune upgrade. This guitar is something special. Every time I use it for a session I tell @dustinbennettproducer I’m going to take it home with me one day. The photo not only looks like Dustin has a velvet painting of himself in the studio but also reminds me that he watches me like a hawk when I use it lol. Totally kidding. @mtthwjb took this shot while I was tracking ideas for the ending of the new track “Tell Me Something Great”. I can’t wait to show you guys what we are working on. But if the mcelroys are in the bnha verse then they would need to have quirks right? And what quirks would work best for our favorite disembodied boi-ces? Voice quirks, coming from Clint of course! Griffin can make background music/sound effects while he speaks, Justin can emulate other voices real good (but still with justinyness) or maybe throw his voice and trav kinda has an empathy effect maybe?

When you mentioned the boys having to have quirks, my mind temporarily went to hell but–those are actually really good? And accurate. Anon, I think you just peered through the veil and looked into a universe where the boys have actual powers

I made this slide while editing today. Most likely it will get changed up, but for now I wanted to see everyone together in one big shot. I’m thrilled to announce that the tracking process is 99.9% complete! YAHOO! 🐵 Over the past few weeks @dustinbennettproducer has been working overtime to get everything to a good place before I leave town. Truthfully I feel like a zombie right now, I don’t know how this guy works non stop. He is a machine! The work flow this entire process has been steady and productive. It’s been a few weeks but truly it only feels like a few hours have gone by. The process tends to mess with your perception of time, but also working with someone you like makes the time fly by. Just a few things to review before we can move onto the next phase. Things are sounding really cool so far. We also made some last minute additions that I think you guys are really going to like. Everyday these songs are coming together more and more. Working on the finishing touches for the Bass. It feels like the days are bleeding together. Work, sleep, work, sleep…this has been the schedule for a few weeks now. Despite feeling like a zombie sometimes, I’m having a blast with @dustinbennettproducer. I knew I missed being at the studio working with Dustin, but until I returned I didn’t realize how much I miss this place and my friend. So far…things are sounding great! We are tracking some cool ideas, testing my vocal range, and much more. Here is the ever patient and amazingly talented @dustinbennettproducer in his natural habit. We watch as he brings life back into his bones via stretching while he is contemplating what is the best way to make my bass playing less aggressive. I’m not sure what I did to find such a good teammate, but hot damn every time I work in this room with Dustin it’s an absolute delight. As most musicians know it’s rare to find the right “people”. Finding the right band mates, producer, manager, etc. When you find a good one, hold on tight! I’m very blessed to have crossed paths with Dustin. This weekend / Monday Dustin will be an editing mad man in hopes of having some fun stuff to review on Tuesday when we pick things back up via Bass for song #2. This weekend I spent all my time with my nieces and nephew. Update! Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of updates the past few days. I’m thrilled to say that we have been working non stop the past few days. @dustinbennettproducer is kicking my butt! I’m happy to say that my body is holding up and so far I’ve been able to tackle almost every task we have done. As of right now all acoustic tracking and main vocals are done! We have a bunch more work to do the next few days. Time is flying by this week, I’m trying my best to take it all in while I’m here. I have to get to some rest now, we have an early start tomorrow. The “Tell Me Something Great” adventure Day #3: So last night was pretty interesting. In the photo you can see a @dewalttough portable battery. I got this as a gift recently and was so happy to have it on the trip. The device offered an air pump, jumper cables, USB ports, and more. I’ve used it a few times since I acquired it and never had any issues. Last night was the first night I needed to use it on this trip. I turned it on, and a high pitch noise happened, and then it started smoking inside my vehicle. I ran outside to the other door to grab it and it started to pop while it was in my hands. I ran with it about 50ft away from the car, set it down (while popping and smoking), and ran away from it. Luckily it stopped smoking. My brother and I watched to see if it would actually explode. It didn’t. While calling the person who gifted it to me to check the warranty, return policy, investment cost and more, I kid you not someone walked by and stole it. It was not more than 50ft from us. I was on the phone and my brother was in the vehicle so we didn’t see who stole it, yet I do remember seeing two couples walking there dog near us. On the one hand I was a bit took back that someone stole it literally right under our noses. I would have like to try to return it since it wasn’t cheap.
