It’s a newbie-friendly audio quest where I narrate and musically score the genre-spanning series' greatest hits in nonchronological, song-length bites. Every one begins with a mini-cover of a relevant song (Crazy Train for “Blaine & Wastes,” La Vie en Rose for “Jake & Rose,” Separate Ways/Worlds Apart for “Eddie & Sky Carriage,” etc) and then either an original composition for the duration, or reworked covers of existing songs (one is a montage of Sabbath riffs and I love it—but I love them all, to death).

I am sending the original ka-tet to New York City instead of making them deal with the fall of gilead! They have suffered enough! I think they should get to be friends with the NINJA TURTLES

Some notes:

I haven’t decided if Susan lived/came with. On the one hand Susan dying is a key aspect of Roland’s (and Bert’s and Alain’s) fucked up backstory. On the other hand I feel like Susan would be fucking hilarious around April and Casey. Actually Fuckin…. Aileen Ritter and Alain’s sister Claire should also get to come, 1 because Tommy needs his lesbian girlfriends 2 the Susan/Aileen/Claire/April/Sunita/Casey Girls Night would leave no survivors

I feel like Bert and Alain would adapt the easiest to this situation, then Jamie and Tommy, and then trailing a distant last place is Roland… however Tommy would like immediately adapt to technology and hidden city mystic stuff it’s just that he can’t order anything at McDonald’s bc it’s too much pressure

I’ve covered this before in a tdt/tma fic but the only reason anybody can understand spoken or written English is because of Roland’s presence extending Protagonist Plot Comprehension to his party so I’m considering whether a post-Mejis Roland who did NOT receive his quest for the tower (if Susan is alive) also has Main Character Powers and if not gosh I do love “a bunch of people having to live together in close quarters and don’t understand one another until someone makes a breakthrough”

I think objectively the funniest time for them to get drawn out of castle gilead and into New York is literally the first episode but anytime Leo fucks up a portal would be good too tbh

I got the inspiration for a prompt (in Italian, but it'll be translated at one point, I promise) for a top gun/dark tower au.

So, summarizing it very quick and all here now...

Ron belongs to the Mid-world, a Gunslinger (the Gunslinger. Roland. Or maybe he simply shares the name. I actually grew fond of Roland being his name anyway and he forsake it so...) toward to Tower, lost, dying. (Shamelessly taking the bits from the drawing of the three, yes, but in my defense it was only supposed to be a small prompt. I'll probably change details later on)

Enter Pete Mitchell, Maverick. Dying, or so he thought, in his world and ending up in the Mid-world in time to save Ron. He travels with him, fights with him. Falls desperately I'm love and is loved back. And then he dies for him. Gets pulled back in his world, where he only was in a coma for.a week, while he traveled for.much longer, but time flows differently.

Ron is lost. Ron is dying, again. Ron without his ka-tet can't fulfill his purpose.

He falls through doors amd worlds until he ends and get stuck in the one Pete was from. And at one point finds him again. While finding the missing bits.

So...just a slimav, the dark tower au!
