Lmaooo, I wish I had something good for this.

I don't know if it's really niche in a satisfying way, but it is certainly niche in a would-anyone-else-bother-themselves-thinking-about-this sort of way? 🥸 Here’s my most recent draft (that isn’t just a note to myself):

All just because a couple of weeks ago, I was reading this book of letters/correspondence between two Cambridge Apostles from around 1910 to 1915. Of course, the Apostles weren’t exactly a frat, so much as a secretive intellectual society, but as with most things, even the tiniest incidentals mentioned in (nearly any) text (or letters, in this case) will immediately return me to splitting Montgomery hairs, so basically I was (am, really) just over here fixating on the possible origins of the (quite fictional lol) Lamba Theta of Redmond.

To begin with, I’m 99% certain that it ought to actually be Lambda Theta* (lambda [λ] is the eleventh letter in the Greek alphabet), since Lamba doesn’t appear anywhere in the Greek dictionary, never mind the alphabet. That kind of small error was enough to launch me properly down a rabbit hole of Victorian (and then Edwardian) frats at Dalhousie University (Redmond’s basis), to see if there were any similarly named that might’ve presented itself as serving for Maud’s basis for the Lambs. As it turned out, there’s nothing. 🙃 The very first frat established at Dalhousie was Phi Kappa Pi, and that wasn’t until 1923... when LMM had attended some three decades earlier, back in 1895. Anne of the Island even predates frats meeting at DU, since it was first published in 1915.

For some scale, the first Canadian frat ever was est. in 1879 (Zeta Psi) at the University of Toronto, and then again in 1883, the same frat opened another chapter over at McGill.

Anyway, I guess was/is just interesting to me that when Maud was inventing up a whole fraternity for her alma mater’s fictional stand-in, she really wouldn’t have had any first-hand experience with one. 🤨 And yet… she understood enough of them to’ve had Gilbert rush/be initiated (with sun-bonnets and calico aprons), in order to become a fully pledged member. Google says that fraternities as we know them now didn’t become notable or popular in the States (which Canada was rather behind) until the mid-late 19th century. Sooo, I suppose Lamba Theta is attributable to just that (a thing of cute pop-culture), or else Zeta Psi at UT was infamous enough for word to get around, to even the more rural areas (there’s 1,801.7 km between UT and Dalhousie btw), about their proceedings.

*the first real Lambda Theta frat/sorority was founded in 1973, at Kean University, and it is a Latino/Latina fraternity; their colours are burgundy and grey - actually quite alike the colours of Redmond University

Natural Male Heirarchy is often confused with other philosophical paradigms and has been misrepresented by many who either misunderstand it, purposefully use and bastardize it for their own political ends and those who benefit financially from it.

If anyone says a lot of things that make sense but starts slipping in off-topic suggestions and false facts, keep in mind, that's exactly the kind of shit the Nazis pulled to manipulate people into their politics. It's disgusting.

If anyone says Natural Heirarchy intrinsically involves exchanging money for imagery, sexual gratification or feelings of submission, they are wrong. In a nutshell, that's a form of prostitution and/or scamming. The vapid use of Natural Male Heirarchy as a way to manipulate people out of money is foul and unnatural.

Actual Heirandroism involves more than webcams and photos. It's a personal present interaction which involves kinesics, pheromones, biofield impressions, subtle tonal, facial and kinesthetic communication and instinctive responses and impulses that would occur anywhere, not just when you're in the mood or in the bedroom.

It seems like it's time for a change.

My suggestion is adopting a new identifying title.

Heirandroism is by definition the collective term for Heirandrology, Heirandrosophy & Heirandrolatry - the study, philosophy and spirituality of Natural Heirarchy Among Males.

Heirandroism (or just 'Androism') is a paradigm, a way of viewing oneself, others, nature, reality, psychology, spirituality and the world around us & our place in it.

Natural Male Heirarchy has many individual and personal interpretations and expectations. That's okay. But staying true to the core philosophical principles is important.

Deviating from the actual meaning of Natural Male Heirarchy is fine, but call it like it is.

If it's a sexual fantasy and not a way of life, say that. If it's a venue for dishonesty, fuck you.

And if it's real to you, be proud and learn about it instead of relying on social media to gradually shape your conceptualizations about it.

Greek doesn't have the letter h, so when words start with a vowel, there is an accent to show either smooth breathing or rough breathing.

when iota follows a long alpha, eta or omega, then it is written in miniature form underneath. This is called iota subscript

Present tense:

The 3rd person plural form has a moveable nu at the end. This means that when the word after the verb starts with a vowel or if the verb is at the end of the sentence, then it has a nu at the end. If not, the ending is just ουσι.

In greek, a nouns ending reflects its role in the sentence, or its case.

There are 4 cases in greek

nominative - the subject

Accusative - the object (also used for expressing time, and certain prepositions)

Genitive - possession and some prepositions

Dative - to or for and also for some prepositions

SDAU, The Right Stuff, Chapter 1

“Hey, it’s okay…you don’t need that stupid sorority anyways,” Lance offered, trying to comfort his girlfriend, Regina.  But she only shrugged off the gymnast as he tried to hold her, “baby, come on…I-“

“Lance, I’ve been working so hard to accomplish this!” she growled, glaring at her partner, “all I wanted was to be part of the alpha sigma alphas, but they have all these stupid rules.”

“But you did so well up unt-“

“I didn’t even make it to the Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Chi Rho mixer!” she hissed, shooting him another glare.

Lance paled, “i-isn’t that famous for being an all out orgy between the two houses?”

She rolled her eyes at him, barely paying him any attention, “that’s just rumor.  They play a fun little game and sometimes-sometimes they hook up.”

“Bu-but you’re my alpha.  And that wouldn’t have made me feel too great to know that my girlfriend was out wit-“

“God you’re so needy,” she growled, pushing him away, “why can’t you just-I don’t know…be a little more of a man sometimes?”

“I am a man!”

“Yeah, yeah, I know,” she groaned, “you never cease to remind me of that fact when you’re in heat and you’re oversensitive…or when I have my rut and you can’t keep up.  You know, it’s your fault that I couldn’t even make it to the mixer.  If you didn’t have your stupid heat three months ago then I would have been able to make it to the sorority house.”

“I-I’m sorry, Regina!” Lance frowned; his scent turning bitter. 

Regina scowled at her boyfriend, “don’t be pathetic, Lance.  I’m your girlfriend, and that’s not going to change anytime soon.  Not unless I find an omega better than you.  But I don’t even have time to do that.  Between the summer courses an-“

“I could talk to Maria,” he offered, cutting her off, “see about getting you into Kappa Phi Lambda.  They’re our sister sorority.”

“A kappa,” she groaned, “they’re all about sisterhood and service…I bet their volunteer hours are crazy.”

He shrugged, “I mean…not really.  Usually we do one joint volunteer activity a quarter with them, and then they do a certain amount of hours a month.  I think it’s only like ten…”

Her brow raised, “really?”

He nodded, “ye-yeah…and Wanda is really great about being flexible with it too.  She’s studying to be a social worker, and has a lot of easy ins so you can get around application processes and wait times.”

“Yeah,” she said thoughtfully, agreeing to what her boyfriend was saying, “maybe it wouldn’t be so bad.  I mean, the kappa’s are the more ‘serious’ group.  The Alphas just do a lot of volunteering to hide their excessive partying…”

“See,” Lance smiled, holding his arms out to his girlfriend, “it’s a great change.  And your sorority will be a lot closer to my fraternity.  And we could spend a lot of time together so-“

“I get it Lance,” she said quickly, cutting him off.  The older omega frowned, his scent souring a little bit more.  Regina walked up to him and stroked his cheek, “sweetie, if you can’t get better at controlling your emotions you’re going to have to wear a scent blocking patch…you’re all over the place.”

Lance’s frown deepened, “I’m sorry…I’m just…I am really close to my heat again…it’s these new supplements my coach gave me-“

“I don’t care about the excuses,” she answered, stopping her boyfriend’s explanation.  She took a few steps back from him and looked over his shoulder towards his bed, “make a nest for us, omega…and I’ll take care of you, just like I always do…”
