Desde el momento en que nacemos, el sonido resuena a través de nuestros huesos, haciendo eco en nuestros tímpanos y zumbando dentro de nuestros cerebros.

Coches acelerando, gente charlando, música, perros ladrando, máquinas de café chirriando, cortacéspedes rugiendo, cajas registradoras pitando, teléfonos sonando, cubiertos traqueteando, sirenas aullando...
.
Sin embargo, en el momento en que coloco mis auriculares, soy transportado al mundo del silencio.

Mi cuerpo exhala, mi frente se suaviza y mis manos se relajan.
.
Envuelvo mis brazos alrededor del silencio en pura gratitud, y susurro: "¡GRACIAS!"
