I think she might have some sort of smoke gene, harder to see in pics but theres a gray layer under most of her black fur in the same places that smoke cats usually have and a tiny bit of gray is visible on her sides on the surface.

Her name is blaire but she only responds to kitten, tiny cat, katten or other variations

Phenotype: black shorthair with >50% white

I've seen black cats with fur that gets grayer towards the base like that before (including my own), but I'm not sure it's the smoke gene? If someone with more experience wants to chime in I'd love your input.

Breed: Likely random-bred

So, lately we found an old K3 cd from some advertising action (it’s the original Ster aan de hemel release). However, the back of the cd cover said that the Teleromeo videoclip was also included on the cd. However it didn’t work in the dvd player, but when I put the CD into the computer I found that it is a CD-ROM?!? However, I couldn’t play the video from the CD-ROM interface either, but I could eventually play it in another media player!

Anyway, the main point here is that the CD-ROM wasn’t very interesting apart from being very old (there are hyperlinks that still work!), but I did like the biography part:

82. We need some light

Oh shit waddup it is May. En het is laat, namelijk 22:37. En oh boy, vandaag was raar. Deze hele week heb ik me gewoon een beetje raar gevoeld. Ik belde mam vandaag, want ze was oma aan het leren te videobellen, en ik zei al dat ik een gevoel had dat de lockdown uiteindelijk... hoe zeg je het in het Nederlands? It’s taking its toll on me. It’s catching up on me. Dat gevoel.

Het is niet dat ik verveeld ben (we’ll get to that), maar het voelt gewoon leeg. Kristin zei gisteren ook al op Showmance dat het soms gewoon moeilijk is om te herinneren op welke dag je zit. Alles wordt één grote dag. Kristin heeft het net iets moeilijker, want ze zit in het opgepropte New York en ze woont tegenover een ziekenhuis. Ja... ze vindt het heel moeilijk om alle koelwagens op haar stoep te zien, wetende waarom ze er zijn. 

Deze hele week heb ik amper iets aan de uni gedaan, want behalve op die momenten dat ik de wijde wereld in ging, voelde ik me gewoon zo doelloos. Het is iets wat ik ook al met Jonathan had besproken toen ik het over Animal Crossing had. Het vooruitzicht is gewoon onduidelijk en als resultaat, laat je alles een beetje los.

Ik heb wel alles vandaag op een rijtje gezet, om tenminste nog iets van overzicht te hebben. B&T heeft geen examen meer, maar nu nog een extra werkstuk. Oh joy.

Dus nu heb ik:

Professionalisering, vak van de RU: professionele en persoonlijke portfolio met expeditie evaluaties

GLINT: tentamen (nog geen idee hoe)

B&T: twee werkstukken, één over de dood en de andere moet ik dus nog gaan bedenken

MC: een werkstuk, maar niemand weet wat er gedaan moet worden

Sociologie: een onderzoek over glee en twee geschreven evaluaties

Ik heb gewoon er een hekel aan dat Professionalisering er nog is. Het idee van dit vak is eigenlijk geweldig, maar de uitvoering is klote en de enige reden dat ik het wil halen is dat ik het niet nog een jaar over moet doen.

Oh, Merel stuurt me een nieuw Hayley Kiyoko nummer 👀👀👀. Ik zit weer naar P!ATD Faves te luisteren, maar ik weet wat ik dadelijk opzet.

Gelukkig zijn er allemaal nieuwe critters op Animal Crossing, dus ik heb weer iets te doen. Het grote May Day Event valt helaas tegen, maar c’est la vie. 

In de middag belde oma helemaal zelf. Oké, niet helemaal. Mam zei dat ze zou videobellen, maar na een uur zat ik nog steeds te wachten, dus mam heeft oma alles over de telefoon moeten uitleggen.

Uiteindelijk ging het en oma was vergeten waar ik was (Ljubljana) en ze vroeg naar mijn vakken en hoe nu les wordt gegeven. Arme oma snapt niets van deze digitalisering.

En toen... Hollywood. 

Hollywood is een nieuwe serie op Netflix en het is vandaag uitgekomen. Ik volgde het voor een paar maanden, want Darren Criss is co-producer en hij speelt ook een rol in de serie. Ik wist niet of ik het wilde kijken (mega veel seks... like... why... that is just unnecessary...), maar hey, quarantaine! Dus ik heb vandaag gewoon door alle 8 afleveringen geskipt. Ik vond het leuker dan verwacht en wow, misschien vertrouw ik Ryan Murphy weer eens.

Deze serie is een grote What If... serie over Hollywood in de jaren ‘40. Wat als Hollywood toen al diverse was? De personages uit deze serie zijn deels mensen die echt hebben bestaan en een rol speelden in Hollywood in de jaren ‘40 en totaal fictionele mensen. 

Wat als het hoofd van de filmstudio een joodse vrouw was? Wat als een script schrijver en de hoofdactrice zwart waren? Wat als een film over homoseksualiteit gemaakt kon worden? Wat als Anna May Wong (echt persoon) een nieuwe kans kreeg als een Chinese vrouw? 

Het was dus een best interessante serie en het was niet een utopische What If serie waar alles mega makkelijk gaat (op een moment worden de zwarte mensen bespuugd door blanke mensen die eisten dat films alleen voor blanken waren, “keep movies white” “black is immoral” en al die andere Trump-achtige slogans, so yea...)

De dude die Sheldon speelt in Big Bang Theory zat erin en boy, dat is een andere rol.

So yeah, als je nog iets wilt kijken in deze quarantaine, Hollywood is goed genoeg. Het komt niet op mijn Top 5 Netflix series lijst, maar het was wel oké.

En het heeft kijkwijzer 14 (iets waar ik mee oneens ben). Sinds wanneer is die 14 categorie er? Ik weet dat ze het van plan waren maar, huh, oké, hi.

En nu naar de reden dat dit blog post een titel heeft over licht. Het is eigenlijk de eerste zin van het nummer Light van de musical Next To Normal. Heh, die musical moet ik ook nog eens kijken.

Anyway.

Mijn lamp was kapot of op of dood of hoe je het ook wilt noemen. Ik was de hele dag grumpy wegens het donker. Mensen zijn zo fucking raar. We hebben licht nodig om ons goed te voelen, dus een hele dag donker vond ik maar niets.

En het is al zo donker wegens weinig natuurlijk daglicht. Deze kamer is geweldig, op dat deel na.

Het idee is dat deze katten rondkijken in verwarring, vandaar de gif. En de gif is gewoon schattig.

Toen ik mam videobelde in de avond, was ik ook zeer prikkelbaar en geïrriteerd. Ik heb ook een bureaulamp, maar dat geeft niet genoeg licht. Mam stelde voor om een peertje uit de keuken te halen en in mijn lamp te draaien, maar dan zouden we geen licht in de keuken hebben.

Pap had een idee: haal het uit een lege kamer. Eerst vond ik dat raar, want er zijn geen lege kamers, maar toen herinnerde ik Barbara’s kamer. Alweer moest pap hulpeloos vanuit Nederland toekijken hoe onhandig ik ben. Ik heb bijna medelijden met hem.

Dus na weer een onnodig lang moment, heb ik weer licht en OH LORD, ik voelde me meteen beter. Barbara komt toch niet terug en voorlopig komt er ook niemand nieuw in de kamer, dus het is niet erg.

Dus dat is de eerste dag van mei. Huh, wat een rare dag. Zelfs de jaarlijkse “it’s gonna be mAY!!!” memes zijn dit jaar zeer triest.

I am fascinated by the human body, especially when the body is not perfect but affected by disease or old age. Discarded from narrative meanings, I am interested in the beauty of the seemingly unnatural colors and the whimsical shapes. By drawing the contrast between an affected body and a healthy body, my view on the meaning of disease, life and death is more open, more precise and broader. The fact that a work on such an unpleasant and in a way inaccessable subject can be really beautiful, causes a tension between the work and the viewer. A tension between attracting and pushing off. This is the thing that fascinates and also affects me. This is exactly the thing I am researching in my work; how can I, as a human, deal with the negative, morbide side of life? With illness, misfortune and death? And since I don't believe in a black- and white view on a life - meaning that there would be a bright side and a black side, either good or bad people - how does this interaction between the positive and the negative work? For when I can see beauty in a wound or uglyness in a perfect face, then aren't both sides always present?

 Ik ben Alisa Osinga. Ik woon en werk in Utrecht. In 2008 studeerde ik af aan het Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam met een serie sculpturen bestaande uit delen van het menselijke en dierlijke lichaam gemaakt van keramiek, schuimrubber en plastics. Ik maak nu sculpturen met een verhalend en figuratief karakter. Belangrijkste inspiratiebronnen voor mijn werk zijn anatomische modellen, vlees en de geneeskunde. Deze bronnen tonen voor mij de menselijke kwetsbaarheid en sterfelijkheid en onze pogingen om de bedreigende, morbide kant van het bestaan te bedwingen.

  Tentoonstelling: AAAAaargh!!! Alisa Osinga

 Een wit konijn, zittend op een boomstronk als op een troon. Met een weelderige bloemenzee op zijn rug, die over hem heen naar beneden golft. Maar.... Wat is er met hem vergroeid? Wat draagt hij met zich mee? De kleurrijke, rijk gedetailleerde keramische beelden van Alisa Osinga zetten je voortdurend op het verkeerde been. Je wordt als kijker een wereld ingezogen vol mooie kleuren en structuren, gulzig kijk je naar de rijke vormen en ornamenten en de uitdrukking in de ogen van de breekbare dieren. Maar dan is er die twist, wordt alles omgegooid. Is dit dier nu levend of dood? Gevangen of vrij? In welke situatie is dit dier in vredesnaam in beland? Is dat zijn hart daar tussen zijn benen? Groeit die mooie bloemenzee nu uit zijn rug??? AAAAaaargh!!!

        Wat is kunst voor haar?

 Een veel voorkomend motief in mijn werk is het dier.  Een dier staat voor mij voor instinct.  Voor direct handelen naar je inzicht op dat moment.  Voor directe emotie en gevoelens.  Het hier en nu.  Zonder (de menselijke, zware nadruk op) logica, rationeel nadenken,  gelijk hebben, verstandig zijn, moralisme. Ik gebruik het dier zoals in een fabel. Het dier maakt een ervaring/ verhaal mee  en leert ons iets over de menselijke natuur en over onze tekortkomingen. Het dier maakt het verhaal toegankelijker, geeft het onderwerp lucht.  Moeilijke verhalen of zware boodschappen worden hanteerbaar. Een dood dier in mijn werk is zelden echt levenloos.  Vaak is het nog behoorlijk aanwezig en bewust van zijn situatie.  Een ongrijpbaar zweven tussen leven en dood.  Dat een beeld dan mooi kan worden en echte schoonheid kan tonen  terwijl het onderwerp niet zo toegankelijk of werkelijk onplezierig is,  veroorzaakt een spanning tussen steeds weer worden aangetrokken  en dan weer worden afgestoten.  Dit fascineert en raakt me. Door het contrast te laten zien, krijg ik een opener en ruimere blik ​ op wat leven, ziekte en dood betekent.

 Hoe gaat ze te werk?

 Wanneer ik een werk maak voor iemand in het bijzonder (een opdrachtgever), dan begin ik altijd met een interview. Met een aantal vragen probeer ik erachter te komen wat de ander zou willen of van het werk verwacht. Wie ben je, waar loop je voor warm of wil je juist ver van blijven? Wat zijn voor jou belangrijke ideeën, gedachten of overtuigingen? Wat kan het beeld wat ik maak voor jou betekenen? Kun je er kracht uit putten, kan het je ergens aan herinneren, iets ... een gevoel oproepen? Voor Esther (haar zus) vormt haar liefde voor gamen (hoe bloederiger hoe beter ;-D Gears of War bijvoorbeeld) een heel scherp contrast met haar persoonlijkheid: een ontzettend lieve, open, sociale vrouw. En het imago van gamen (jeugdcultuur, jezelf afzonderen) steekt ook af tegen haar bloeiende carrière als (representatieve) communicatieadviseur met een voorliefde voor de perfecte outfit.   Deze contrasten maken haar juist zo interessant en compleet! Dit wilde ik in het werk verbeelden: zo, dit ben ik. En ik ben er trots op! Ik ben zowel een lief meisje als een game slachter. Ik ben lief maar heb ook grote kracht en dadendrang. (En ze houdt heel erg van katten) Naast de inhoud stel ik vragen om hele concrete voorwaarden op te stellen: in welke omgeving komt het werk te staan, liggen of hangen? Welke minimale en maximale afmetingen? Moet het ergens bij passen of tegen afsteken? En dan nog een laatste vraag om de smaak en voorkeuren in te kunnen schatten: Welke werken van mij spreken je het meest aan?

 BEST WEL INTERESSANT, ZO ZOUDEN WE OOK TE WERK KUNNEN GAAN MET HAAR PORTRET.

 WIE IS ALISA OSINGA?

 Alisa Osinga woont en werkt in Utrecht (en omgeving). Ze is in 2008 afgestudeerd aan het Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam als beeldend kunstenaar in keramiek (en kunststoffen). Ze is werkzaam als werkplaatsmeester bij St. Joost, Academie voor kunsten en heeft daarnaast ook haar eigen bedrijf waar ze eigen werk maakt voor onder andere exposities en werk maakt voor opdrachtgevers. Haar specialiteiten liggen in beeldhouwkunst in opdracht en onderwijs in keramische technieken en tekenen.

  HET WERK VAN ALISA OSINGA

 Alisa Osinga maakt sculpturen met een verhalend, figuratief karakter waarbij haar inspiratiebronnen anatomische modellen, vlees en geneeskunde zijn. Voor haar tonen deze bronnen een menselijke kwetsbaarheid en sterfelijkheid en al onze pogingen om de bedreigende, ‘afschuwelijke’ kant van het bestaan te bedwingen. Ze is gefascineerd door het menselijk lichaam, vooral wanneer het lichaam niet perfect is maar wanneer het wordt aangetast door ziekte of ouderdom. Door het contrast te trekken tussen een aangetast lichaam en een gezond lichaam, is haar kijk op de betekenis van ziekte, leven en dood meer open, preciezer en breder. Ze probeert met haar werken een spanning te veroorzaken tussen het werk en de kijker om op een mooie manier een onaangenaam en ontoegankelijk onderwerp te vertonen. Dit is wat haar fascineert en waar ze steeds naar zoekt in haar eigen werk.

 Tentoonstelling AAAARGH!!! Bezitten kleurrijke en rijk gedetailleerde keramische beelden die de kijker voortdurend op het verkeerde been zetten. Je kijkt naar rijke vormen en ornamenten die samen de uitdrukking in de ogen van breekbare dieren vormen. Dit alles met een twist, want je weet niet precies wat je ziet. Want, groeit die mooie bloemenzee nu uit zijn rug? AAARGH!

            WAT KUNST IS VOOR ALISA OSINGA

Vaak is het nog behoorlijk aanwezig en bewust van zijn situatie.  Een ongrijpbaar zweven tussen leven en dood.  Dat een beeld dan mooi kan worden en echte schoonheid kan tonen terwijl het onderwerp niet zo toegankelijk of werkelijk onplezierig is, veroorzaakt een spanning tussen steeds weer worden aangetrokken en dan weer worden afgestoten.  Dit fascineert en raakt me. Door het contrast te laten zien, krijg ik een opener en ruimere blik op wat leven, ziekte en dood betekent.

Hi there anon! Yes of course, I'll do my best to explain!

There's a lot here to talk about, so I'm posting this as two separate posts (one talking about den/de/dette/denne/disse and one talking about din/di/ditt/dine and sin/si/sitt/sine). The latter I just posted about here, so in this post I'll talk about den/de/dette/denne/disse.

These are called demonstrative pronouns or adjectives; in English, they are this (denne/dette), these (disse), that (den/det) and those (de).

Both denne and dette mean 'this'. The distinction is that 'denne' is used with masculine and feminine nouns, whereas dette is used with neuter or unspecified nouns.

Denne meldingen kan ikke sendes - This message cannot be sent

Denne boka er kjedelig - This book is boring

Jeg elsker dette språket! - I love this language!

Dette er unødvendig - This is unnecessary (here, no object has been specified, so we use the neuter form)

Be careful! If you're introducing a noun, you always use 'dette', regardless of the gender of the thing you’re introducing:

Disse means 'these', while 'de' means 'those'. Both these pronouns are used regardless of gender:

Both den and det mean 'that'. Similarly to denne/dette, 'den' is used with masculine and feminine nouns, whereas det is used with neuter or unspecified nouns:

Den jenta er penere enn meg - That girl is prettier than me

Jeg likte aldri det speilet - I never liked that mirror

Er det en gitar i bildet? - Is that a guitar in the picture? (Even though en gitar is masculine, it hasn’t been introduced yet, so we use det rather than den as it’s an unspecified noun)

They can also mean it. In this case, 'den' is only used if we've already introduced a masculine or feminine noun, and it's standing in its place. For all other situations, use 'det':

Jeg kjøpte en ny mobil i går, og jeg har allerede knust den! - I bought a new phone yesterday, and I’ve already broken it!

Vi liker huset, men det er altfor dyrt - We like the house, but it’s far too expensive

Den, det and de can also mean 'the', and are used when using adjectives with definite nouns (note: the definite form of the adjective is identical to the plural form. You also use the definite form when using dette/denne/disse too.)

En gammel mann (an old man) --> den gamle mannen (the/that old man)

Ei lang gate (a long street) --> den lange gata (the/that long street)

Et frekt barn (a rude child) --> det frekke barnet (the/that rude child)

Svarte hunder (black dogs) --> de svarte hundene (the/those black dogs)

Store hus (big houses) --> de store husene (the/those big houses)

Now, if you've been paying attention, you'll notice that all nouns modified by these demonstratives are also in the definite form. This is just a part of the grammar (called double definiteness, or ‘dobbel bestemt’ in Norwegian) and 99% of the time this is just how it is. The only time you don't use double definiteness is when talking about famous buildings or landmarks and such (for example, The White House is 'Det hvite hus', not 'det hvite huset', because the second one could be referring to any house that is white, whereas the first is referring to the specific building. Kinda like the difference between ‘the white house’ and ‘The White House’ in English). Don't worry about it too much for now, just be mindful of it as you get more advanced.

Assuming no redemptions of DFP public shares, the current equity holders of The Oncology Institute will collectively own 48%, Deerfield will own approximately 14%, other DFP stockholders (including other PIPE investors) will own 33%, and DFP’s sponsor will own 5% respectively of the approximately 106 million issued and outstanding shares of common stock of The Oncology Institute immediately following the closing.

DFP estimates that, assuming no redemptions of DFP shares, the Company will have an initial market capitalization of approximately $1.06 billion, with approximately $225 million of cash on the balance sheet and a strong growth trajectory. The Oncology Institute expects to use this capital to accelerate its de novo and acquisition-driven growth initiatives.
