kazuha values the comfort and well-being of the ones he loves. when it comes to hugging someone he cares about, he is gentle, patient, and attentive.

kazuha would start by approaching xiao slowly, making sure that he is comfortable with physical touch. he would be mindful of xiao's comfort and would adjust the hug as needed, taking cues from xiao's body language and response.

he would wrap his arms around him, pulling him into a warm embrace and resting his chin on his shoulder. his touch would be gentle yet firm.

as he holds xiao, kazuha might rub his back or run his fingers through his hair. he would listen attentively if xiao wanted to talk, but would also respect his privacy if he preferred to be quiet.

kazuha's hugs would be genuine and heartfelt, reflecting his deep feelings for xiao. he would make sure that xiao feels loved and cared for, and that the hug leaves him feeling better.

folks, let me take you on the little adventure I just had.

so Ghost’s US tour dates came out. the show in Providence, RI, at the Dunkin Donuts Center on September 12th, would be the closest to me. so I scroll down to check the presale tickets, right?

instead of being listed at the Dunkin Donuts Center, it simply says “Dunkin’, Centreville, VA”. ‘okay,’ I think. ‘maybe they just made a little mistake.’ I go to check the ticket site, and it says the same thing, this time with an address. it occurs to me to check said address (Dunkin’, 14631 Lee Hwy, Centreville, VA, 20121)

KAEYA trusts you a lot. After all, he doesn’t want you to think of him as a villain. He depends on you so much that he’s okay with revealing what’s underneath that eyepatch. At first, he hesitated to show it, but he finally admitted it with enough reassurance. He thought you’d leave him after knowing his true self, but to his surprise, you didn’t. You told him that you accept him for being that way and never would you ever leave his side, and the smile that came after those words made your day indeed.

Cuddles with DILUC are the best, especially in winter. His Pyro vision added more heat to his body, which is excellent (It could be a bother in summer, though). Why light up the fireplace when you have him? He’ll just hug you from behind and bury his face in your neck, the strands of his hair tickle you whenever he does, and you’ll feel warm in no time. Just know that he’s just one call away whenever you feel cold.

ALBEDO noticed you were a forgetful person because you would forget to bring a coat whenever you explored Dragonspine together, so he would always remind himself to get an extra one, just in case you forgot one. Bonus points if he sprays it with his cologne first before putting it on you.

XIAO tries to be more open to you. He was thankful for you being patient with a person who’s unknown to affection like him. He thought he was an idiot that you made the first move instead of him, but you assure him that it’s okay and that you understand that. You were more than glad that he started to be more open to you. Day by day, he was improving. Honestly, just give him time. He’s new to this relationship thingy.

If Diluc is great at cuddles, ZHONGLI, on the other hand, is best at massages. He knows those tired eyes need one, so he offers to help you relieve stress. His fingers start to massage your scalp as you sigh in exhaustion, then he whispers praises and sweet nothings, telling you did great and deserve a rest. After that, he’ll tuck you in bed and kiss your forehead as “sweet dreams.”.

We all know how CHILDE becomes reckless when fighting. So, once he was on your doorstep, you greeted him with bandages and ointments in your hand. And whenever you start to patch him up, that’s where your scolding comes in. But Childe being Childe, he just took this as a joke. He knows how worried you are about him, especially since he comes home with scars and cuts all over his body almost every day. Once he blurts out his apologies, he’ll make it up to you by going on a date.

KAZUHA loves writing haikus, and that like increased when he met you. Unbeknownst to you, he wrote them while you were away, so he’ll beckon you to listen to his haikus that were secretly about you when you come home. How could he not write about someone so beautiful? He’d be an idiot if he missed the chance.

Do you know who always makes you laugh without even trying? Yes, it’s the one and only ITTO. One time, he wanted to challenge you to a duel of Onikabuto, but he lost, and his face was hilarious. You tried to comfort him, but laughter came out of your mouth instead of settling words. Though, he didn’t mind one bit at all. He wouldn’t mind losing to another battle if it meant seeing your tender smile.

Being the head of the Kamisato clan, AYATO is always busy, but he never forgets to spend time with you. Every time he does his paperwork, you are always at the back of his mind. He would think about what he could do to make up for the lost time. Good thing his sister was there to snap out of his thoughts to continue his work. After work, the first thing he’ll do is to find you, and when he finally does, he’ll give you a chaste kiss on your forehead and a tender one on your lips.

You hate doing your chores, but you wouldn’t mind if you do it with THOMA. He knows how to brighten up the mood, like using the broom as a guitar or using the mop’s handle as a microphone. And when you’re done doing them, he’ll serve you his special Miso soup that you loved. Oh, and he peppers you kisses as he praises you for doing your chores.

He hears you singing outside his office when you're walking on the top of the wall singing to yourself, hearing a voice and dismissing it until it recognizes it’s you. Once he knows it's you, he immediately stops whatever he’s doing and secretly stares out the window to watch you with nothing but pride and love on his face. He spends a good time listening to you when he realizes he should get back to his work, regretfully tearing himself away but enjoying the sweet song as he works.

When he finishes work he finds you the moment he’s out and pick your up spinning you around and starts praising your voice, saying how he can’t believe he’s never heard it before.

If you're shy then he’ll respect it but plead occasionally to hear it as he’s working or at night when it’s the two of you in private.

If you're not shy then he’ll ask if you can sing to him more often and will brag about it to everyone, even convincing you to sing in public.

regardless if you're shy or not, he’ll boast about how his s/o has the best voice in all of Mondstat praising you like you deserved to be.

He’s working in the tavern late when he hears faint singing, he can’t help but want to know who it is and it’s a good excuse to stretch his legs. Telling one of his workers that he’s stepping out for a moment, heading out the back door, and letting his hair out of the usual ponytail.

He wanders toward the bridge entering mondstat and sees you down by the side entrance, eyes closed and carelessly dancing around while singing a song, one he’s never heard of. Diluc is usually quiet so he doesn’t have a problem sneaking up to you but clears his throat announcing his presence because he’s not going to just stand there and stare at you, that’s rude. And he’s not rude, he’s a gentleman.

You’re too busy to hear him and keep singing, so knowing that you’re in your mind, he waits until he thinks you’ve stopped and walked up. Smiling softly as his gaze meets yours and hugs you by your waist, resting his forehead on yours.

He offers you a job at Angel’s Share to sing in the tavern if you’re comfortable, that is, he’s thrilled if you say yes but completely gets it if you decline.

Needless to say, he can’t help but have a softer expression when you sing, either at the tavern or with him, and others notice too. Venti will immediately point it out and tease him, if kaeya’s there he will definitely join in which often gets both of them kicked out for the night.

Jean and the traveler won’t say anything but make a comment about your singing and how he’s lucky he is. Although Diluc doesn’t say anything, his silence speaks volumes, he continues to fall in love with you more each day.

Venti:

oh boy. wow.

let’s just say, he’s a little peeved but he’s extremely excited, so be ready for his over-enthusiastic energy.

Whether you’re around the city or near the statue or even by the bridge, he’ll be perched somewhere enjoying the song the winds bring in, when he hears clapping and looks around to see a crowd feathering around someone. Always the curious one, he glides down and sees it’s you that's singing with a crowd for money.

Stunned is the only emotion that comes to mind when he hears you sing, your voice is so soft and sweet, more beautiful than any melody he’s heard. Weaving to the front and sitting down criss-cross in the front row, elbows resting on his knees and head laying on his hands. His smile couldn’t get any wider and beams when you look at him, unintentionally giving a lovesick expression.

After you’re done performing, he’ll bombard you with questions like

“Why didn’t you tell me you could sing?” “We have to do a duet, please!!” “Your voice is so pretty and better than any melody I've ever heard, what’s your favorite song?”

He’ll keep insisting that you both have to sing together until you say yes and of course it’s under the great tree, dvalin will probably be there as per the request of his friend. Happy resting at the bottom of the tree, enjoying the cool shade and warm breeze, eyes resting on the both of you humming and deciding on a song to sing.

Now that he’s heard you sing, he can no longer call himself the best bard in all of mondstat because that’s you. So he does the next best thing, starts telling people that you both are the best bards in all of mondstat, and brags to everyone how amazing your voice is.

Will definitely write verses for you to sing and chorus to test out, helping you out by teaching you how to play his lyre. Most of his songs are written about you or with you in mind, he dreams about hearing them sing with your melodic voice.

You get a name upgrade.

When she hears you sing, everything changes and asks you to sing while in the library, saying it has great acoustics and how it gets too quiet and lonesome there.

She will start calling you siren because of your voice and how alluring it is, often being interrupted by one of the knights and remembering that she does indeed have work to do. But politely asks you to keep her company and of course, you’re free to sing or hum, she encourages it and insists no one will hear you if you’re nervous.

Often she’ll fall asleep while listening to you if you're both getting ready for bed or when you’re both relaxing. Lisa won’t tell anybody if you don’t want her too but she’ll non stop praising you for your voice.

༻Xiao༺

You were on the deck of the wangshu inn and knew it was a special full moon, climbing onto the branches and making it to the top of the tree, hanging off it by one arm. What you didn’t know was that the inn's usual Adeptus was walking onto the dimly lit balcony, not knowing you were there until the moon rose and you couldn’t help but hum a tune that your parents sang to you.

It had been a while since you'd seen them and that wasn’t the issue, it was that growing up your neighbor and best and you watched the full moon rise every time. It was a tradition and a time when both of you could escape but they had moved away long ago and happened to be the anniversary of when you last saw each other.

By now, Xiao had noticed you up there and had been looking around for you but when he noticed that small tears were rolling down your cheeks as you sang, he decided that it was best to leave you to yourself until you noticed him and moved to a nearby branch. He knew the polite thing would have been to leave but after knowing you a while decided to stick around in case you wanted comfort that he was happy to provide (or at least the best he could) and he secretly loved your voice.

you both had first met when Xiao asked you why you were singing, you didn’t really give a reason just that you liked to and he muttered something about “confusing mortals”. You would have left but you had never heard anything about him, not hearing footsteps or any sign that he walked up here, and he was really attractive.

As the days went on Xiao found that you listened to him and was someone he could rely on, so when you were the one that suggested going on a date he hesitated at first then decided to give it a try. To say he was scared something would happen to you was a bit of an understatement because of his past, he couldn't get attached just to lose another person he cared about and didn’t have to worry about that when you both ran into a bunch of hillichurls and you took care of it easily, knowing you weren’t glass, you were tough.

༻Kaedehara Kazuha༺

It’s late at night when you can’t sleep so you’ll walk out to the desk, waving to Beidou as she tiredly steers the ship and heads to the front of the ship. Beidou knows that you sing when you have insomnia but it's a well-kept secret between you too, but what you don’t notice is Kazuha in the crow’s nest and spots you walking toward the front.

He wonders what you could possibly be doing at this time of night, getting out of his meditation position and leaning against the rim. You look up at the stars and sing a song someone very dear taught to you before they died, inhaling and letting your gentle voice fill the air as you sang out all your worries.

Immediately both Beidou and Kazuha are overwhelmed with a sense of calm and peace as he admires how soothing your voice is, letting his mind drift at your singing, and looks to Beidou who grins at him and nods. After a few minutes, he gets down from the crow’s nests and compliments you, receiving a light blush and a thank you.

He asks you if he can listen to you sing more and you oblige, resting against a pile of nets in his lap as you hum lullabies. When you sing or close your eyes, he can’t help but admire you and how beautiful you look. The moon's glow highlights your features gracefully and he smiles. The only thought is how lucky he is to have you as his s/o.

When morning comes, you squint at the bright lights and blush once you realize that you’re still in Kazuha’s lap with his arms encircled around you, smiling in pure love, looking at his peaceful face, and staring at his lips.

You were going to go back to sleep when you felt him peck your cheek, seeing his warm crimson eyes, and kiss his lips. His warm lips broke away from yours when he readjusted you both so you were in the shade and wouldn’t get burnt.

He and Lumine were walking around between Liyue and Mondstat with you, just enjoying finally being rejoined with their sibling and the warm breeze flowing through their blonde hair. You ran up ahead and climbed some rocks where you could see birds scatter and the sun peak behind a nearby mountain.

Aether grabbed his sister and ran to where you were, both of them kneeling beside either one of you as you leaned your head on his shoulder. Humming a soft tune that you all remember long ago and starting softly singing the lyrics, serenading nature around you.

The blonde smiled and visibly relaxed at your voice, noticing Lumine shoot him a teasing glance and him turning the other way hearing her laughing. Wrapping an arm around you and pulling you closer humming along with you (the best he could). The wish for this moment to last forever was shared amongst the three of them, the otherworldly siblings were reunited, you were with them, and you and aether were finally together.

Aether saw Paimon and Lumine chuckling to themselves and shooed them away blushing, finally having some alone time with you. His long blonde braided hair blew behind him and the warmth of your body next to his, singing a sweet familiar song, whispering how wonderful your voice was.

༻Gorou ༺

It’s when he’s heading back from training some soldiers because he is a general after all (even after the vision hunt is abolished), and heard a soft voice singing somewhere in the distance. His ears twitch and angle toward the sound, knowing he should report back to the High Priestess but is lured towards you anyway. Starting in a walk then faster and then runs for fear of the voice disappearing, stopping abruptly when he sees you hopping from rock to rock on the shore and mindlessly singing a song from your home.

Tail wagging, Gorou hides behind a nearby tree and peaks out to watch you, ears craning to better hear you. He takes a deep breath and tries to control his excitement, grabbing his tail that keeps brushing bushes and making a fair amount of noise. Pupils widen as you dance from stone to stone, serenading anyone nearby with your voice, how lucky he was to be with you.

As you stop to make your way back to the shore, he backs away and silently returns to camp. No matter what he was upset or tired about, it’s gone now and he's going to ask you later to sing to him. Maybe you could teach him a song, oh he’d love to write a song for you! Kazuha can help, Gorou’s ears dipped back as he thought about how he could surprise you with this, ultimately not getting very far with the scene he just saw playing on loop in his mind.

Later when most of the soldiers and people in the camp are getting dinner, you meet up with your lover and talk about your days. Gorou eating his food and subtly humming the song you sang earlier causing you to stop suddenly and flush. Muttering something under your breath, Gorou notices and smiles, “Something wrong, beloved?”. Shaking your head and going back to eating, he’d ask you about it later.

༻Arataki Itto༺

Even though this man hasn’t come out yet, I can already get a sense that this man is cocky and will tease you, but on the inside genuinely admires your singing. He probably hears it when you both are relaxing or YOU are relaxing and Itto is training, you hum a song you sing with your friend, eyes closed and enjoying the sun on your skin.

Your voice reaches Itto’s ear and he falters, shifting his gaze over to you and resting his weapon on the stone beneath him. A faint blush painting his face when he sees you, hum and whispers lyrics to yourself, such a peaceful sight. Now Itto is all about fighting and testing his limits, but that doesn’t mean that he dislikes a tranquil environment and it’s even more complemented by his lover being a siren.

Slowly wandering over to you, discarding his weapon behind him and hypnotically moving closer to you, before scooping you up and twirling you around. Itto praised your voice and how lucky he was to court you. “What did I do to deserve a siren such as yourself?”

He happened to be walking outside observing some training being done but heard a voice singing and going to stop them because one this isn’t the place to be singing or doing anything like that and two it was distracting. The balladeer strolled toward the voice, smirking as he thought about the victims face when he interrupted them and scolded them.

What shocked him was that it was you, his S/O, singing like there was no care in the world. You were randomly dancing around some trees and singing a tune that he vaguely recognised, all while smiling on your face. Well now he couldn’t leave, Scaramouche stood near a pillar and peered at your graceful figure sweetly humming some parts, acting as a siren and luring him in all the more.

You were good, if it were anyone else he would shout at them to get back to work and punish them but he did have a soft spot for you, so he could let it go just this once. He adored how you were all his and no one else got to see this side of you (and the loving side of him).

Glancing around to make sure it was just the two of you and hearing you stop, his attention was now fully on you as you got up and wiped off invisible dust on your clothes. You looked startled as you heard clapping and saw a flash of purple disappear behind a corner, but you didn’t miss the rather large hat that they wore.

He hears you singing when he’s working in Mondstadt and you were on your own somewhere in the other room but your voice must have carried because of the way the room was built. Trying to concentrate as he mixed some solutions together and attempted to note down the result, looking at his next step. Slightly doing it wrong on account of your wonderful voice, Albedo had to admit that your voice was beautiful and very distracting. Not wanting to bother or upset you by asking you to stop but he did have to do his work.

So he took a break for a few minutes noting down assignments he had to and what material he would have sucrose grab before assisting her in an experiment that required 2 people. All the while using your voice as a peaceful working tune and enjoying each note you sang out. You most likely knew that he could hear you, if not then he’d have to remind you that the room echos and to be careful if you don’t want to be heard, but then again he didn’t want to not stop singing around him entirely. Peacefully deciding that he would continue his work slowly to make sure that nothing went wrong, smiling as he finished his work and reminding himself to ask you to sing while he worked more often (maybe putting aside the fact that you had the most beautiful voice he’d ever heard).

now, xiao would never be the one to push you to come to a concert but he did hope you’d eventually come see at least one bc it would give him more confidence ;(

so today was the day !! 4NEMO was travelling abroad on tour and you were allowed to come with them, so as a surprise and a sort of ‘thank you’ gift, you decided to come to their concert

when xiao saw you in the crowd his heart actually melted he felt so happy on the inside, but he had to keep his cool and mysterious front for everyone else (bc yk, that’s sort of his brand)

tho, even he couldn’t hide the smile that crept on his face (the fans noticed it and oh my were the edits/fancams intriguing to say the least)

after the show you guys met up in a nearby café, he refused to talk abt how excited he was when he saw you

he felt so embarrassed but so uplifted at the same time bc literally the love of his life went to see him perform

eventually thanked you for coming to watch him :)) gave u a smooch on the forehead and a warming hug <3

at the end of the show he sent a kiss to the audience but made sure he was facing more so your direction

you met up backstage and he beelined towards you, engulfing you in a breathtaking (literally) hug whilst kissing all over your face

he could not hold in his excitement (>﹏<) after constant begging and pleas you finally came to see him perform !! now he knows that restless nagging works to get him what he wants lol

he was practicing choreography the night before the concert so you got like the slightest glimpse at what was meant to happen on stage

but when you saw him actually perform he looked so defeated and exhausted :( you couldn’t help but feel sad that he’s worked himself that hard

he tried his best to get thru his exhaustion especially after he caught sight of you in the crowd <33 it was a lovely sentiment but he ended up passing out right after he got off stage

you got to take care of him at least and he’s never felt better !

when he eventually did get better (thanks to your generous nursing) he gives you feathery kisses on the crown of your head silently thanking the lords above for gifting you to him

i mean poor boy worked himself so hard that he fell ill for a good week, that clearly deserved some reprimanding

nonetheless, he gave you a long cuddle session as an apology

first of all. absolutely precious boy refused to ask you about coming to see one of their concerts

he knew one of (most likely venti) the members would embarrass him in some way and he could not handle that not today or ever

so out of your own volition you came to visit him ;))

he was extremely happy !! he felt like he performed so much better because of you simply just being there

the constant glances over at your specific direction didn’t go unnoticed by fans — the edits were very cute ^_−☆

takes you out to a mini dessert shop right after the concert and starts asking you some questions about your thoughts on the whole thing

your responses made him very sunny (does that even make sense lol) he couldn’t help but give you some kisses as a reward

Visiting A Beloved's Grave | Diluc, Xiao, Kazuha

warning: Um character death, talks of death, yeah that's it, it's kinda sad but not that much (SFW)

Here lies Crepus Ragnvindr...

“Diluc, what are you doing?” You groggily rubbed your eyes as you walked down the stairs to the lobby of the mansion. The clock ticked in the silent night, hands showing the time to be a little past one in the morning.

You just so happened to wake up and notice the emptiness in bed beside you. You thought that perhaps Diluc had gone downstairs to read for a while, as he had usually done when sleep avoided him, but you were surprised to see him putting on his overcoat.

He was going outside.

He looked up at you descending from the stairs, eyes wide in surprise at seeing you awake. “You should be asleep, Dearest.”

“Well so should you. Where are you going this late at night?” You wrapped your robe tighter around your body, shuffling against the wooden floor and closer to him.

He sighed, pushing his red bangs with his gloved hand while looking at you with a mixed expression. “I’m…going to visit father’s grave.” It looked like he was struggling to say that, not sure how you’d react to that.

But when you smiled delicately and reached out to hold his hand is yours, delicately rubbing his leather-clad knuckles, he felt a huge weight ease off his shoulders.

“Give me a moment to put on my coat and we’ll go together, alright?” You offered.

The gentle breeze ruffled your overcoat as you hugged it tight around yourself, making sure not to squeeze the flowers you picked on the way to Mondstad’s cathedral. Behind the great building was a small cemetery for heroic souls, Diluc’s father being one of them.

It was upon Varka’s insistence that Crepus Rangvindr’s tombstone was placed alongside those of the heroes, for he deserved a title no less than that.

The cobblestone looked recently cleaned, apart from the little specks of moss growing in the ridges and the grooves.

You stood beside Diluc, feeling him clutch your hand tightly as he tried processing his feeling, the wind stinging his eyes. You bumped your shoulder against his arm, making him look at you. His fiery red eyes were swirling, emotions threatening to spill out as his walls almost broke.

You handed him the bouquet, tilting your head in the direction of the grave. “Why don’t you say something to him. I’m sure wherever he is right now, he’d definitely hear you.”

Diluc swallowed a lump and nodded, shaky hands taking the flowers from you as he walked forward to kneel in front of the grave.

Tenderly, he placed the flowers in front of the stone, taking a deep breath to gather his thoughts.

“Hello, father.” He started, clearing his throat. He needed encouragement, and you were more than happy to help, stepping up behind him and placing a hand on his shoulder, squeezing reassuringly.

Diluc looked over his shoulder and smiled at you before bringing his attention back to the grave.

“I…I miss you dearly. You were my guiding light, and I aspired to become like you, hardworking and diligent. I…still do. I wish I could be a fraction of the hero you were. You were truly awe-inspiring and not a day goes by when I don’t think of you, of the person you helped me become.

There’s so much that I wish to share with you, so many things I still need your guidance in. I often find myself feeling lost, but… thinking of you, of what you would do… it brings me back on track.” Diluc chokes a breath.

You drape yourself over his shoulders, hugging him from behind. “You’re doing great, Diluc. I’m sure your father would be proud of the person you’ve become.” You gave him an understanding smile.

Diluc gave a half-hearted laugh to you, turning back to the grave. “I also wish I could introduce you to Y/N, the person I’ve found myself to fall in love with. The most wonderful person I’ve ever met. So compassionate, so hardworking, I’m sure you’d love them.”

You blushed at his words, not expecting him to talk of you.

“Y/N…thank you for coming here with me today, and encouraging me to express myself.” Diluc grasped your hand in his, placing a kiss on your palm.

And till the crack of dawn, Diluc recited his stories, the ones which he wished to share with his father…and with you.

Here lies Pervases...

“Xiao, do you have any plans for today?” You approached the Yaksha as he stood on the roof of the inn. The breeze blew, making his scarf flow behind him in the night. His arms were crossed against his chest, eyes closed in concentration.

He sighed, turning to face you while letting his arms fall to his side, opening himself and making himself vulnerable in front of you. His eyes slowly opened to take in the sight of you holding a basket in your hand.

“I suppose you are going to go visit the Shrine of Pervases.” He muttered out, breaking the silence.

You indeed were. It was his death anniversary that day, also a day that marked a year since you had seen his spirit roaming the mortal realms. He helped you prepare for the Dream Trawler ritual even though he knew in doing so he would break the spell that allowed his spirit to remain in the mortal realm.

You nodded, swinging the blanket that harboured Grilled Ticker Fish as an offering for him. It was one of his favourite dishes, so it only seemed suitable. What you kept secret was that is there was a serving of Sweet Almond Tofu that you packed in case Xiao decided to come with.

“Very well. I shall accompany you.” He stated, spinning on his heels to start walking down the stairs of the inn with you trailing behind him.

The walk to the shrine was silent, but not unpleasant. It was evident on Xiao’s face that he was thinking about Pervases. His usual stoic expression was much softer and distant as he strolled beside you, occasionally holding a hand out for you to tread through uneven parts of your journey.

Finally, when you reached the newly built shrine, your heart lifted at how the villagers had decorated it. Paper lanterns hung from the freshly painted wood and wind chime sings songs along with the wind.

You kneeled in front of the crane statue that represented the Adeptus form of Pervases. The stone looked smooth and polished, thanks to the villagers who had put in the effort to aid in the restoration of the shrine.

“Xiao, do you want to help me?” You asked, holding up a lit incense stick for him to take. Silently he nodded, taking a seat beside you and waving the incense stick in holy symbols. The fumes emitting from the stick floated up into the cerulean sky, taking with it your prayers.

“Pervases, wherever you are, I hope you’re doing well. Paimon and I miss you quite a lot. Unfortunately, she couldn’t come with me today but know that she gave strict instructions to offer you the best Ticker Fish I could make.” You giggle, placing the offering at the foot of the statue.

The yaksha beside remained silent, amber eyes following your movements until he caught your eyes gazing at him. He coughed and looked away from you, seeming unbothered.

“Xiao, do you want to say a few things?” You encouraged, reaching to wrapped hand around his. He stiffened slightly before exhaling audibly from his nose. His head bobbed in agreement, eyes darting to the statue.

“Pervases…you were a good warrior. I feel honoured to have fought beside you.” Xiao muttered expressionlessly. When you thought that that was all you could coax out of him, he continued.

“You were quite different from the other adepti. Much more compassionate. I know how much you worried about my karmic debt and I just wish for you to know…that I keep your concerns in mind. Be aware that I do not slack in my duties and I continue to protect the lands. Pervases…your absence is noticed by me. I hope wherever you are, you are living a content life.”

Xiao’s face reddened in embarrassment as he abruptly stopped. “That is all I have to say.”

“That was quite touching Xiao. I’m sure he heard your kind words.” You smiled at the yaksha.

“It felt nice to speak out my thoughts. I suppose I have you to thank for encouraging me to talk.” Xiao scooted closer to you, leaning his head on your shoulder. You grinned and patted his head, kissing his hairline.

“Xiao, why don’t we share a meal with Pervases? You can tell me more about him.” You put forth, taking the almond tofu out of its packaging and placing it on a mat in the middle of your little circle of Pervases, Xiao and you.

He looked at the dish, a small serene smile hinting on his lips.

Here lies Tomo...

“I thought I’d find you here.” You sighed, walking to where Kazuha was kneeling in front of a katana thrust into the ground. Around the katana were a few strewn flower petals and sweets as offerings.

After all, today was the day when Inazumans paid their respects to the deceased souls. Candles decorated all the houses, a ritual that believed that the flame of a lit candle helped guide departed souls to heaven.

You finally reached next to Kazuha as he held a hand out for you to grab, helping you kneel down, a task so hard to do, given the festive kimono you had on. You both giggled as you struggled to sit, but finally seated yourself beside the blonde male.

“Done with the prayers?” Kazuha asked, pushing a strand of hair behind your ear as you straightened your skirt. You nodded at him, “It was quite a walk coming down from the shrine, but how could I give up spending a moment with you and Tomo?”

Kazuha wrapped an arm around your shoulder, pulling you to his side for a second to plant a kiss on the top of your head. “Well then, shall we go ahead with our own prayers?”

You closed your eyes and folded your hands, muttering holy words under your breath in hopes that your words would guide his spirit to a better place. As a part of your prayers, you uncovered a box of fruits and laid a few of them beside his grave.

“Tomo, you silly boy, I miss you so much.” You wipe the corner of your eye, trying to not cry and not mess up the make up that took you a while to do. Kazuha found your fingers hidden in the bell sleeves of your dress. He played with your fingertips, running his bandage clad fingers over your skin.

“Kazu, why don’t you say something to Tomo?” You gaze into his scarlet eyes as he hummed in agreement, lidding his eyes for a moment to collect his thoughts.

“Tomo, you were a true warrior. Till your final breath, you fought for what you believed in, and that is a skill of yours I’ve always admired and tried to practice myself.” Kazuha paused when a bush rustled from the side.

A white cat peaked from behind the bushes, striding towards to blade and the fruit you had offered. The cat sniffed the lavender melons before sinking its fangs into the sweet flesh of the fruit, savouring the flavour.

Kazuha smiled at the feline, remembering of the white cat that Tomo was so fond of, carrying it around with him wherever he went.

“More than a warrior, you were a true friend to me. I still think of the times when we would duel together as practice and all the countless times when you had defeated me. But no matter what, you’d always give me your hand and pick me up, handing me my blade and challenging me to another round. You taught me how to keep challenging myself, and if I have to credit anyone for making me into the person I am today, it has to be you.”

Your fingers traced mindless patterns on the back of Kazuha’s hand as you felt tears brim in your eyes at the intensity of the attachment he had with Tomo.

“Of course, I also have to thank you for bringing Y/N into my life.” Kazuha lightened the mood, lifting your hand to his lips to kiss your knuckles. “The two of you were…are my whole life. And I wouldn’t dare imagine a second any different from the way it has passed. I do wish you were here with us, the three of us enjoying together, but I suppose you’re here in your own way, aren’t you?”

Kazuha’s tranquil voice caught the attention of the white cat, who approached the two of you slowly, carefully seeing if you were a threat or not. When the cat was confident enough, it rubbed its body along your knees before moving to rest its chin on Kazuha’s thigh.

Kazuha laughed and scratched the cat behind the ear, hearing it purr in satisfaction as you leaned closer and rest your head on his shoulder.

“Do you remember that one time when Tomo decided it was a good idea to jump into the stream during the winter nights? Every single time we’d have to care for him only for him to do it again.”

You beamed, both of you relieving the fond memories of you and your friend.
