Anyway so it turns out the guy's name is actually Keith and I've never been so disappointed I didn't want to mention Voltron in my life

In a similar way of recognising Keith, Yor was equally quick in noticing Melinda's car while she was on her way to pick up Anya and despite having just met Damian, she was able to instantly recognise him being Melinda's son.

Apart from possessing a strong sibling intuition, Yor might have been as alert as Yuri when it comes to sensing her brother's presence in a nearby surrounding through her sharp observation.

Individuals that struck an extensive impression upon meeting like Nightfall would have given Yor a clearer memory on the said person in comparison to those who are more average-looking.

Note: This brief analysis was made to dispel the contradiction on the allegations where Yor was said to be unable to recognise the person that she had interacted with despite the clear signs throughout the series that showcased her sharp observation skills, which had been the core of her assassination job, as emphasised by herself. In fact, she could be the first person who would be able to note the disguises doned by those around her in the future and eventually figure out everything faster than the others.

Choosing to casually dismiss such trait would be as good as doubting Yor's overall credibility that further caused her personality to be lost in between the distortions that rose from a lack of clear reasoning. And thus, giving in to something unclear wouldn't be wise.

Hello! I was doing the 30 day sxf challenge by @gijipaw and came across this panel in chapter 22:

My question is, when Keith Kepler asks “who the hell is that?!” is there a play on words with “tasogare” meaning “who is that?” With an expletive added in?

I also wonder if there are other moments in the manga and anime where a play on words with Twilight’s name occurs!

Hi! I don't see anything of note about his dialogue in that panel. He literally says "Who the hell/heck is that?" using standard writing.

I don't recall any play on words with Twilight's name, though I haven't read all of the manga in Japanese. I actually don't know of a connection between "tasogare" and the Japanese phrase for "who is that?" It could be some obscure language item I simply never came across in my studies. So if you have more info about this, please let me know 👀

Day 12: Best Moment of My Favorite Character

I dunno man, my favorite character is Twilight and he has a lot of badass, comedic, sad, and cathartic moments that could all count as "best" in some way.

But I guess I covered comedic and sad in previous posts, so I'll pick the best badass moment this time. Chapter 22, the end of the bomb dog crisis arc:

I'm not fluent in Japanese but I know that Twilight, or "Tasogare," has a double meaning of "Who is that?" so I really wonder what Keith Kepler's exclamation sounded like in Japanese! Was it also a play on words with Tasogare, but with a curse word added to it? TASO-WHAT THE HELL-GARE!

Also side note, I found it really funny and overdramatic that in the previous chapter, as the German shepherd (who will later become Aaron) jumps at him, Twilight RIPS OFF HIS MASK and talks to the damn dog.

Like hello you are still undercover! The lead terrorist and the SSS are still all around you! Somebody could see your face!

But no, this dog was bold enough to attack the greatest spy of the West, so that dog deserves to see his true face! (???)

I mean I get it, visually it's much cooler to have Twilight as his hot self confront the dog and monologue at it, instead of the wrinkly old face of the government official he was impersonating...but come on, this is far from elite spy tactics. The "toilet paper hanging out of the pants" moment in the Gerald Gorey chapter was more elite than this unnecessarily dramatic move.

Still, badass!!
