Hi guys! I’m back to writing!!!!
With my one of my lovely best friends motivating me on, we are writing a collaborative work on Ao3, which will also be posted on my Wattpad later. As a little treat for the holidays, I am posting the summary, the first few paragraphs of the work and the link to finish reading the chapter if you like it, so here it goes:
Summary
Join the Cast of Holby and Casualty as part of the Harry Potter universe. Between classes, wizard duels, Voldemort’s return and everything in between, join three unlikely heroes in the journey to saving Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Chapter 1: Prologue (preview)
31st October, 1998
Kevin had already gone to bed by the time Jools had been awoken by her child's whimpering cries. Sensing something was wrong, Jools pulled out her wand and raced to Sah's bedroom, where she found her child crying in their crib, a haunting figure standing over them.
Jools waved her wand, snarling as she walked into the room. "Depulso!" She yelled. A bolt of light blue energy flew at the figure, pushing them back. The figure crashed against the wall, knocking over the bookshelf.
This did not deter the figure, however, and he regained his stamina quickly before starting to retaliate. "Expelliarmus!" He yelled.
However, to Jools ears, this was drowned by the send of Kevin shouting "Protego", sending the red spark of the figure's spell shooting off and creating a dent in the wall at the back of the room.
"Take Sah and run, Jools. Get out of the house." Kevin ground out, taking an offensive stance in front of his wife and child. Jools tried to argue, but the figure was already flicking his wand.

"Semi-Charmed Life" is a song by American rock band Third Eye Blind from their their debut album (1997). Frontman Stephan Jenkins is credited as the writer of the song (although guitarist Kevin Cadogan has disputed the song's authorship through litigation). The single peaked at #4 on the US Billboard Hot 100, giving Third Eye Blind their first entry on the chart. Internationally, it was a top 40 hit in six countries. The song remains the band’s most successful single, being certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
According to Jenkins, the song is about a crystal meth addiction and the feeling that "your life is always about to change and never be reliable." The music video was directed by Jamie Morgan and shot in the SOMA district of San Francisco because the group was striving to capture an idealistic visual of the city. To accomplish this task, Morgan recruited San Franciscans to appear in it. Morgan also explained that the ending shot of a moon landing was a reference to the MTV moonman logo and the MTV Generation.

In 1959, an alien experiment crashes to earth and infects a fraternity member. They freeze the body, but in the modern day, two geeks pledging a fraternity accidentally thaw the corpse, which proceeds to infect the campus with parasites that transform their hosts into killer zombies.

Movie Reviews:
John Chard: What is this? A homicide, or a bad B-movie?
Not exactly what you would call an unknown horror comedy, but there is the distinct feeling that it should be better known. As its cult fan base will attest, this is blast of a movie, a homage to the “B” schlockers of lore. Directed by Fred Dekker, the premise sees some alien beings eject a flask of alien slugs down to earth, which lands at a fraternity campus, something which cause mayhem some years later when a frozen body is disturbed at the medical lab and the slugs are unleashed. Cue infestation that turns people into zombies!
The pic plays up to the clichés of fraternity based movies, with nerds and nudity on tap, all smothered in a gooey horror comedy sauce. One-liners are ripe, the characterisations also, the latter of which fronted by a glorious Tom Atkins as a hard drinking hard – boiled detective with issues and quips ready to be poured out. It’s not genius film making, but given the low budget it deserves its cult status, because it never pauses for breath and it’s very aware of what it wants to be – and crucially who its target audience is. 7/10
Dsnake1: Night of the Creeps is a fantastic movie to watch in many different situations: with friends, at a sleepover, in the middle of the night, in the middle of the day, and so many more.
It’s an easy to watch flick, and it contains the right balance of horror elements, gore, campiness, humor, and absurdity to make each viewing as enjoyable as the last. It’s got a touch of body-stealing aliens, a touch of zombies, a touch of traditional serial killer, all mixed with all the fun that can come fro...

Madam Justice Laurie-Ann Smith Bovell has jailed three men for their roles in a racket that involved emptying a pensioner’s bank account and endangering her life. Kevin Dacosta Cadogan, of Arthur’s Seat, St Thomas; Kirk St Clair White, of Jackson Main Road, St Michael; and Adrian Drakes, of White Hill Village, Shop Hill, St Michael will spend varying amounts of time in Dodds for their crimes. White and Cadogan had pleaded guilty to theft of $290 000 and $22 960 belonging to the Bank of Nova Scotia, between August 1 and October 31, 2011; as well as engaging in transactions totalling $312 960, the proceeds of crime. The complainant in the matter worked in the United States and England and repatriated her money, kept at the mentioned bank, to Barbados for her retirement. Justice Smith-Bovell said there was a high level and significant amount of planning to steal the woman’s money. She said Cadogan, who was a teller, breached his position of trust at the bank which had a domino effect, impacting the banking sector, the public’s confidence in the bank and fellow employees. The judge pointed out that the money was stolen over a long period of time, the majority was not recovered, and steps were taken to prevent the pensioner from reporting the matter to the police. A starting sentence of six years was imposed on the two men and after taking into account the aggravating and mitigating factors of the offence, it was increased by two years. That was then decreased by two years after the migrating factors outweighed the aggravating factors. From that six years, they were given a one-third discount for their guilty plea and another year was subtracted for the delay in their matter. In White’s case, the 78 days he had spent on remand was also credited, leaving him with a sentence of two years and 287 days. Cadogan had a final sentence of two years, 277 days after he was credited for the 88 days he had already spent on remand. That sentence was imposed on all three counts to run concurrently.
Semi- Charmed…

" During Third Eye Blind concerts at the time, it was customary for the band to have a piñata release candy above their mosh pits, yet at the showcase for the record executives, lead singer Jenkins released live crickets from the piñata instead. "
