Follow-up to Early Bird N'Doul

Holly would absolutely take in this tiny crime boi once this whole fiasco is over and the kids are safe again

N'Doul absolutely does not trust Holly, he loves his friends and would die for them but adults are bad!!!It's some sort of trick, no adult would be this nice without wanting something from him! (Even if he's happy to live with Jotaro)

But Holly is so patient. She gives him space and figures out his favourite foods to cook for him and always tries to be there when he needs help. She doesn't get mad when he uses Geb to scare some mean local kids away or comes back with like 20 different wallets he stole out of habit (although she does make him hand them over to the police station)

He keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop. Surely Holly will realise she made a mistake and will send him back, when he goes too far misbehaving or if he doesn't perform up to standard in this new school he got enrolled in. Jotaro is confused about N'Doul's hostility towards his mom and they have a big argument which Holly walks in on and hears everything and oh he's screwed up now, surely she won't want him anymore.

But nothing happens. She calms the boys down and takes N'Doul aside to talk to him, and he finally opens up about everything, and as she explains and reassures him he slowly realises she genuinely cares so much and it hurts so bad, is this what having a mom feels like? He wants to cry but he hasn't cried since he was five and he doesn't want to start again. He still doesn't know how to accept her love but he isn't as afraid of being abandoned as he was anymore.

Also both he and Jotaro felt so bad for yelling at each other that they apologised barely 5 minutes after the fight.

Holly is the BEST mom, you can't convince me otherwise. She doesn't hesitate to make sure N'doul has all the accommodations he needs to live comfortably in their house and does what she can to give him the most independence possible while still caring for him. She even gives him a small water pouch he can easily carry around so he'll always have access to Geb

when all the miscommunications are cleared up and N'doul finally starts relaxing in his new life, he's ridiculously protective of his new little siblings. He's the oldest and a teenager, therefore he needs to protect them. It does offer some comfort to them that they have another line of protection should anyone try to take them away again, especially with Jotaro

Jotaro really started off an only child and then gained Three(3) older siblings in one fell swoop didn't he-

I might change his colour scheme later but I'm quite happy with the design. I noticed that CDDH Hol Horse had a horseshoe pin, which gave me the idea to give him an ankh pin to subtly hint at his Stand name.

He lives together with Hol Horse and their kid Louis, and was called in to Morioh by the Foundation to help deal with Angelo, however before his arrival Josuke had been able to take care of the problem himself. In the end, he decided to hang around a while, curious about the town and wanting to catch up with Jotaro.

Also I didn't know about that fairy AU, it's so cute :3

So it's established Tippy is a water fairy and Vanilla is an elf. Dio as the fairy king and Jonathan as a talking flower (pfff, poor Jonny gets all sorts of stuff done to him in these AUs lol)

So imagine...maybe the agents are the different magical creatures of the enchanted forest! Hol Horse would be a centaur (of course...) N'doul could be a gnome who lives underground, the Darbys could be changelings who like playing games with unwary travelers in the forest. The two bullies Steely Dan and Alessi would probably be goblins or trolls 😂

Josuke and Okuyasu are a mismatched couple of an elf and an orc (also, ORCUYASU!!!) and given his snake themed stand maybe Bel could be a naga or even a gorgon like Medusa? Also being Egyptian Avdol could maybe be a sphinx who likes riddling. Not sure what Polnareff would be though. Maybe a centaur too like Hol Horse?

Anon, words cannot describe how much I love this Idea 😭😭 I've already written a little bit of the fic here and Bel is also a fairy BUT- honestly I like your idea of him being a Naga way more, that's just too damn cool AAUUGHH I'll probably do some concept art doodles of the cast soon 🤩✨ I absolutely love the idea of everyone as some sort of magical fantasy being of some sort 🥹

Elf Josuke and Orcuyasu 😭✨ and yes troll Alessi and Steely Dan, they literally do some trolling 🤣 Those two think they're so funny, but Bel doesn't find their antics quite as hissssssterical though-

What if I did all three of them? lol

I said this a year ago and I'll say it again, Realgars have Broly energy! They just do. It was so easy to figure this out actually. Realgars are pretty strong as is, but I think Broly here would be a perfect cut Realgar. Perfect cut Gems are the cream of the crop when it comes to their particular gemtypes and tend to be way stronger than them as well. A perfect analogy to Broly being well, the Legendary Super Saiyan.

I'm not kidding. I think Mauga would be a Realgar too! Although the reasoning I have is kind of just "it makes sense to me" though so fhnjgfhngjg. And maybe because he acts a lot like some of the Realgars I've seen in roleplays. I do think he'd have his regular weapon though because I feel like Realgars' weapons in general are made and given to the entire gemtype.

Listen, this was so obvious. Geb is a water Stand, Lapis Lazulis have control over water, it just makes sense. N'doul would still be blind (also obviously) but I think he'd be able to hang on through sheer stubbornness and through utilizing his water manipulation abilities in entirely different ways to get his job done avoid being shattered. Yes, he still does the cane sonar thing.

Jjba Stardust Crusaders Ep. 30-33 Thoughts

Iggy goes to do fuck all while the rest of the crew splits in two.

Before I actually talk about the episodes, I wanna briefly give my opinion on the OVA. I haven't watched past part 10 obviously but I think it's important I'll mention it in a later post.

I vastly prefer 2010 anime over the OVA. The production value of the anime is just way higher. The dark tone of the OVA doesn't fit JJBA tbh.

BUT. I actually kinda love them? They have their charm. The darker alternative take is fun, if it was the only animated JJBA option I wouldn't be satisfied with it but as an alternative it's nice. Polnareff and Kakyoin's expressions in the N'Doul episodes are just so funny.

There is a thing or two it does better than the current anime and the manga I think. I really like Kakyoin's portrayal in some of the episodes. There is awkwardness to his mannerisms that you would expect from a teenager, that is not present in the anime OR the manga. His build is also a lot more closer to your average teenager too. That being said, OVA Jotaro runs in the opposite direction by looking 40 in some of the episodes. I don't wanna talk about that tho since everyone has talked about it death.

Also the long haired Star Platinum is pretty sick ngl. Looks even more like Bruford.

Ep. 30-31 (Mariah)

Oohh boy. I don't do well with second hand embarrasment. There are a lot of embarrasing moments in part 2 and 3 but these two episodes are filled to the brim with them. From the walking stairs to entering ladies restrooms to the y'know what. Managed to push thru tho!!

I've noticed a trend with the second half of SC of putting more attention the the stand users. With more iconic designs an all. I wouldn't call Mariah's design original, it just gets the job done (The job being looking conventionally hot).

Advol being really proud about digging a hole to avoid the train is kind of endearing :)

I thought the back and forth between Mariah and Joseph at the end was nice. Joseph's va was especially good in it (R.I.P. Unshō Ishizuka). Mariah saying she'd be down to be with him despite their ages being far apart is really funny considering Dio is tecnically 130+ years old.

Mariah's motivation is a bit of a downgrade compared to N'Doul before her. I mean, being down bad was only part of the reason why he was following Dio, c'mon.

Yeah I don't wanna talk more about this episode. Sorry to all (both) people reading this for reminding you about Ep 31.

Ep. 32-33 (Alessi)

Look at baby Chariot. No don't look away,, you will look at him and you will appreciate him.

Let's also take a moment to appreciate Set not being given to any other person, because the only thing keeping Pol and Jotaro from dying is Alessi being one of the stupidest mfers in the show.

I bet everyone has mentioned this before but I don't care, this was such a good opportunity to bring back part 2 Joseph that it hurts. If you are can do all that fanservice the episode before you can certainly do a part 2 Joseph cameo. I can't complain too much, I do love these episodes as is.

I would say Jotaro not recognizing the earings and the clothes of kid Polnareff is stupid but he thought Joseph's story was bs while having an evil spirit following him, like, in the first episode. So. Not out of character really.

I like the detail of Kid Chariot being more like a sentient companion since kid Polnareff is not fully attuned to his stand yet. It even reaches for Pol when he is drowning :(

If I had a nickel every time Jotaro casually walked into Polnareff dealing with one of Dio's goons without fully knowing what's going on, then beating the shit out of the goon; I'd have two nickels. It isn't a lot but it's pretty funny that it happened twice.

Kid Jotaro kicking ass and then rolling up his sleeve just so he can point and say a cool one liner is killing me. Jotaro is secretly the funniest character in the show.

You can tell Chariot's sadistically smiling under that mask. Amazing.

I love that story goes out of it's way to tell us Alessi is 38 and single.

And the episode ends basically the same way as ep 1.

Overall, I do like these episodes a lot. It's silly and fanservicey in a completely different way from the last episodes. The "your favourite glup shitto has a cameo in the new movie" kind. Seeing baby versions of our favourite characters is something most of us would like. I'm over here not shutting up about baby Chariot. It's like baby yoda. Clearly it worked on me.

Jotaro and Polnareff's interactions this episode really helped to show their friendship. It's hard to remember that fact sometimes with how Jotaro especially is but they really do care about eachother.

I wanna do 34-39 next, then 40-44, lastly 45-48. Seems like the most logical way of going about it.

I know in my heart that the confrontation with Dio is NOT gonna go well. No one has died yet and considering JJBA's track record, yeah, I don't think they'll all make it alive. I did say Kakyoin was my favourite early on but I do love all of them, it's gonna hurt real bad no matter what.

give us a quick run down of your s/i!!

their name is myles sweet (named after the singer alannah myles and the band sweet), they're a member of the agents of dio (they're steely dan's "works with him in a team" partner during canon events and don't become his and n'doul's romantic partner until after dio's defeat), and they're the user of the stand ballroom blitz, which is a set of spectral boots and gauntlets that increase myles's trength and agility proportional to the envy they're feeling.

they're very cynical and grumpy and don't exactly have a personal stake in stopping the crusaders--they don't care much for dio and mostly just need the money.

also all of my s/is for the same series are family in some way--in myles's case, they were the first of the three wayward stand user kids adopted by my part 2 s/i journey speedwagon.

what does your s/i have most in common with you? what's different about them?

so the main thing they have in common with me is that a lot of their pushing people away is a defense mechanism to keep from letting their guard down and being hurt, whether by the other person's actions or by something that could happen to that person. but i don't have it in me to be as cynical and pragmatic as they are.

how did you get the idea for your s/i's backstory?

i thought the idea of someone's first order they give their stand being something they intended as just a silent plea of desperation because they didn't know they had a stand would be interesting. in true jojo fashion, fucked up (in this case, accidentally pushing one's shitty mom out of a high rise window), but interesting nonetheless.

Jotaro

Today, you and Jotaro are sharing a room, usually u have a room just for you but the hotel was almost full, so there were only two rooms available, Joseph and Avdol are in one and, obviously, you and Jotaro on the other. Unfortunately Kakyoin was still in the hospital due to the fight with N'Doul.

Also, you're feeling a little off, so is good to spend the night with someone in the room. Jotaro is not the talkative tipe, but still, you can say that you two get along well.

It was his turn to shower, you were the first. Already in your pajamas you hit the bed, you fall asleep very quick.

When Jotaro gets out of the shower he spots you all sweaty with a very bad expression for who is sleeping pacefully "Oi, wake up!" He shakes you a little until you're awake, by the look on your face it was not a good dream. He put his hand on your forehead "You've said earlyer that you was not feeling so good, right? Your face is hot, must be a fever" He doesn't say anything more before going to the bathroom again and returning with a wet towel, wich he gently places on your forehead "I'll bring you some medicine, don't get up" But before he could go you grab his wrist, you were clearly scared.

He sat by your side and waited for you to tell him what were you feeling and why were you so desperate. You told him about your nightmare while some little tears were falling down. When you end telling him about it you are a little afraid of what a man like him would think of you: afraid of a nightmare? Are you a kid now?

He puts his hand on your right cheek and wipe a tear with his thumb, you were suprised by his action, it was the last thing that you expected. While you were lost in your thoughs, he slowly approached you lips with his, he took his time, the kiss is slow, soft and yet passionate. Your heart skips a beat when he leaves your lips alone making you realize what just happened.

"Maybe with this you can have good dreams now" He leaves the room to get your medicines leaving you lost in the kiss that he just gave u. A little time pass and he is back, he gives u the medicine, a glass of water and wait for you to take it. When you're done he puts the glass on a table near by and lay beside you. With no futher explanation, he close his eyes "Good night"

You were paralized for a second, but then you lay dow with him and, a little automatically, take his hand, you can feel that this suprised him, but then a smile form on his face (and maybe a little blush too). You had good dreams that night.

Kakyoin

It was a beautiful morning, you and the crusaders are in the hotel, you would stay until the afternoon, then take a train to continue the journey to egypt.

After the brakfast, you decide to take a little time to relax, this trip is stressful and you barely have time do breath a little, so, at least until you all catch the train, you decided to calm your mind and body.

You took a book from the hotel shelf and headed down to the pool, what could be more peaceful? You sit by a little table with two chairs and a umbrella in it. The wind was refreshing and the sun was bright.

Some time passes and you hear a familiar voice from the chair next to yours: "Oh, i've already read that one! I can say that the plot is really good" You took a little jumpscare, you are so into the book that you haven't even heard him approaching. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" Of all the boys, Kak was the closest to you, he was always very friendly.

The book was put aside, chatting with Kakyoin is awesome, especially cuz you two have the same taste for some stuff, so the chat flows very easly. In a certain poin of the conversation you mention a book that you've read once, it was he's favorite "Did you like it too? I'm glad, some people just hate all the cliché in this book" You told him that when you were younger you wanted to live those clichés that were always in books or movies, but now you understand that this all is just fictional.

"You think so?" You nod. He takes a moment and stares at you and then get up "W-What about i prove that you're wrong then? He is clearly shy, his ears are a little red, but his expression is serious, his hand reach yours by the small table, he intertwining his fingers with yours. He has a determined face with shine in his eyes.

His lips finally mets yours, they are soft. The kiss is a little hesitant at first, but then it turns out to be really sweet, gentle and lovely. When the kiss end his face is full red, even himsef can't believe he made this, but even with it, he manages to keep his composture "*ahem* I'm heading back inside to see if Mr.Joestar and the other need something before we leave, excuse me" His voice is a little low and he avoids looking into your eyes.

He doesn't have talked to you since then, until you were all on the train in this afternoon. Kakyoin sat by your side still avoiding your eyes "Listen, i just wanted to apologize for earlier, i-" Before he can say anything more you hug him. You can feel his face turning red, he is hesitant to hug you back but then his arms slowly rest over you "So you feel that way too, huh?". You don't even have to see his face to tell that he is smiling.

Polnareff

He was the one who had to go buy some stuff for the group in a market near by the hotel that all of you are in for today.

We all know very well what happens when Pol is alone around the town, so your task is to go shopping with him today, just in case.

Obviously he's all happy that you're coming with him! All the shopping process is full of silly jokes and laughs, he is the best at making you laugh and go for a bad mood to a really good one. Once he told you that he likes ur smile.

You two are already in the hotel hall, when those silly moments of joy with him and the others sudenly crosses your mind...It can end at any moment, after all, you and the crusaders are all targets of skilled and powerfull stand users. You really doesn't want to lose them...

Seems like Polnareff sense your worry, after all, he is the crusader who most spend time and talk with you, he already knows you very well...He hold your hands and get closer: "Chéri, whatever you're worried about, you can always count on your knight in shining armor!" His tone is funny and he's with a silly face on, clearly trying to make you laugh. It is strange to see such a buff man like this.

"And you know? You were much more prettier this morning" When you're about to say something he kisses you, is fast, but gently and sweet enough "Because you were smiling, mon amour"

You're static in the same place, that was very sudenly and now you don't know what to think-

When you come back to your mind you can see he running away with a smile, u can almost feel that all this kiss thing was planned...Well, who cares, after all, now you're smiling too.

Avdol

You and your friends are already in Egypt, the end is finally forming...It's already night and there is no hotel neither a city near by, you all decide to camp for tonight.

Polnareff and Jotaro are putting the tends up, Joseph and Kakyoin are cheking the food and water for the dinner and you and Avdol are responsible for setting up the bonfire. There are some papers in your stuff that u don't mind burning, so let's go.

You two are sit side by side, Avdol already set the fire and you are throwing some papers to keep it-"Hmm...This doesn't seems to be righ-OUCH!" Polnareff was in the ground with the whole tend on top of him, the noise was more loud than you could imagine.

Kakyoin is the fisrt who breaks the silence "Oh my god HAHAHA- How can you-HAHA *ahem* I-I mean, are you okay?" Kak's still giggling while offering his hand to help Pol to get up but he just pull the cherry boy to the groung too "You're laughing at what, huh? You can't even stand-" Before Polnareff could end the phrase a pillow hit his face "Oh no, now you asked for it!" And like that, a pillow fight starts, it doesn't take too long for Jotaro and Joseph get involved too.

You and Avdol can't help but laugh at all this situation: "Everyone was so stressed out about what we gonna face...Is really good to see that a simple moment like that can bring up smiles, isn't it?" He have a soft smile on his face.

You two keep talking while laughter echoes in the background, the mood is very light and warm, especially 'cause Avdol is beside you, is very easy for you to feel comfortable around him, even if he was a little intimidating at first.

Suddenly you spot a picture of you and your family behind some of your papers. In this moments the laughs seems to fade and you stop. It can't be helped, you just left whitout futher explanation and maybe never come back to they. You miss your family and worry about them.

it's almost instantly that Avdol notices your sad expression and the forming tears "Hey..." The tone of his voice is calm, but a little sad...He gentle ups your head in his direction by the chin and place a soft, warm and, especially, comforting kiss in your lips. Slowly, he distances his lips from yours keeping your chin up "I can't make the happy moments last forever neither the sad ones go away, but i really want to make you happy in all of them" His words are like honey and the look on his face is soft.

When you're opening you mouth to tell him about your feelings a pillow hits Avdol. Obviously the pillow fight won't end anytime soon, but that's okay, 'cause this moments are priceless, especially with this man by your side.

Joseph

It is a pretty calm day, you and Joseph are in the town, there is not a particular reason, he just felt like having a little time alone with you, since you joined the crusaders he was very gentle and friendly with you, he says that talking and be around you is calming, after all, you and the crusaders already faced several powerful enemies and went through really stressful situations.

Your eyes spoted the window of a bakery, the good looking cakes took your attention and for a little second you stop to see them, that's when Joseph notices that you stoped waking beside him and come back to see what are tou looking at "Oh, do you want some? They look very yummy" Before you could refuse (cuz he already have spend money asf on this trip) he completes: "To be honest i was really wanting to eat something sweet these days...Cmon, let's get inside" And practically drags you inside.

There are a lot of goodies that make you eyes sparkle, they seem divine! You look for Joseph to ask what is he getting, but he is already with a bunch of food in a outdoor table waving at you.

The first one he wanted you to eat was the cake that you saw in the window; it was a strawberry cake with whippedcream and a really pretty chocolate decoration. He took a plate and cut a slice for you and him, he already took a bite. When you were reaching for yours, he stoppped you. "Now, close your eyes and say 'aaah'" You roll your eyes, but that's okay, he's with a big smile, he is happy! You're definitelly not gonna ruin this moment!

With you eyes closed you feel the cake in your mouth, so you close it, but then something soft reach your lips.

You open your eyes just to see Joseph kissing you, his lips taste like strawberry by the cake he ate. The kiss is very tender. He is with a big smile "The sweetest, isn't it?" He has a little of a joke tone in his words.

You place a hand in your lips to clean the whippedcrem he left on it, you are trying to act normal, but your face is red and now you're shy "Hey, don't worry, actually, you're the sweetest here" He is very good with words, and very good on making you feeling like a blushing mess too "You won't help me eat all this?"

Oh god, in this day you two have ate so much you could explode! But of all the sweets you tried today, Joseph is still your favorite.

I'm just picturing N'Doul in the Early Bird AU. I always kind of imagined him around Jotaro, Kakyoin and Polnareff's age range, could you imagine them becoming friends when they run into each other in the manor??

He's so used to being pushed aside or feared for his disability and Stand and Jotaro and Kakyoin and Polnareff are so eager to be friends with him. He's wary of a trick, of course, but as time passes, these kids never throw stones at him or make fun of him or try to trip him up and steal his cane. Polnareff always begs to read to him, and tells him so many hilarious jokes. Kakyoin and Jotaro include him in games and are very accommodating of his needs.

He ends up super protective of them and is so torn when Dio, the person he looks up to the most, the first man to ever see worth in him, is clearly hurting his friends, and grows more and more worried as Jotaro gets sicker... and soon he has to decide between turning a blind eye (heh) to his friends' abuse and staying loyal to Dio, or helping his friends escape, and getting abandoned and killed by Dio...

Oooooooooo this could be fun to play around with. While Dio probably would have gotten some different adult Users than canon because of the time change, it would make a lot of sense for him to pick up some younger Stand Users who to be not in the best situations

Actually, this would also give a certain amount of logic to Polanreff and Kakyoin’s kidnappings too beyond Plot. Polnareff didn’t have any parents around and lived in the country with only Sherry, and it’s canon that Kakyoin was a very lonely child.

Heck, maybe there were a couple more kids as well, like perhaps a young Oingo and his infant brother, or the Darby Brothers in their early and mid teens or Hol Horse in his late teens and starting off as a mercenary.

And in the earlier days, things are….. not fine, but not awful. Jotaro’s healthy and eager to learn how to get stronger, Polanreff and Kakyoin are allowed to roam the mansion halls, training is simple manifestation practice, and the kids are allowed to socialize and have fun

But then Jotaro starts getting sick. It’s not much at first, just some dizziness and a slight temperature. Dio pulls him aside for more training and he can’t play for as long without resting, but nothing the others can’t accommodate.

Then it gets worse. Then Dio and Vanilla start to get angry. Then they become forbidden to see Jotaro. They can still interact with each other, but the the Trio are strictly off limits

They do like Dio, some of them even love him. He saved most of them from terrible situations they wouldn’t have been able to leave otherwise.

But at the same time…… they can’t erase the bubbling doubt and discomfort. And they don’t know what to do
