They call her Ms Tibbs!
Here is the official description KIM TIBBS proudly presents the highly anticipated album THE SCiENCE OF COMPLETiON VOLUME 1. Recorded at the legendary Royal Studios in Memphis, TN, USA and co-produced by Lawrence Boo Mitchell, son of the late great Willie Mitchell. Twenty five musicians played their part on this project and have created the most authentic 70s soul you will ever hear in 21st century music, attention to detail even went as far as retrieving Al Green’s microphone from the original Hi sessions to enhance that vintage sound! The lead 7” single WHERE WOULD I BE WITHOUT YOU? released in the Spring of 2022 sold out on pre-order and created a buzz of what is to follow. As well as receiving extensive radio plays, WHERE WOULD I BE WITHOUT YOU? appeared on many DJ playlists at soul events around the U.K. and beyond. The eleven original songs penned by Kim herself are a soundtrack to her life, covering a range of themes such as love, hope and faith. A word of warning though, there’s a goodly number of long compositions on this album – their depth, beauty and intricacies simply cannot be edited – hence a double vinyl LP!
Here is the HOBO description
SOUL ALBUM OF THE YEAR STUNNING BUY IT KEEP THE FAITH!

Beautiful key art of six of our main mates from Season Two, courtesy of Ben King's website!
On Sunday afternoon, just before Greed And Fear made its telly debut, my mum and I finished Season Two on ABC iView. I still mourn the fact that we lost the six week roll out and I felt that pressure to rush through the season purely to avoid spoilers, hence the reason I have been absent from Tumblr this week, but oh my goodness.
I am abiding to my no future episode spoilers conduct here, to be fair to everyone. But what I wanted to say was WOW. This season has been nothing that I could have predicted, aside from some of the real life historical references influencing the direction of the show. The ability of the writers, the actors, to challenge our perceptions and add flaws to characters that we love, and give us more empathy and understanding for characters that we have historically disliked in Season One, it's beyond incredible. I definitely feel as though my brain was rewired through this season.
The bravery to take the show in frightening, more harrowing directions, to not resort to easy choices and options for all the characters, even the characters who got "happy ever afters" still have that layer of nuance of imperfections that still exist within that dimension that they are now occupying. I have been challenged in ways that I could never have anticipated with some of the storytelling decisions this season, but we will all be richer for it. Because stories are always richer when risks and unexpected twists are taken, and this show has catapulted into a brand new space for me.
I can't begin to tell you how proud I am to be a fan of this extraordinary show, to help further tell these stories, and more importantly, even more proud of the incredible team behind the show. They have DONE. THEIR. JOB. How brilliant to see an Australian story so carefully constructed and so well received by viewers everywhere.
AND! In another unexpected twist, Season Three was confirmed today! The welcomed chaos of Season Two will truly get the chance to be further explored, and looks like you're stuck with me and my fangirling shenanigans for another couple of years! 😂 Well done, Team Newsreader, well bloody done! 💖📺🌟🇦🇺📰🎥

🎵 Miss Oranje Disco Dancer
3. "Either way -- something to consider."
KIM KITSURAGI - "We can't go after Looskap. Not yet. There are other, saner leads."
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "I don't ask you to, lieutenant. If there's one thing I know it's that you'll get *nothing* from there."
7. "Why did you call the cops if you're hiding?"
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "Because I'm an *idiot*." The answer comes fast.
REACTION SPEED [Easy: Success] - Which *is* an indicator of truth...
LOGIC [Medium: Success] - Idiot? She's nothing of the sort.
"So you would have us believe. But you're not."
"I don't think so. Why did you do it?"
"I'm not gonna disagree with you."
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "You have to understand -- the people around here... No one was making the call, and he kept rotting. And then they picked his clothes off. And that little fucker threw stones at him..."
COMPOSURE [Medium: Success] - Her jaw is clenched. Her throat moves. It takes all her strength not to cave in and sob... once... just one time...
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "He kept throwing stones at him for *three days*. I could hear the *thud*, *thud*..." She shakes her head. "So I called you. I hope with all my heart it's not the last thing I do in Revachol."
DRAMA [Easy: Success] - She definitely called the cops. That was *task complete*. It could not hath been a *lie*. That is impossible.
VOLITION [Easy: Success] - Oh god. That was a lie too. Who made the call then?
LOGIC [Medium: Success] - She did, of course.
SUGGESTION [Easy: Success] - Don't be *paranoid*, man. It's unbecoming of a police officer -- and it makes you sweat.
8. "When was the window changed?" (Point to it.)
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "Last week. Angus and Titus's brother -- I think he's called Tibbs -- took care of it." She takes a drag.
VISUAL CALCULUS [Easy: Success] - You should have another look at that window after this -- reconstruct the scene. It's right there.
In her bedroom, inside?
Not now…
VISUAL CALCULUS - Yes -- you see the glass sparkling out of the corner of your eye...
9. "I think we're done here -- for now." (Conclude.)
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - She nods, silently. She doesn't even smoke, just picks up the cold coffee and holds it in her hands.
KIM KITSURAGI - "Uhm..." The lieutenant glances at you -- then at the door.
ESPRIT DE CORPS [Easy: Success] - He's thinking -- *are* we done here?
VOLITION [Trivial: Success] - ...or should we arrest her? She's a flight risk and she lied to you -- she should be taken into custody.
DRAMA [Easy: Success] - No. That won't be necessary. Just leave her alone, she's been through enough. She doesn't need this... police brutality.
VOLITION - This guy won't budge. You have to wake Multi-Face up -- forcefully -- if you want to continue pushing her.
I leave the dialogue so I can save, but...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
INLAND EMPIRE - As you look back you think: So love did *do him in* after all.
I was right...
[Discard thought.]
INLAND EMPIRE - If it weren't for her he would not have been there. The shot would not have connected with his soft palate...
+5 XP
(Turn to Klaasje.) "Looks like love did him in after all."
[Finish thought.]
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - She's silent, holding on to her coffee mug. No vapour rises from it -- it's cold.
INLAND EMPIRE - Remember this silence. The lady is dangerous. People suffer around her.
VOLITION [Trivial: Success] - It appears this one has *not* been entirely corrupted... this may help. This may help the others see.
2. Say nothing. Let her answer.
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "Yeah..." she finally breaks the silence. "I'd like to think he didn't *love* me. Or that it was chemically-induced and not real."
"Why?"
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "Easier that way." She takes a sip."
3. "Was it? Real?"
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "I don't know..." She looks down at the yard -- then back into her coffee.
EMPATHY [Medium: Success] - Real as anything.
4. [Finish thought.]
Ok, back to Klaasje.
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "Hello, officer." Legs crossed, she leans back against the railing. "What brings you up here again?"
[Drama - Legendary 14] In god's name, *wake up*!
Tumblr media
+3 Manipulating your skillset! +1 *Clearly* lied about the bullet. +1 The love that did him in. +1 Lied about Lely enjoying death. +1 Semen sample avoidance. +1 Lied about making the call?
Tumblr media
DRAMA [Legendary: Success] - Who... what? Dear lord, you've been lied to. She could have killed her lover and lied to everyone! She's not the most *faire and juste* at all, she's smoke and mirrors and will-o-wisps!
She probably didn't give you her real name either -- why would she? Arrest her immediately, before she further entangles you in her *web of lies*!
VOLITION [Easy: Success] - Take it easy. Don't overcompensate with this *course correction*. Ask questions first...
RHETORIC [Medium: Success] - Yes. Start at the top, choose at the bottom, it's how we've always done it. No rush...
DRAMA - See?!
(Turn to the lieutenant.) "Kim, why have we not *arrested* her yet?"
"Devil woman…"
"You know -- I think you *didn't* make that call to the station."
"Your real name isn't Klaasje Amandou."
"What if I told you you're under arrest, miss."
"Let's change the subject. For the time being." (Conclude.)
KIM KITSURAGI - "There may be grounds here... At least for an extended detention."
VOLITION [Formidable: Success] - This bastion of willpower here -- his watchmen have been sleeping too, you can be absolutely certain now. But he's coming around.
PERCEPTION (HEARING) [Easy: Success] - A little whimper. The young woman hears you. She's looking around.
2. "Devil woman..."
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "What?" Her nails tap on the steel railing, nervously. The sound of cold metal ringing under the wind.
COMPOSURE [Medium: Success] - Her hand trembles. She's only pretending she didn't hear you say *devil woman*.
3. "You know -- I think you *didn't* make that call to the station."
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "I *did*." She takes a step forward. "What is this? I called your *desk*, or whatever it is. The numbers are all over town: 'Call 8-100-2 for Emergencies'."
"There was an older woman on the other end. It sounded like she was smoking. She took my complaint. She coughed."
ENCYCLOPEDIA [Easy: Success] - That *is* the Emergencies Desk number...
DRAMA - Anyone could know that, sire. By looking around and calling the desk. I don't believe a single word she says!
KIM KITSURAGI - "What time did you make the call?"
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "Thursday night. It was late. Some time after twelve."
KIM KITSURAGI - The lieutenant nods in your direction: "It checks out."
"Anyone could know the number. And that someone coughed -- it means nothing."
Say nothing.
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "But I know the *time* of the call too!" She breathes in. "I know I have not been 100% truthful with you, officers. But I *am* now."
EMPATHY [Medium: Success] - You sense a little hesitation there -- or maybe even fear? The stress was on the wrong syllable.
DRAMA - Welcome to the wake-up club, brother.
4. "Your real name isn't Klaasje Amandou."
KIM KITSURAGI - "I agree." The lieutenant turns to her. "You wouldn't give us your real name -- not when people are after you."
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "Okay." Her voice cracks suddenly -- like there's a garrotte around her neck.
"'Okay' what?"
"We don't need to do this." (Back off.)
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "Okay -- it's not."
"You admit to it!"
"I knew it."
"Good. You can tell me the truth."
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "You log your work *every week*. It's *all* transmitted to COMINSUR. I couldn't just beg you not to enter my name... So I lied."
"Like I lied before. Like I did at LCSB... I have to lie *all the time*." She looks at her hands, her fingernails are chipped white. "I'm so tired of it."
"Was the passport bullshit too? That passport you keep hidden?"
"Tell me your real name."
"You're probably not even Miss Oranje '37, are you?"
"Enough." (Conclude.)
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "No, it's submerged in a plastic buoy on the coast, in the reeds. It just... doesn't say Klaasje Amandou. It says Annouk Meijer-Smit."
KIM KITSURAGI - "Falsified documents?"
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "Passport and visa." She nods. "Given to me by my employer. I can't even use them. My employer probably leaked the name -- Meijer-Smit -- to hurt me."
KIM KITSURAGI - "Why would they do that?"
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "I didn't show up to a rendezvous. They don't take that *lightly*." She rushes to explain: "I didn't show up because I was afraid they'd... do something to me. The job was finished -- I'm just a liability now."
EMPATHY [Easy: Success] - She fears an arrest right here and now. This has been an awful turn of events for her.
2. "Where is this buoy?"
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "West of the boardwalk -- in the reeds -- on the coast there." She points toward a clump of ruins on the western horizon. "I put it there when I first arrived. Haven't been there since. I'm not sure I could even find it now..."
"It's useless."
SHIVERS [Challenging: Success] - The wind rises. So do the hairs on your back. Somewhere West, small bubbles rise from a plastic ball floating in the water -- rusty, the colour of over-steeped tea.
What's happening?
Shake your head.
SHIVERS - Long, spindly arms are spinning the buoy around, turning it, inspecting it like a magic eight-ball, trying to find a way to snap it open...
NOTHING IS USELESS.
+5 XP
"West of the boardwalk, in the reeds? We have to check this buoy out." (Accept task.)
"Fine. Tell me one more thing." (Move on.)
KIM KITSURAGI - The lieutenant makes a note of it.
New task: Inspect Klaasje's buoy
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "You're welcome to it. It's in the reeds northwest of here, past a broken sewage pipe. Right near the waterline."
3. "Tell me your real name."
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "It's Katarzine Alasije." The smile on her face is timid -- almost painfully so.
+5 XP
ENCYCLOPEDIA [Medium: Success] - It's a Graad name -- Zsiemsk or Yugo-Graad in origin -- not Occidental at all. Smells of motor oil, taiga, economic desolation, and rock music infused alcoholism.
"Hold on, Katarzine Alasije is not an Oranjese name, is it? It's not even Mundi. It's *Graad*."
"Finally we meet, Katarzine Alasije." (Proceed.)
"I'll keep calling you Klaasje. "(Proceed.)
"I'll just call you Miss Oranje Disco Dancer." (Proceed.)
Say nothing. (Proceed.)
KLAASJE (MISS ORANJE DISCO DANCER) - "My parents were Zsiemsk immigrants, but I'm nationalized. Oranjese. All I remember is Oranje." She's silent. "Alasije is my father's name."
+5 XP
Level up!

|| “Ring, ring, why don’t you give me a call?”
||| Ten characters from The Newsreader coolly, cutely or enigmatically chatting down the line for our aesthetically pleasing viewing pleasure
Inspired by an Instagram post I saw of characters from the old Australian 80’s soap Sons And Daughters answering telephones in their wonderfully period appropriate outfits, I thought I’d do the same for our Newsreader mates and hates! 😉
Which telephone are you digging? Rob’s orange payphone looks very delicious to me, but in relation to the home phones, I’d have Val’s green one in a heartbeat. 💖

This coin operated viewer has been banged up, inoperable.
Tumblr media
To: Roundabout North
To: Capeside apts, Martinaise pier
Tumblr media
The ad reads: 'Broken Window? Tibbs has windows!'
Tumblr media
You hear the distant squall of seabirds.
Tumblr media
"C'mon... (hic) the night's still young."
Attempting to talk to this sleeping drunk will only net a single sentence of random dialogue. However...
Tumblr media
We can take this plastic bag.
Tumblr media
This plastic bag has "Frittte" (sic!) written on it in a dynamic, forceful manner that implies great prices. As you crack it open a malty gust of air flies in your face. Smells of yeast and beer. A perfect place for tare!
Tumblr media
Equipping the bag allows us to pick up tare, which we can take to Frittte in exchange for small change.
Tumblr media
A splatter of bullet holes lines the wall.
Tumblr media
COIN-OPERATED VIEWER - This coin-operated viewer is facing southwest. Its coin-slot is full of fossilized bubblegum, rendering the machine permanently inaccessible.
"Poor little viewer..." (Pat it.)
"Vandalism." (Shake your head.)
Look inside.
[Leave.]
COIN-OPERATED VIEWER - The metal feels cold and wet under your palm. It looks unhygienic.
2. "Vandalism." (Shake your head.)
KIM KITSURAGI - "Probably some kids..." The lieutenant inspects the rigged slot.
3. Look inside.
COIN-OPERATED VIEWER - A thick layer of graffito covers the lenses -- you spell out the word "ONUC" written on the other side -- with N and C scribbled backwards.
Shift your focus to the background.
COIN-OPERATED VIEWER - Under the graffito a sea of blues and greys appears -- behind the water lies a coast studded with concrete and reeds. On it -- a church on stilts, lanky weather-worn wooden planks, an x-shaped cross topping its tower.
INLAND EMPIRE [Medium: Success] - The church looks old and weather-worn. There are no lights in the windows.
4. [Leave.]
Tumblr media
COIN-OPERATED VIEWER - This coin-operated viewer is facing South. The instruction manual says to insert twenty five *centims* and pull the handle while looking inside, then use the focus knob to zoom in if necessary.
We do need money, but... it's 25 cents.
COIN-OPERATED VIEWER - Your money disappears into the coin-slot. A clunk, the ring of metal...
Pull the handle and look inside.
COIN-OPERATED VIEWER - The curtains on the display open. You lean in to catch the view -- it's blurry, different blues and greens. In the middle of the shimmer stands a drab grey shape, like a ghost.
Turn the knob to focus your vision.
+5XP
COIN-OPERATED VIEWER - The lenses shift, the ghost sharpens into an islet in the bay. In the ruins a man-made structure is visible: a half-sunken sea-fort, its concrete almost reconquered by nature.
It looks as if it was abandoned quite some time ago, nothing but a rotten tooth remains of the anti-aircraft tower. A lonely birch tree grows out of it.
EMPATHY [Medium: Success] - Its leaves ripped from it by the winter wind...
"Hang in there, little one..."
"There are ruins of some kind of building there..."
[Leave.]
COIN-OPERATED VIEWER - The little brave birch-tree seems to wave back in the wind.
2. "There are ruins of some kind of building there..."
KIM KITSURAGI - "Really? I don't have the eyesight to make it out..." The lieutenant takes off his glasses and cleans them.
3. [Leave.]
Tumblr media
A lonely cormorant surveys the sea, indifferent to your approach.
