You'll notice Alfred's is more modern and detailed, reflecting how he is the one advancing the kingdom in technological ways (hence the robotic looking gloves), and it being a suit shows how he is the one handling diplomatic/foreign relations as he is the more charismatic of the two. On the other hand, Ivan's outfit is more subtle yet traditionally regal, reflecting how he is the one keeping the kingdom grounded to its culture and traditions and not letting them become too absorbed with the future, remembering to honor the past as well. His being a military hussar jacket also shows how he is the more ruthless(?) one, handling military and surveillance around the kingdom. I also wanted Alfred to be in clothes he can move more easily in, because true to his roots as a commoner, he moves in a fun and playful way that didn't indicate at all he was royalty. He's also more active (belligerent LMAO) because of his past as an assassin, while Ivan is the more elegant one.

Philippe's Secret Wedding!

This morning, on the steps of Cordelia Palace in Oasis Springs, during a press conference, Crown Prince Philippe De La Cru announced that just a few short days ago, he was married to Lady Octavia Castellano.

The pair appeared together in front of Cordelia Palace to tell their story and why it was such a secret affair:

"We have been engaged for a few months now, and Octavia has been staying here in Oasis Springs with my mother since the start of the war," The Crown Prince began. "We were always going to get married, and Octavia was already living here. We thought, why not just get married now?"

"Of course, there were other... more sinister reasons," Lady Octavia- or should we say, the new Crown Princess Consort, added. "As the public is well aware, my father is a close friend and trusted ally of Emperor Victor of Windenburg, and therefore, I was thought of as a pawn- to be married to whomever the Emperor needed to secure an alliance with. I ran away, here to Oasis Springs, where Philippe and his family have protected me ever since. But with Windenburgian law, I was still my father's property until I married..."

"...I wanted to be free, to be with the man I have loved since High School, so Philippe and I agreed, we would get married the next time he was on leave."

The pair further explained they had the permission of Philippe's parents- King Ivan and Queen Anastasia De La Cru. In fact, the King and Queen were the witnesses for the ceremony performed at the Oasis Church In The Rocks- the very same church where the King and Queen had been married all those years ago.

Crown Princess Octavia's wedding ring is a simple, art-deco style diamond on a thin gold band, surrounded by smaller diamonds. Crown Prince Philippe stated that he had the ring made specifically for Octavia, instead of choosing something from the royal vault.

Finally, the couple shared a few photos taken at Cordelia Palace, after the ceremony at the church, to let everyone share in their big day:

Eagle-eyed royal watchers will note a familiar piece of jewelry on the new Crown Princess' head- Queen Anastasia's wedding tiara! It seems like HM showed her approval of the match by gifting her wedding tiara to Octavia to wear on her big day. How sweet!
