Homra has an advantage with Kingbook, in that they actually want their King to friend them XD Imagine Totsuka finding out about this from Munakata and he thinks it would be fun, he probably even makes a little Homra group for planning beach trips and such. Mikoto obviously has no interest in setting up any kind of profile so Totsuka helpfully takes care of that for him (I imagine Totsuka asking permission by just tossing in a ‘hey, can I make your profile for you’ while Mikoto’s half asleep and taking Mikoto’s ‘whatever’ shrug as an enthusiastic yes). 

Except of course since Mikoto doesn’t even look at his profile this causes something of a complex in his clansmen, imagine Yata giving Mikoto these sad puppy looks and finally Totsuka asks him what’s wrong. Yata tries to play it off like he’s not really upset but…he sent Mikoto-san a friend request nearly a week ago and Mikoto didn’t respond, is he mad at Yata did Yata do something wrong. Totsuka assures him that it’s fine, King is just slow. Totsuka promptly pulls up Mikoto’s profile and sees that basically the entire clan has tried to friend Mikoto and Totsuka sighs, pulling a face as he settles down to approve each and every one of these requests so that no one has a nervous breakdown.

After this I kinda imagine Totsuka as official handler of Mikoto’s Kingbook profile he decides wouldn’t it be fun to use his powers for evil sometimes, just to keep everyone on their toes. Like imagine him playing with Mikoto’s relationship status, putting ‘it’s complicated’ and the whole clan is worrying about it for a good week, like is Mikoto-san dating someone or did he have a breakup or is the Blue King behind this. Kusanagi is the only one aware that Totsuka’s doing this and has to remind him to stop playing with the clansmen, like please don’t leave a comment about ‘trimming the friends list,’ I’m tired of everyone coming into my bar trying to suck up to Mikoto so he won’t unfriend them.

kingbook(or twitter- apparently x now??) au homra and scepter 4 are getting more competitive about how many followers their "offical clan page" (because obviously the one with the most followers r clearly superior) and start advertising their pages in the weirdest ways to random people on the street to try and beat the other clan

Munakata is absolutely handing out fliers on the street to random people, requesting they please follow the official S4 social media page. Continuing on the last ask, after the Ashinaka students get invited to Kingbook it starts expanding beyond the Kings and clans, even normal people are impressed by how easy to use and non-annoying this particular social media site is (because it’s financed by S4’s unlimited government budget so they don’t need to make money, and Fushimi designed it so it’s made for user friendliness and efficiency rather than algorithms or the whims of a whiny baby billionaire who’s never been told no). As it happens with all the new people joining their site the official Homra page in particular has been getting a lot of hits, Totsuka had a lot of fun designing it so it looks really cool.

At some point Totsuka mentions how pleased he is with their popularity when Munakata is in earshot, like Totsuka was out running errands with Mikoto and Munakata just so happened to run into them. Munakata expresses interest that people outside of the Red clan are following Homra’s clan page, Totsuka says well it’s to be expected, Scepter 4 has surely seen the same right. Munakata doesn’t reply and Mikoto grins, so you’re still unpopular huh Munakata. Munakata says he is not concerned with such things but as soon as he gets back it’s time for a clan meeting to decide how they will make their page more appealing to the common public. 

The squad are initially not all that interested, no one thinks it’s really that big a deal that no one follows their official page. Munakata is super intense about it though, imagine him asking Fushimi to add fun videos and enjoyable games to the page, like what if we added sparkling text and calming music that plays while the page is open (“that is the opposite of appealing, Captain’). The S4 guys think maybe Munakata is overdoing this, right up until they run into the Homra alphabet who make a comment about how they’re more popular than S4 after all. Now suddenly it’s war, as the squad realize they can’t just let their clan be beaten by Homra. The squad immediately start discussing how they can get their page more followers, Doumyouji says they just have to go viral right. Cue all of S4 making videos in an attempt to go viral, Munakata is super supportive of this while Awashima suggests that this is all very nice but do they really need to jump off the chandelier.

Meanwhile Homra are all having a good laugh about the Blue clan being so intent over something silly like a web page…right up until Akagi brings up S4’s page to see how things are going and realizes that S4 now has more followers than Homra does. They can’t let this stand obviously, it will be a blow to Homra’s pride if they lose to those nerds. Yata is totally hyped up about this too, imagine him skateboarding around the city putting up pictures of Homra’s mark with their web address. Kusanagi is convinced to print the address on business cards to be handed out at the bar, while Fujishima gets the idea to tie the cards around the necks of stray cats and set them loose in the city (this works until Benzai finds a card and decides two can play at this game, releasing his own cats with S4 cards). Imagine both clans keep jockeying for first place, each now convinced that losing will be a mark against their clan and their King, determined to be victorious in the arena of social media public opinion.
