來到薩摩亞的第四天

大夥兒熱情迎接我們的到來，用傳統方式準備烤乳豬、芋頭、麵包果…等食物，基地尊榮教會牧者邀請六個家庭來聚餐，當地舞蹈及熱情方式真是讓人難忘！

這裡的天氣炙熱，飲食非常簡單樸素，每天只能洗冷水澡，最大的困擾就是有許多的蒼蠅及蚊子驗身旁圍繞，在地民眾養豬養雞所傳送出來的瘴氣四處飄送，當然還少不了天還未亮大聲鳴亮的雞叫聲。

這裡的傳教士栽種菜蔬、養魚、養雞及養豬自給自足供給食物，雖是熱帶太平洋小島，但日夜溫差很大，最棒的美景就是晚上抬頭就可以望見的滿天南十字星空。在這個未曾有過戰爭摧殘的第三世界，島上的居民充滿熱情，人人以家庭為中心並且彼此照顧。

我們主要的工作就是每週一至週五早上協助基地運作，來自台灣的我加入種菜拔草團隊，彷彿回到以前在南投鄉下農忙的生活方式。乾淨的飲水一直外地人在島上較難適應的問題，我們需走路特地去買水，在這裡喝的水都是未經任何過濾或未煮過的雨水，求神保守我們在這邊的時間都能健康。

七月七日到十七日這十天的時間，由我們與學生一起運作Kingskids基地的兒童事工，小孩子與我們一起吃住生活。有位學生原是摩門教徒，禱告已使那欺哄人心的靈離開他，他已信主歸入主的名下，目前透過門徒訓練在耶穌的眷顧下繼續成長。同時也禱告聖靈能運行在這些孩子們的心裡，讓基地裡的DTS學生們來繼續經歷神。

求神幫助我們更多地融入基地生活及參與兒童事工外，讓我們知道如何向薩摩亞檔地人傳遞福音真理。
