Any Hallmark holiday au’s for Kristy, Tristan & Logan?

OH okay I have an idea and you inspired it (you’ll understand why in two seconds I promise!)

Kirsty Gilmore had once been the biggest name in ballet, starting her professional career at sixteen and dancing with some of the biggest ballets in the world. But at only twenty-two, a rare heart defect had forced her into retirement and out of the public eye. She settled back into life in her hometown, working at her step-father’s diner, helping at her mom’s inn, and starting up her own baking career. She had lost contact with most of her friends from town, and most of the rest of her friends had no idea where she’d wound up after dropping off the grid. But it was okay, she was happy.

For lifelong friends Tristan and Logan, uniting their family businesses had just been logical. It highlighted their individual strengths, kept them accountable to someone, and allowed for several riskier business moves. Including, hopefully, buying out Stars Hollow. They had a big picture plan in mind for the small town, but there were two locations that were absolutely key to their plan. Luke’s diner, the perfect location for offices, and the Dragonfly Inn, the town’s primary selling point. But trying to talk to either owner had been useless — Luke Danes had simply hung up on them, and Lorelai Gilmore (so much like the daughters that Tristan had once known) had simply talked so many circles around them that it wasn’t until she’d hung up that they realized she’d never answered their question. So, the obvious solution, they would simply go to Stars Hollow themselves in order to talk to them.

The last thing that either of them had expected when they walked into Luke’s diner, three days before Christmas, was to be greeted by Kirsty Gilmore. Tristan’s first — and only — love, who he’d lost contact with when she dropped out of their junior year in order to take her ballet career more seriously. And Kirsty, just as stubborn and stunning as Tristan remembers, has no plans of letting her beloved home become just another corporate exploit. Will she be able to show the two businessmen the wonder and value of a town like Stars Hollow?

Premise: Kirsty x Jess AU; what if Tristan did go to military school?  Follows the plot of Gilmore Girls with moderate variations

Summary: When Tristan was sent to military school, he made Kirsty promise that she would move on, that she would think about her own happiness for once.  And she had tried.  Over the next few months, she’d found herself growing closer and closer to Jess, until the accident.  His sudden departure brought an abrupt end to whatever could have been growing between them.

Even after her blowout fight with Lorelai, she’d hoped that a summer on Broadway would be exactly what she needed to keep her promise, to clear her head and hit reset, but it was proving to be just the opposite. Exhausted, lonely, and ready to pack up and give in, Kirsty is quickly losing faith in New York.

That is, until something — fate, a panic attack, a thunderstorm, a lack of any clean clothes, take your pick — led her into a small diner and Jess Mariano’s arms.  

Title: The Girl Who Drove Away

Premise: After high school graduation, Kirsty and Jess leave Stars Hollow for their own Great American Road Trip, canon divergent after season 3

Season(s): 3 onwards

Love Interest: Jess Mariano

Summary: Kirsty Gilmore had always had her life planned out.  She would dance whenever the opportunity presented itself, graduate high school at the top of her class, go to Yale — majoring in dance studies, then going to law school — and work for the New York ballet for as long as her body would let her.  It was written in her DNA: she would get her early decision for Yale and the sickening ball of anxiety in her gut would unravel, she would get away from the judging eyes of Chilton and the harsh criticisms of both her parents and grandparents, she would finally get her fresh start.

But when she crossed the stage with her high school diploma in hand, Jess gave her a new option.  Get in the car and just go.  He was going to follow his father out to California, stick around the West Coast for as long as it worked out.  He was going to live his own On The Road, have his great American road trip, write the next great American novel.  And the passenger seat had her name written on it.  All she had to do was take the risk.  She could be mad, she could chase the sun, she could finally find freedom.  All she had to do was get in the car and go.

It should have been an easy decision.  After all, she was the valedictorian, and the valedictorian goes to college.

But, what if she doesn’t?

He was expecting the stuck up rich kids, the condescending teachers, and even the bullshit social ladder.  He wasn’t expecting the whirlwind that was Kirsty Gilmore.

Premise: august au

Love Interest: Jess Mariano

Summary: When Tristan left for military school, Kirsty found her eyes — and thoughts — wandering towards Jess Mariano.  She knew that nothing would come of it, he only had eyes for Rory, but she couldn’t stop herself from hoping.  Then came the car accident — which was not Jess’ fault, no matter what her mother might say — and Jess left, and Kirsty said goodbye to that hope.  But when she found herself in New York, stumbling into Jess’ diner, her hope came back.  And when she found herself in his bed, she no longer needed to hope.

Summer was everything she could have wanted.  It was almost too good to be true, really, but she knew that it would have to end.  After all, she was going back to Stars Hollow, and as far as she knew, Jess wasn’t.She should have been excited to be proven wrong.  She would have been excited, if she hadn’t found out by seeing him making out with Shane in the middle of town; if he hadn’t gone right back to only having eyes for Rory.

At least she still had the memories, but memory might not be enough to make up for the hurt she felt.

When Kirsty called Jess, she’d only been planning to confirm that she was home and — mostly — okay.  She hadn’t expected to break down in tears when he’d asked how she was, to tell him that her fractured ankle had killed her shot at a Broadway role, or to confess to how desperately she wanted to be away from Christopher, away from her mother.  

Neither of them had anticipated that Jess would drive up from New York, knocking on her window in the middle of the night with an offer of freedom, an invitation to get in the passenger’s seat of his car and just... leave.

And they definitely hadn’t expected that she would say yes.

“So, I’ve been thinking about names,” Kirsty said, as soon as Tristan entered the apartment.

Immediately, three heads turned to her.

“I thought you wanted to wait for the next ultrasound to start brainstorming?” Tristan said, once Logan had turned the TV off.

Kirsty shrugged as best as she could from where she was sprawled across the couch, head in Jess’ lap.

“I know, I know... but fetus kicked for the first time today,” she explained, “and it just...  I don’t know, it clicked.”

“What are you thinking?” Logan asked, giving Tristan a chaste kiss when the other blond joined him on the loveseat.

Kirsty sat up, leaning against Jess, who immediately wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

“I... if you don’t like it, that’s okay.  It’s kind of personal, and it shouldn’t just be my decision so like, please don’t say okay just to keep me happy or whatever.”

“I should—” Jess moved to stand, but Kirsty pulled him back down.

“You’re our family, Jess, I want your opinion too.  Actually like... I really need you here to tell me if it’s a terrible idea.”

“What is it?” Tristan prompted.

“Luke.  Well, Lucas.  Or Lucy, but I have a feeling it’ll be a Lucas.  Or not a Lucas, if you don’t like it.  Or if you,” she glanced up at Jess, “think he’ll hate it.”

“He won’t hate it,” Jess promised.  “He might cry, but he won’t hate it.”

“I think it’s perfect,” Tristan agreed, and Logan nodded beside him.  “Lucas Gilmore-Dugray-Huntzberger?”

Jess snorted.  “I’m glad you have a first name, but you seriously need to figure out the last name situation.”
