Honestly I think one of the funniest things you can do with a hermitcraft/life series Naruto au is to NOT make Etho Kakashi, but still not really change his outfit. The tied-for-second funniest things you can do with it being making Joel Sakura and/or making Grian be Gaara

keeping with Black Star's theme of monsters from japanese folklore, we have Tsubaki as a shapeshifting Kitsune! i thought this creature would suit her perfectly, given her own ability to take on many weapon forms and how important her traditionally japanese background is to her character.

for her outfit, i wanted to go for a more modern, stylish approach, while showing plenty of her kitsune traits and keeping to a relatively condensed, yet really pretty colour palette. all of those purples, pale pinks, reds, and gold look so gorgeous on her; and for as much as i initially struggled with getting her design right, i'm very happy with the end result.

and so that concludes the character design portion for this crossover! i'm not quite done with this crossover just yet and i would very much like to draw these designs again, so expect the full line up very soon and more art for this in the near future! this was so fun and i greatly appreciate all of the positive feedback i've received on this project! ♡

So sometimes I do historical research for things just for fun..

Extremely rough concepts of Edo era commedia del'arte ideas I've had pickling in my head for a while.

I listened to Moliere play recordings for the first time this past year and while listening to Tartuffe and The Misanthrope and only thought of how much I wanted an edo adaptation.

Anyway while I know some western art history I don't know a lot of theater history (either Japanese or Italian). So this was just me guessing. Pantalone and Dotore could be gender blind roles. I have no idea how I would approach the servant characters though. Maybe Arlecchino can be kitsune themed??

Anyway just putting this here so I don't loose my thoughts.

The Finals is fun so far (ignoring the match I had with a team mate who didn't play) but man the monetisation for cosmetics sucks.

Everything besides some earnable basic cosmetics cost premium credits, which have almost no methods to earn for free, and you can't buy individual outfit pieces. So if you want to mix and match you need to buy multiple outfits. There goes my drip dreams
