Deserved Better Prelims: Kluer (This Love Doesn't Deserve Long Beans)

"First off, he's the chef's sous chef (so he's basically the second in command), but when the chef decided to leave, it never even crossed his mind to hand it down to his SOUS CHEF! And then when the chef decides the better option is to hold a contest to win the restaurant and sees that Kleur is in the running, he doesn't think "oh, he has the funds to purchase, and knows exactly how I want the place to be run. I should give him the restaurant." No, he goes through the whole process of running this contest. Then on the other side of things, he develops a crush on Plawan, because it's Pon. Of course you are gonna crush on this man. So he asks for permission from the chef to attempt to woo Plawan because he can see what is happening in the restaurant. And even though the chef said it was cool or whatever, he still tries to stop Kluer from seeing things through at every stop. And to top everything off, the final competition between Kluer and Plawan was rigged. Plawan tried to fail the competition *because of reasons* he still won because he was sleeping with the chef. So Kluer also purposely made a dish that would lose, because he knew he was going to lose. Because, going back to the beginning, he has been the chef's sous chef for years. The chef could've given him the restaurant at any point in time and didn't. So he deserves so much better."

He reached high levels of pettiness in just one ep. Such a big "Fuck you" to Chef Oab after snitching on his beloved Plawan for breaking his heart in favor of sucking off Chef Oab. Like OabPlawan is really his villain origin story and I welcome Kluer in his villain era. I love it here lmao.

Kao and Kluer were so entertaining as antagonists that I lost track of Metas' subplot — that and his storyline with JJ taking off.

Kluer was probably the best surprise, probably one of the shadiest characters this season wrapped in such unassuming package, kudos to Aon for pulling it off.

kluer always knew that loving oab wouldn't lead anywhere, and no matter what he did to get his attention, nothing would be enough — he wasn't enough to replace khaosuay, it also wasn't enough to replace plawan either.

I love the subtlety of Chef Oab’s attraction to Wan. From the get-go, he is a very tough character to crack. But he isn’t necessarily a jerk to everybody. In fact to own a restaurant, he has to have some good attributes. He is very kind to Kluer and the rest of his staff. He didn’t even get super crazy angry at Methas first spy being ousted. He raised his voice at that man one time and only because the guy didn’t want to leave. When one of the chefs messes up, he doesn’t even yell that bad.

But when it comes to Wan, he gets under his skin so bad. It was so easy for Nubneung to guess that he has a crush on one of the contestants because nobody acts that way about someone they can’t stand. He has had limitless chances to kick Wan out of the contest, but he still hasn’t. If that doesn’t say I low-key want to break some health violations I don’t know what does.

He had tons of occasions to confess to Oab the bs deal he had with Methas but nooooo...and now the big problems are coming...

One of the issues with Plawan is he puts up a front like he doesn't care but he does care. So JJ and Oab think tough love is what he needs but what he really needs is to be believed in. There was such a change in him when Kluer told him he did a good job and just needed practice. Plawan acts arrogant but he seems really insecure and has low self worth. I just think if he had someone telling him more positive things he would be in a much different place in life than he is now.
