I bumped upon this Kawasaki KLX 250 S recently and might keep it around for a while. In weight, it's sort of in between the CRF 250 and 300 I used to own, and the Alp. In power it's closer to the 300 but with less top end, all the grunt is down lown which is great fun offroad.

2023 GW 北海道ツーリング。

先に調べていたタウシュベツ川橋梁への林道入り口の鍵はいっぱいで予約できず。鍵を借りる場所である 道の駅かみしほろ で朝ごはんを食べつつタウシュベツ情報など眺めていたら職員さんが声を掛けてくださって、しかもキャンセルが出て一つだけ林道の鍵があるとのこと。迷うことなく貸し出しお願いして、行けることに。 展望台から見たことはあったけど、至近距離でみるタウシュベツ川橋梁もやはり神々しいものがあった。いうて橋梁を鉄道が通らなくなって放置されてからも70年程度だけれども、もっと長い年月を経ているような重みとかロマンみたいなものを感じることができた。

最近は毎年のように、もう崩落しそうでいまの姿が見られるのは今年が最後かもと言われているようで、この姿が見られたのは良かったし、もし姿が今後変わることがあったらそれはそれでまた見に行かないと。

Took the KLX out on a proper ride in Laon. Good bike! I did swap the tyres for the Michelin Trackers that were on my Alp.

今年のGWはやっと起こせた Kawasaki KLX250 (2002年式) で北海道ツーリングに。早朝に小樽に着くフェリーで到着後、少し小樽市内をまわったり、支笏湖や夕張方面を巡ったり。

支笏湖では綺麗なTriumph TR7 の方と少しお話しさせてもらったり、並べて写真とってもらったりした。

I went to the last long touring this year. This time is also with GSX-1300R “Hayabusa”. I went to "Shiraito Falls“ I passed Mt. Fuji, but it was very cold. I went to Hakone, which is famous for hot springs, and went to a hot spring. And I saw the moment when the sun went down from Jukkokutoge. By the way, this Hayabusa was once white. I replaced the exterior and it turned black.
