Are there any cute or funny Rammstein/Lindemann music video moments that you love?

Two are from Ich Will

The first being when Richard is waltzing with the fainted lady, looking absolutely dead inside. The second is when Till has that one guy against the wall and he just. Looks at him. The sneer as he sees this dude cowering, knowing he won't start shit because holy fuck, man, my soul would leave my body too if I was subjected to that death glare.

The part near the end of Ausländer where all the guys are retiring to one of the huts with a pretty girl clinging to their arm, but Flake refuses because he's Flake and Till pulls a Mr. Steal-Yo-Girl and heads into a hut with Flake's girl in addition to his own like the wild-ass, horny old man he is.

That bit in Knebel where he just. Eats the bug. No hesitation. Nasty rat bastard man.

Another two from Platz Eins

Fuckin'. Peter strutting up and down the stage dressed like David Bowie.

That bit where Till is in the Jean Simmons wingsuit and he's making a sweeping gesture with his arms, a big, fang-toothed grin on his face.

Literally all of Mathematik. From Fraulein Lindemann to Till hotboxing his crappy little car like he owns the whole world.

Have you read any of Till's poems? If so, have you got your favourite ones? And what do you think about them, please?

Yeah, I've read all of On Quiet Nights and a few chunks of Messer that people have translated. I'm planning on getting the German version at some point so I can get a better feel for the actual pace and rhyming and try to work out why some words are translated the way they are: I know some of them are 100% wordplay and don't really work in English.

My favourites, by which I mean the ones I annotated the most, are Slits, Very Lonely With Fish, I Find I am Good and I Am Not Evil. Bigger Better Harder is also really interesting.

Also, I have no idea how common this opinion is, but The Experiment and Slits are extremely reminiscent of The Applicant and Cut by Sylvia Plath, respectively. Black feels almost like he read Acquainted with the Night and wanted to write a companion piece. I wonder if Red Hair has any connection to Lazy Lazarus? There was something that reminded me of Anne Sexton too...

To be clear, those poems reminding me of others isnt a bad thing and I'm not trying to say he stole ideas or whatever you could spin it as. Nothing is unique and it makes sense for Good Art to feel like other Good Art.

I have to assume that we have the democratic process of the band to thank for When Mommy Goes Off Late To Work losing the knickers-sniffing when they made it into Puppe. What I Love (Was Ich Liebe) is also better as a song, but I don't know if it's a translation issue.

I like to imagine that, like during this video about On Quiet Nights, when he wrote some of these he was giggling his arse off imagining people taking it at all seriously. Important springs to mind.

In The Violin there is the line "the keyboard beast promised me fever". There is an interview, I think the one where Till has a black eye, where he says something like 'Flake is a beast, only his friends can say it'. That's from memory it's probably inaccurate but also... is klavier masculine? Because the poem called the piano he when it says it's mouth was open but for some reason I assumed it was neuter

Also he has... So many poems about ugliness, huh? I'm gonna smack him with a copy of the Twits, I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Also part 2: half of them are love poems, most Rammstein songs are love songs, and people still think he's scary.

Day 28 — Favorite Solo Projet

My favorite solo project is Lindemann. One of my favorite anecdotes about this project are the names that were selected before Lindemann was finally chosen. Among these names were: Hints And Cunts (in reference to Hinz und Kunz), Two Red (a pun on the Tourette syndrom), and Pink Ponies. That last one made me laugh the most.

The first album, Skill in Pills, didn't completely convince me, even if I liked the videos. On the other hand, I found the songs performed live, very effective.

The second album, F&M is absolutely brilliant ! Very good whether in terms of music, songs or videos. I'm not surprised that this album is a real hit. And was followed by a sold-out tour. My favorite song is Blut and my favorite video is Knebel.

Now that Till is solo, I'm waiting to see what he has in store for us next. I loved his first single Ich Hasse Kinder (the drums on this track are marvellous). I can't wait to see him live with his new team and his new outfit.

I don't know if it can be considered a solo project or not, but I like the "adventures of Till and Joey Kelly". The photobooks in partnership with National Geographic are wonderful.

Special mention to Flake and his public readings, I would like to better master the German language to be able to participate but these books are a real comfort.

What are the best BTS Till scenes?

In Rosenrot when Till is going through how he's going to stab the parents and he's just the softest ever

In Ohne Dich when he's joking about with Flake, making the sweat comment etc.

When he's talking to the actress in the Ausländer making of and trying so hard to listen and not stare at her breasts. I'm pretty sure he does look but he did try. Also when he helped the kids see the cheetah.

Mein Land when he's like nah this being cheerful and dancing shit isn't for me

Sonne when he's joking about Paul's height

Till being so so shy about having to kiss a woman for Du Riechst so Gut 98. Can you imagine that now? I want to see a making of for Knebel I want to know of he got all shy about it

When he starts melting in the Keine Lust making of. Poor baby. Also when he tears the prosthetic face thing off and looks at the crew like they're aliens.
