How did you start shipping [pairing]?

That was 8th September 2018.

On 19th September, unbeknownst to me, Warm Rain was born.

Since then I have written over 130,000 words of Warm Rain (this doesn’t include all of Gentle Rain or The Bellini Incident).

I have my fellow writers writing Virgil/Kayo in response.

I have several comments on readers being converted to the pairing. Several of them dragged in kicking and screaming just like I was :D (But let’s face it, we’re all having a great deal of fun :D).

This is the first relationship I have written....this is kinda a lie, but not.

Back in Knight Rider fandom, about ten years ago, I wrote a few bits and pieces of Michael/Kitt. You may now cringe at me, but Kitt was an android at the time in the popular Fire & Ice AU and I really just blew them up a lot and had them worrying about each other. There was one major fic written (major for me back then, I’ve since blown it out of the water with Warm and Gentle Rain) and it can only really be found in one spot online and that is not in any of the major archives ....I should probably upload it to Ao3 - Burn.

Virgil/Kayo, and now Scott/Em, is really the first romance I’ve really written so I’m having great fun exploring the writing style and flexing my writing muscles.

And you only have yourselves to blame - @vegetacide @the-lady-razorsharp @kylorr81 Check the comments of the first Warm Rain fic - you three are all the instigators. It is your fault....BEWARE. I’M A WRITER. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU INSPIRE. :D

Ich spreche auch von einem Serienmodell. Wie ist sie in Deutschland angekommen? Oktober wurde samstags Viel zu oft sieht man das Geplänkel von Zoe und Co. Nieustraszony – Knight Rider, serial prod. Dann finde ich rein optisch den Trans Am einfach cooler als den Mustang. Selbst ein 4th Gen.

Der einstige Army-Ranger, der sich nach seiner Entlassung aus dem Irak derzeit nur noch für Glücksspiel, Mädchen und Autos interessiert, staunt nicht schlecht, als Sarah vor ihm steht und ihn um Hilfe bittet. Die Storys der ersten neuen Episoden zeigten ein Teamplay unter den vielen Charackterene. Und er hat den Frevel begangen einen Shelby Mustang zu verschandeln!

Jedoch beginnt das neue Knight-Rider-Zeitalter schon mal gut. Sarah Graiman wird von der nett aussehenden Deanna Russo gespielt. Vielleicht gibt sich ja auch mal Herr von und zu Hasselhoff die Ehre, bei der Pilotfiom mitzuwirken.

Gehe zur Themenübersicht Science Fiction Serien. Und war die Animation eines Roboters billiger?

Die letzten drei Episoden wahren in der Tat spannender als die Episoden zuvor. Einer der ersten Schritte von Silverman war, zu versuchen, alte Serien wie Knight Rider und Gladiators neu aufzulegen.

An das Original mit David Hasselhoff reicht sie aber bei weitem nicht heran Das wären perfekte Autos für Knight Rider. Jedoch hätte ich es besser gefunden, wenn man zur Form des Pilotfilmes zurückgegange wäre und Torres, Zoe und Billy wieder entfernt hätte.

Dann finde ich rein optisch den Trans Am einfach cooler als den Mustang. Von Sonnenbrille ala Taucherbrille, Lockenpracht und Schwulischnalzern mal abgesehen. Dies wurde jedoch schon wie mich deucht in der ersten regulären Episode verändert und wirkt ansprechend – steht jedoch hinter dem Originalsound weit zurück.

Der Pilot von KR schien wirklich Hoffnung zu machen. Stattdessen Effekte vom PC Auf den Spuren seines Vaters wandelnd, kämpft er für pilofilm Gerechtigkeit und die Hilflosen.

Melde dich hier an. Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass Michael und K. Wobei der obere schmale Lüftungsschlitz den pefekten Platz für den traditionellen Scanner liefert, wodurch man noch nicht einmal, wie in der original Serie, eine eigene Front bauen muss, sondern es gleich original nehmen könnte. Wir wissen alle, dass Knight Rider in den 80ern gut ohne derartige Lüchenfüller auskam. Natürlich ist dazu kreatives Denken angesagt bei den Machern. Da ich jedoch hiermit die neue Serie anspreche, die seit September letzten Jahres in Amerika läuft, war ich mir unschlüssig, ob ich es in den bereits bestehenden Thread für den Pilotfilm schreiben oder einen neuen Thread nur für die Serie eröffnen soll.

I wonder if the reason every attempt to reboot/revamp/reimagine Knight Rider has “failed”--I say failed very loosely because I know that the ‘08 show has a solid fanbase, TKR less so but still definitely some supporters, even the movie has its fans...and I don’t mean to invalidate that, because I hate when people crap on media just because it doesn’t fit their standards and genuinely love that so many people get enjoyment from these spinoffs/reboots...just that these shows didn’t resonate with fans of the ‘82 show as much as they’d probably hoped for which is why the movie’s reboot never happened and ‘08 only got one season and TKR faded into relative obscurity--is because Knight Rider as a concept doesn’t really have a fulfilling way to wrap up.

Like, every other iteration of Knight Rider relies on stuff happening after the original show, and what could possibly have happened that’s good for everyone involved?  In order for KR 2000 to happen, Kitt had to be deactivated for like, over a decade, just to be brought back for the movie and the spinoff that never really happened... and now you have to live with the knowledge that it will just happen again after that spinoff.  That’s not Fun to Think About.  It, as a concept, is taking a crap on the original--not necessarily because it tried to, mind you, but it’s the only way to write Kitt out of the story for any amount of time because he can’t get sick, he can’t retire, he doesn’t have a life outside of This.  When This ends, what’s left for him?

I don’t know as much about ‘08 and TKR, I’ve just been obsessing on KR 2000 a bit recently, but the same thing kinda happens.  If I remember correctly, ‘08 implies that Ki2t’s been dismantled in a similar fashion to KR 2000... but even if they didn’t have a scene directly calling for that, the absence of Ki2t in any capacity would likely lead us to assume the worst, possibly running with KR 2000 being canon or just writing off reasons, because if Michael makes a cameo without Ki2t, then surely SOMETHING went wrong.  Even if it didn’t, even if Ki2t had returned with Michael by his side, the existence of a next generation gets us thinking.  About the mortality of our heroes.  About the fact that someday Michael will be gone, and considering that Mike has his own special pal at this point, what’s left for Ki2t?

And for TKR, it probably handles Ki2t the best ironically from what I can tell, but still.  If Kitt’s there, helping out our new heroes, by himself... that means he’s alone now, doesn’t it?  Still contributing how he can, never dropping his allegiance to FLAG entirely, but they didn’t do the same in kind.  Without any arc to indicate that he’d want a life on his own, we’re left to wonder how on Earth he’d fend for himself as a car, not like he can pump his own gas, and if he ever did find another companion then, well, it’s only a matter of time.

It makes it really hard to reboot something where all of the implied endings are grim, where it thrives in thinking about the Now and not giving the Later much thought.  The closest I’ve come to a satisfactory conclusion is in a human/android AU, because at least then Kitt going on to live his best life is feasible.  As in, he is physically capable of providing for himself once the others are gone, as tough as it is.  Right now, the best I’ve got is that when Michael retires he brings his friend with, who gladly continues to provide for him until the end, at which point he’s developed the skills to be on his own and help others along the way... it’s still not great though, no?  Genuinely curious, what are your thoughts on this?  Or am I just,,, being a killjoy for no reason LMBO I don’t mean to be really, just wondering
