Remember how I struggled with the neckline and the armhole finishing of the slipover I am currently working on?! Well, I finally found a solution for the neckline. 🥳 I cannot even tell you how many things I have tried or how many times I frogged back. Everything looked unpleasent to me. But now I finally have it. I am SO happy with the result that I don't even mind that it was a lot of work and I had to weave a lot of ends. (Swipe to see all the ends on the wrong side before and after I have woven them in.) 🤯 Sometimes it takes some time and effort to get a great result. Usually I don't make resolutions for a new year. I always felt like change does not need to be tied to a specific date. 🎆 But to be honest, 2022 has not been a blast - to say the least. I am in need of change. So, why not try to go unusual ways. Before the pandemic hit, I was more outgoing and really enjoyed to travel. For obvious reasons I did that a lot less in the past 3 years. Along the way I somehow forgot how good it can feel to just be surrounded by a different location. And to roam around and explore. On my trip to Marburg I was blissfully reminded how much energy a few days of "Tapetenwechsel" (engl. lit. "change of wall paper" meaning "change of scenery") - as we call it in Germany - can bring. So, here is a plan for 2023: Get out more - everything from short walks in the nearby park to actual planned vacations counts. Needless to say that I plan to knit as well. After months with a severe loss of my knitting mojo I can finally show you a new project of mine! Yay! 😊 I am using Rauma Finull for this beautiful textured knit. Right now it is too early for me to reveal what this is going to be. But so far I am happy with how it is working up. This is the first time I am using Finull and I really enjoy it. It is a great rustic yarn which would also be perfect for colorwork projects. And the color has a beautiful depth. 😍 If everything goes according to plan, I hope to share some progress on this project soon. 🤞 It is nice to be finally back! One of my absolute favorite places in Marburg are very old hidden stairs in the forest. They lead to a viewpoint where you see the city from above. On my trip a few days ago, it was very cold and the forest was covered in ice. It looked like everything was sugar coated!
