The wonderful sent of wool wash fills my apartment today! 🧶 And that is because I finished my Fiber Artist Sweater sweater. 🙌 #fiberArtistSweater I managed to get the second sleeve done, weaved in all the ends, washed it and left it laying flat to dry over night. Last week I casted on a new project. For some time I was not quite sure, if my idea would work. But now that I made a little progress, I am confident enough to share the first picture with you. 😊 It is going to be a circular yoke summer top that is knit with a rather fine single ply silk and merino yarn called ggh Lacy. I decided to work linen stitch with 5mm needles - a needle size that would be way too big for this yarn, if I was knitting Stockinette. 🧶 The resulting fabric has a super fun texture, does not roll up at the edge and is very light and airy. I can imagine this top to be a dream to wear. Are you interested in a KAL? 🍁 It is shawl season! 🙌 I love this time of the year when we get both warm, sunny days and chill evenings to snuggle up in our shawls. 🌞🍂 Earlier today I shared a proposal in my stories: While many of you are getting ready for the annual West Knits MKAL, I know that almost as many are not big fans of mystery KALs. Just like me - some of you simply prefer to know what they are knitting and are not built to stand the fear of maybe not liking the shawl when it is done. 😁 So, what do you think - should we start a HERBGARDEN knitwear shawl KAL instead? I would offer all participants a discount on my shawl patterns. You could choose to knit any (or all) HGK shawl(s). And of course I would draw a winner at the end who gets a price! 🏆 If you are (or are not) interested please let me know in the poll in my stories while it is still there - or in the comments below when the story has disappeared. In less than two weeks the Creative Flow Shawl test will be over! How fast time went by! #creativeFlowShawl 🧶 Some shawls are already finished, some are on the blocking mats waiting to dry and some are about to be finished in the upcomming days. I am enjoying this test tremendously! It is SO much fun to see my testers pick and mix the different stitch patterns and choosing different colors. There are so many different versions of the Creative Flow Shawls and each and every one that I have seen so far was absolutely beautiful! 😍 I really love that the possibilities are endless here! So far everything went according to plan and if it continues to do so, you can expect the pattern around the end of May or the beginning of July. The Vivyen Sweater test is slowly coming to an end. It is a pattern that I released in the beginning of 2021. #wesekhSweater Here is a little confession: I am not sure if it is the same for all designers (or any artists for that matter) but I definitely have some designs that I love more than others.
