Who is your favorite Kasen artist, or just tkrb in general. Any recs?

#1 is obv promineco (knsd-centric, draws insane surrealist contexts + psychologically thrilling manga, scratches my izukase itch. a fanartist after my own heart). then there's ichiya (knsd/izukase + myu. very cute comic plots), midorimen (rlly good hosokawagumi + sanadagumi + kobizen. pixiv), CUBE (some of the best blushing kasens ever. has tousani), ponzu (kasen and osayo fluff <3), en (mainly kasen + aoe. i'd die for that painting style)

and some others: TKC (recurring tosa-gumi, rlly cool illustrations and even cooler animatics!!!), raden (their illustrations w all the swords gathered !!!!), yuuki (swords-hugging-konnosuke series. random sword thirst traps. hasebe suffering ig), tancho (kunihiro kyoudai + kanesada-ha fluff), datou (odagumi + morigumi + kurodagumi. fudou is slowly climbing in my sword rankings)

I tried looking for possible guesses for what sword is this by searching through the list of the Kobizen swords and I got stumped, but someone in the comments had said “Hacchou Nembutsu Dango Zashi” 八丁念仏団子刺し.

That name is so long LMAO, but it’s usually just called Hacchou Nembutsu.

I looked it up and it turns out I can’t find this because Hacchou is not always listed as a Kobizen. There’s multiple theories about who made Hacchou, and it may or may not be a Kobizen. Like, it’s forged in one of the Bizen schools, but it could have been from the “new” Bizen generations (Kozori, Osafune, etc).

According to one site, the Mito Tokugawa Museum is the one that labelled it as Kobizen, smith Sukemura. The other theories include swordsmiths Yukiie (school unknown) and Morimitsu (Kozori school).

I couldnt resist the half price Uguisumaru figure on Mercari. It is such a steal and since I have more room for figures, I can have a dedicated Genji/Kobizen shelf

Well, I guess Haccho isn't coming home. I've done multiple 10-forges, with and without various ofuda. I've done single forges. I've even given in to superstition and tried setting Uguisumaru as my Aide to see if having a Kobizen blade there would magically bring him my way. Nothing.

I did get Azuki along the way, so I can't say it's a total loss, I just don't get the aggressively blue boi

I’m glad at least I own a couple of stages that he acted in. At least I can still see him sometimes (even though one of those is the bo.ueibu stage and it’s pretty cringey).

What I lament is that we never got a dvd or more performances of Twelfth Night. The stage was set to be in 2020 but bc of the COVID it was suspended after a couple of performances, so I could never see his Viola! I also regret not buying the dvd for As you like it bc he looked so good as Rosalind :’)

Also I’ll miss his Kobizen alongside Kato Sho, and also the love he had for him. We won’t get to see him talk about Maechan all the time anymore.
