kongthap is so lovely as a character here because he is so honest about his struggles with emotions and feelings as he doesn’t grasp the situation as quick and doesn’t know when to say what but he tries his damn best to always enquire if what he’s said might be hurtful unintentionally. he is just so kind and thoughtful and yes it might be hard for him to figure out what he is feeling or what certain interactions might mean for others but he always makes sure to clarify why he reacts the way he does and he respects atom and his feelings so much i love my autistic boy

i love how we see kongthap asking everyone what love is to them and how it will dawn to him soon enough that love can be a unique experience, everyone feels love differently and it symbolises different things for him. how he slowly came to realise his fondness for atom’s silliness and how his heart raced at their closeness and it almost seems like he really admires atom for his expressive and honest self, how sure atom is of his feelings and his self awareness and acceptance of himself something that kong struggles with :(

we see them constantly make contact and we see how flustered they both are and how direct kong is with atom. i love how they depict young love here because thats what it is like, its confusing and exhilarating it happens to you suddenly yet it is slow and it burns and its silly but its love nonetheless. how atom decided he would still put up a fight for kong and the silly jealousy which made him see a new side of kong, how he wasn’t just serious but a silly high schooler with inside jokes and stupid anime obsession, there is more to him but he is just like other boys his age too.
