If Tumblr keeps pushing JC defender content to me I'll simply explode. just love how this ep highlighted how much kong cares and how the both of them want each other equally but they just express it differently? atom prepping so hard w his fits and planning the whole date meanwhile kong prepping w advice from his mother and getting all the things he thinks atom might need and the way they constantly make the audience aware of how they find each other so attractive? i love when shows depict queerness through feelings AS WELL AS physicality because that is also another aspect of being queer, the sensuality of touch and wanting each other and being aware of each other physically. i love how clingy they were and held hands throughout and couldn’t stop once they started!! aaaah i loved how patiently kong explained everything to atom and heard all his doubts out only to clear them and how fond he is of his silly antics and never stops him from being himself god i love how this ep let us know how they love

sorry but i gotta give gem his flowers because hes been working over ida’s character so well like its so reminiscent of the manga ida because therein i think the author tries to depict and while ida Might look very serious and firm and nonchalant and is Excessively aware of that yet very obtuse at times with everything he still Cares A lot exactly because people assume he’s above it and almost perfect that’s why he asks aoki to wait for his answer and is so confused because he has never liked someone so how would he know what it feels to love and fall?

but he is direct and clear to a fault and tries because he feels something too and it’s not repressed by his awareness of how the world doesn’t see their love as love so he takes the lead in the relationship with aoki and helps him realise they do not need to be ashamed, he initiates touches and holds aoki’s hand to make aoki realise he desires him in the same manner and i think gems portrayal is very similar to the manga because here too, we see kongthap being depicted as this person who might look perfect from an outsider’s perspective: he is gorgeous and talented and kind, he works hard and is never arrogant, he looks so serious and firm almost as if he knows everything.

but that’s exactly what the gag is and it was sprinkled around in the narrative from the start with kongthap himself admitting to it but in this episode it was made so clear, especially to atom who was thinking kongthap was Serious and perfect only to see this new side of him in front of his childhood friends to expose that kongthap’s a silly anime nerd who remembers all the lines to slam dunk, who laughs at silly jokes and makes silly faces too, a boy who has never liked anyone so he has a hard time understanding what like exactly means but he is so Earnest that he is asking his friends for help because he doesn’t want to hurt atom at all but also because he Is Feeling something and he wants to understand what it exactly entails. and gems animated face this ep delighted me because it showcased how though he cannot pinpoint why exactly he is feeling A lot when it comes to atom, the fondness his face shows without him realising sometimes, he is Expressive too just more subtle.

ida blushed so much in the manga and carried so many small smiles for aoki and thats what gem channelled for this ep and god i loved it so much because its such an integral part of the character and just like ida realised his unique experience of love with a little bit of help from others and their understanding of love so will kongthap

i love how we see kongthap asking everyone what love is to them and how it will dawn to him soon enough that love can be a unique experience, everyone feels love differently and it symbolises different things for him. how he slowly came to realise his fondness for atom’s silliness and how his heart raced at their closeness and it almost seems like he really admires atom for his expressive and honest self, how sure atom is of his feelings and his self awareness and acceptance of himself something that kong struggles with :(

we see them constantly make contact and we see how flustered they both are and how direct kong is with atom. i love how they depict young love here because thats what it is like, its confusing and exhilarating it happens to you suddenly yet it is slow and it burns and its silly but its love nonetheless. how atom decided he would still put up a fight for kong and the silly jealousy which made him see a new side of kong, how he wasn’t just serious but a silly high schooler with inside jokes and stupid anime obsession, there is more to him but he is just like other boys his age too.

kongthap is so lovely as a character here because he is so honest about his struggles with emotions and feelings as he doesn’t grasp the situation as quick and doesn’t know when to say what but he tries his damn best to always enquire if what he’s said might be hurtful unintentionally. he is just so kind and thoughtful and yes it might be hard for him to figure out what he is feeling or what certain interactions might mean for others but he always makes sure to clarify why he reacts the way he does and he respects atom and his feelings so much i love my autistic boy

the way they just connect and click, how the natural chemistry guides them that atom’s nerves do not matter and kong’s confusion about love clears up because they feel Something at that moment and it guides them into creating something so genuine and magical on stage and how they glance at each other with such tenderness and how kong’s confused expression turns into something softer(something even he does not realise)

no wonder atom is falling so fast because their paths keep crossing and he sees kong caring and caring and being so sincere and genuine with him. they’re both so so kind and they are falling plus the way they danced. the celebration of thai culture and tradition yep yep im in love
