ok. Because I too, am unoriginal, I challenge thee to a challenge.
If this post gets...5k notes by the ides of March (Mar 15) I'll write a Frankenstein KOTLC Au, where
Sophie is Frankenstein's monster
Sophie is morally grey
They're nonbinary
And they kill Wylie's father (Kinda sorta on accident)
I won't start writing it until after I finish my current fic, but once I do I'll post it on AO3 and Wattpad.

what if Bronte investigated the fires in the human world and discovered they were everblaze, but hid it from the rest of the council
I know that smell well enough.
--------------------------------------------------
When the emissaries and I reached the site of the wildfires, it was clear to me that these were no ordinary fires. The flames burned a bright yellow, and the smell of burnt sugar pervaded the air.
For weeks after your ill-fated attempt to summon fire from the stars, the air in Eternalia was thick with it. I still remember how it seeped into everything. Furniture, clothing, skin. Even long after they extinguished the flames, the smell still lingered on every inch of your body.
Everblaze.
The emissaries didn't realize what it was. Alden and Quinlin are too young to know the smell of everblaze. They didn't watch your unstoppable flames sweep across the land, creeping closer to Eternalia with every passing day. They didn't see the yellow glow illuminate the night sky for all those weeks as our scientists worked to find a way to stop the flames.
But I recognized the fire instantly. I waited until the emissaries were occupied—a cognate exercise, I think, something involving holding hands and staring into one another's eyes—then knelt and sprinkled a little frissyn on one of the smaller patches of flames. They were extinguished immediately, confirming what I already knew.
You've lit everblaze in the human world.
Why? You know that this is a crime, Fintan. An act of treason. To travel to a forbidden city, violate the pyrokinesis ban, light the unstoppable flames that killed five pyrokinetics and nearly consumed Eternalia all those thousands of years ago—you would be exiled for this. Or worse.
It's my duty as a Councillor to report this. I ought to tell the Council what I saw, that everblaze is burning outside a human city, that the pyrokinesis ban has been violated.
But I can't. You served on the Council for hundreds of years. You helped countless people, elves and humans alike. How could you harm them now? Why would you betray our world? Foolish as it may be—treasonous as it may be—I won't turn you in until I know more.
So I said nothing. I stayed silent as the emissaries decided that the fires had been started by a human arsonist with chemicals. I hailed Emery and reported their conclusion to him. I scrubbed my skin raw before returning to the Council to keep them from smelling the sweet scent that still clung to it.
I wish I could ask you why you're doing this, but I know you would never trust me with the truth. You once might have, but when I left you to join the Council, you made it clear that that was the end for us. Since then, you've been distant. Courteous enough, but cold and detached.
So I'll keep it a secret. I'll rule it the work of a human arsonist, order Alden and Quinlin to stop their investigations, ban any other emissaries from going near the fires.
I can only hope that you know what you're doing.

ancients heights headcanons?
In order of tallest to shortest:
Fallon (6'2" — ridiculously tall so his thigh-length hair is even more intimidating)
Vespera (5'11" — can wear heels but only does so to intimidate, and is honestly more intimidating if she doesn't)
Fintan (5'9" — yes he's two inches shorter than Vespera but that's just an excuse for Fintan in heels and tall hairdos)
Luzia (5'8" — also a lover of heels but it would be a safety hazard to wear ones that would put her on a height with Fallon)
Bronte (5'5" — short king and has never worn a shoe with a heel taller than half an inch <3 (lol he's still taller than me))
Bonus Fallon's wife (5'10" and she never wears heels, just like her husband)
