In 2022, Taikouvember had been announced on short notice, leading to not many people knowing about the event. And even if several people were participating, causing a nice little atmosphere, we wanted to make sure that this year would be even more enjoyable for everyone involved. And we believe this has worked out wonderfully!

Thus we wanted to thank everyone who took the time to draw, write, make edits, compile posts and so on and so on. We know lives are busy and yet, you all did your best to contribute and that is worth all the praise in the world. Our favourite ship might not be the most popular one out there, but we are proud to have a small community dedicated to showing their love for it. And it doesn't matter what you did, how much or how little you did, if you could finish it in time or just handed in drafts: It's all wonderful.

We hope you've had as much of a fun time as we had! A big shout-out goes out to:

OPs commentary: So I originally posted this post with quite the rant about how this fandom continuously ignores (or even literally pushes aside or discredits! Or removes Koushiro, a canonically ADOPTED character, from his own canonical narratives!) canon!Koushiro’s presence and contributions to the series’ wider storylines and subsequently ignores his fandom and fanworks, character dynamics including his involvement and ships featuring him as a result.

I deleted the rant but to be quite honest this post is still meant to get that point across regardless Taichi can acknowledge canon!Koushiro’s importance, and you can too!

Even he himself seemed surprised at what he’d done. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean—” But Taichi said, “Don’t worry about it. In fact, it made me happy to hear you speak so casually to me. I felt like you’d finally opened up your heart to me.” Hearing this embarrassed Koushiro. But if reconciling with his parents had helped him to close his distance with other people, then it made Koushiro happy about himself as well. Taichi’s big-hearted way of accepting his brazenness with a smile only deepened Koushiro’s admiration for Taichi more than ever.

He just needed some more time on it. But Yamato, who didn’t understand that at all, said, “Looks like I’m right.” He continued triumphantly, “You’re a failure as a leader.” That was when Koushiro, who had kept himself from arguing with anyone before, said in a stronger tone than usual, “I’m against this. I don’t want to acknowledge anyone other than Taichi-san as our leader.” Koushiro had never spoken to anyone in a quarrelsome manner before, and it shocked Yamato. “Well,” he said, trying to put up a tough front, “I guess I should expect that coming from one of Taichi’s fans.” But Koushiro hadn’t spoken out of loyalty to a single party. “Yamato-san, you’re unfit for leadership because you’re too emotional. If the leader lets his emotions get the better of him, then he loses his followers.” Yamato hated to admit it, but he was right.
