he was gazing at the back of your head for quite some time now, though he couldn’t resist it. he tried looking away a few times, but whenever his eyes wandered around your colorful room, they somehow ended up looking at you once more. sometimes at your head, and some other times at your beautiful butt which he just couldn’t get enough of. the thing he loved the most however was your gorgeous face, the one that a look if concentration on it right now.

music was softly playing in the background, though jude knew that you weren’t this calm internally. ever since he got you concert tickets for your favorite k-pop group, you have become a ball of energy, counting down the days til d-day.

jude was laying on top of your bedsheets, arms crossed behind his back as he sighed out loud for the third time in the past five minutes. yes, he loved you for being so passionate about something, but the thought of you dolling up for some other guys just didn’t sit right with him.

“babe.“ your sweet voice pulled him out of his inner monologue, now facing him as you moved closer to his body. “how does it look?”

jude didn’t know what to focus on exactly, your face? your pretty eyes that had some sparkly things around them? maybe your soft lips, which just screamed at him to come closer and cover them with his own?

so, he just told you what he always does, what he always thinks, “you look stunnin’, baby.”

smiling, you lean down to kiss his forehead before moving back to the mirror to fix some last things around your make up.

“we should leave in ten minutes, yeah? heard the traffic is crazy.”

nodding, jude got out of your hed and moved behind you, hands resting on your hips as he continued to look at your face through the mirror.

“no. we talked about this, babe. you even know their songs now, don let that go to waste.” you turn around in his hold, your own hands gliding up and down his torso. you plant a soft kiss against his neck, hearing him sigh made you smirk.

everything after that went quite smoothly. the car ride was actually really fun, with you blaring song after song from your favorite group, loudly singing and screaming along the lyrics. your excitement even got jude excited, and he caught himself silently mouthing some of the lyrics with you. all because of your smile and general influence on him.

you guys arrived just on time for the last fee free parking spaces near the arena. and since he -obviously- got you VIP tickets, you guys could enter the arena without any issues, even having enough time to buy some merch.

your indecisiveness got jude feeling a bit impatient, he admits. he doesn’t even know why, but seeing you struggling to pick one of the members special item brew jealousy in him in ways he hasn’t felt before.

as if sensing his impatience, you quickly choose everything as fast as you could, paying for your own stuff even jude wanted to oppose. you even got him a light stick, making him smile from one ear to the other.

“babe,” he began, you however interrupted him with a quick kiss in the kips before telling him to move to your seats.

and after that everything just felt like a fever dream. the members of your group came on stage, making you scream out your lungs.

every song got you dancing and jumping on the spot, dragging jude up from his seat to join you.

every sad song made tears string from your eyes, causing jude to wipe them away with an enamored smile painting his lips.

whenever a love song came on, your eyes couldn’t help bit focus on jude, who was just as lovingly looking at you as you were at him. and in that exact moment both of found immense comfort laying between the both of you.

every single thing throughout the entire concert felt so different to you guys, and when it ended it felt like it never happened to begin with.

with adrenaline and giddiness pumping through your veins, you and jude made your way back to your car, but not before taking pictures together in front the arena and a few fans of his.

“i jus’ know that people will be talking about this.” he spike up on the way back home.

this time you were the one driving, not trusting your boyfriends tired eyes to focus on the road entirely.

“about what, bub?”

leaning against the window, judes eyes focused on your side profile, your eyes still had a sparkle in them, your face was flushed and your hair messy. but you looked so fucking beautiful to him in that moment that his hand made its way to your neck, thumb brushing against the side of it.

“don’t know,” he shrugged, “that i was here, i guess.”

“here, means being a good boyfriend that makes his partner happy?” you ask him, already understanding what he was saying.

thinking about your words, jude released a relieved sigh, “yeah, you’re right. did you have a great time, love?”

laughing, you nodded, “the best day of my life was meeting you in that cute yellow jersey, you looked so lost and tired. it made me fall for you immediately.”

I'll make sure to get loads of rest, I hope you guys enjoyed the tour as much as we did❤️❤️

My favourite moment in the entire tour was when Charmings sent a bunch of paper aeroplanes while we were performing "girls on wings" in America. None of my members were expecting the aeroplanes and it literally took me 5 verses to notice them😭

I remember Lili tapping my shoulder to get my attention and she pointed out that most of the planes had such sweet messages in them but it wasn't just the messages that caught our eye, it was the fans that were writing them. Like fans of different groups were sending down paper aeroplanes and signing them off with their fanbase names to show their support of our group because we've been a really hot topic amongst knetizens about whether O.M.G is a true kpop group or not.

Now when I look back on the videos the fans took, when you look at the lighsticks in crowds, most of them were lightsticks meant for other groups🥹💕💕 this was definitely my favourite moment and it means a lot to me that other fanbases love us too💙🩷

I'm in d process of redoing my home office. N i found an old 📦 with my fav 2nd gen kpop stuff in it. Actually, i had lost most of the albums, lighsticks, and merchs from WG, Suju, 2am, bigbang, 2ne1, n early years of exo due to 6-7 times moving, borrowed by friends then silently gone 😏, and some got stolen. As for my shinee collection, i gave them to my shawol friends after jonghyun passed away.

god i saw someone selling atz v1 lightstick for Not As Much As It Usually Goes For and i'm having some very stupid thoughts*. but also: man they really... did something big with lightsticks out there, like i know japan started it, but they still (?) use those fluid-filled ones sometimes, and their battery-powered fandom lighsticks are kinda very meh. but kpop? this shit rocks. really tapped into this desire to hold something phallic with a glowing ball on the end and shake it vigorously that possesses you when you see hot people dance to songs that fuck. 10/10

August 4th, 2024 星期天 - Pizza + Crème Brûlée, Cafe Study Sesh, Kpop Store in Kaohsiung (finally), Chinese-Speaking Bird

Today was a free day, so I planned to use it to rest. After basically being up all night, I woke up to start my day around 11am. After the cleaning lady waking me up no less than three times, I started getting ready for my day. After picking out a (hopefully) cute outfit, I filled up my water bottle, left the hotel, and headed to get lunch.

I went to the nearby pizza spot from the other day and ordered dine-in. It took quite a bit for my food to come because the cashier lady put in the wrong order. Instead of the meat lover’s pizza I had thought I ordered, i received some sort of mushroom pizza instead. The male staff was super sweet and made me a new (correct) pizza whilst apologizing profusely. I wasn’t that upset to be honest, since I had my headphones in and was watching Hell’s Kitchen on my phone. After a little while longer, I got my food and dug in. A bit after, the male server brought over a free Crème Brûlée as a peace offering. It was so random I was surprised, but the server complimented my Chinese haha. I just had a conversation earlier this morning with someone who loves Crème Brûlée and when they tried to make it, the dessert ended up tasting like scrambled eggs with sugar. This story left me mildly cautious, especially since I’d never tried the dish before. I actually liked it. It was pretty tasty, but I was super full from the pizza. The best part was the glass sugar on top mixed with the custard or whatever is in there. I’m glad I got to try it for free.

After lunch, I headed to Cama coffee shop to get some work done. I ordered a wild berry tea and stayed for about two hours getting homework and some administrative tasks done. Since I’m now the vice president of a student organization, I have so many things to do and plan, so I was working on that for a while—especially planning Collab socials, graphics, performances, etc. After wrapping up at the coffee shop, I attempted to find the Kaohsiung kpop store. It took me a while to figure it out, but I ended up taking the bus and walking to find the store. It was pretty small compared to the Taipei store, but was SUPER packed full of albums and other merch. Because of the physical limitations, it was hard to navigate the store. Because of the massive disorganization, it was very hard to find anything really. Thankfully, the two main groups I was looking for were in generally easy to reach areas.

I ended up buying:

Boynextdoor - Who? Album and And. Japanese CD (Taesan ver.)

For some of the stuff, I had to ask the people working the counter. Some of the words I did not know in Chinese, BUT because we are connected through our love for kpop we both were able to understand each other. The Boynextdoor And. Album was the LAST one in the store, and perhaps the last in Kaohsiung hehe. The new Enhypen album was also behind the counter, and I paid extra for an extra photocard (that I will probably trade for a Jake or Niki PC when I get home).

After leaving the store, I originally planned on going to the Mofusand pop-up, but I prioritized locking in and doing homework. Whilst waiting for the bus, this random man from a nearby store comes out with this giant bird who speaks Chinese. After playing with it for a while (and getting bit up by mosquitos), I missed my bus and had to walk farther down to a different stop. At that stop, I FaceTimed my stressed roommate whilst waiting. The buses in Kaohsiung seemed to come less often than the ones in Taipei. Eventually I got on the bus and headed home (I almost missed my stop to get off cause it was confusing but I made it). I stopped at OKMart for Shin ramen and some cranberry juice.

Back at the hotel, I showered before starting to work on more assignments. I did that for a couple hours before taking a break to eat the ramen. I then locked back in for another couple hours, before heading to Family Mart with my roommate to get snackies. I ended up buying spicy popcorn chicken and broccoli and a late night snack. Then I went home, ate, worked on some graphics from my club on Canva, and knocked out.

Ide untuk nonton bioskop sendirian itu sudah ada sejak lama. Tapi ini pertama kalinya saya betul-betul melakukannya. Akhirnya, ada sebuah film yang membuat saya cukup termotivasi untuk nonton sendiri.

My Shinee World, pada intinya memang merekap perjalanan 15 tahun karirnya Shinee. Filmnya banyak menampilkan potongan penampilan mereka selama 15 tahun. Dari 5, hanya 3 member yang interview singkat. Shineenya keren, tapi saya sebenarnya berharap lebih banyak interview atau behind the scene dibanding potongan penampilan. Saya sudah sering lihat penampilan mereka di yutub. Hehe.

Saat nonton bioskop tadi, saya terus ngunyah popcorn sambil minum untuk mengalihkan emosi. Dan memang setelah mulut saya berhenti ngunyah, saya nangis sendiri. Mereka kerja keras sejak masih sangat muda. Film ini melibatkan kelima membernya, meski Jonghyun meninggal di 2017, sementara Onew lagi hiatus karena masalah kesehatan. Bagaimanapun, mereka menunjukkan bahwa mereka berlima. Ada rindu yang sebetulnya juga sulit saya kenali. Sedih, orang yang sudah tiada rasanya selalu disayangkan kenapa dia tiada.

Saya kenal Shinee sejak 2013, karena teman KKN saya dulu ada penggemar kpop. Tapi, saya baru suka di 2017. Tidak lama setelah Jonghyun meninggal. Saya yang pada saat itu sedang sekolah profesi merasa tergelitik dengan berita kepergiannya, karena bunuh diri merupakan isu yang pada saat itu sedang sering bersinggungan dengan saya. Saya banyak mencari tahu soal grup ini, dan berakhir jatuh cinta. Lagu-lagu mereka banyak menemani saat saya sedang tesis.

Sebetulnya sebagai fans, saya terhitung sangat cupu. Saya tidak pernah beli album, lighstick atau beli perintilan lain soal si idol. Saya hanya mendengarkan musik mereka dan nonton ke bioskop seperti ini. Jadi melihat fans lain yang sampai ngumpulin masa, beli segala macam, sampai nonton pakai dresscode, saya merasa cupu.

Mungkin cinta saya tidak sedalam itu. Atau, saya yang tidak siap mencintai dengan sangat serius. Eh, nyambung ke mana, ini.
