As mentioned, I’ll be doing matchups for a short while just to exercise my writing because I used to do this for different fandoms back in the day and I’m in dire need of mental stimulation—-!!

You know what they say right, Life is a gift? Life is an adventure? Go with the flow? None of that seemed right when Mingyu thought about it. It was odd really, someone so popular and loved was sitting cross-legged and ready to sculpt something out of clay in a room full of strangers.

Despite his attempts at socialising, he felt lonely and out of his element. Whilst everyone was sculpting their lover or making a vase Mingyu got to work creating some very realistic crackers with some depressed lumps of cream in the middle.

He assumed that people were judging him, especially when someone who sat off to the side kept glancing at him at the corner of her eye.

“How are you doing?”  Mingyu cringed at how meek his voice sounded. He had rendered you speechless, you hadn't expected him to actually speak. “I’m doing good it’s nice here.” Though there was the looming presence of fictitious crickets you both felt a jolt of light electricity tickle you to the extent of smiling at each other.

That same electricity had you compelled as you kept the conversation with Mingyu, only stopping to focus on shaping the clay. This was a regular occurrence, however, when you paused for a couple of minutes Mingyu was terrified. Did he say the wrong thing? Little did he know you were playing a silent game of ‘Should-I-ask-him-if-I-can-sit-next-to-him?’.  

Not knowing whether he should prompt you to speak or just leave it Mingyu went back to working on a cracker, part of him considered giving you one, he didn’t know why he would do that it just felt right. So, he started his own silent game ‘Should-I-give-her-a-clay-cracker-or-not?’.

You had to chuckle at your nerves, this was so unlike you. You knew how to talk to guys so you finally managed to ask him. “Is it okay if I sit with you?” “Yeah…? Oh yeah! You can!” His excitement was the cutest thing ever.

Picking up your clay and your sculpting equipment you moved over to his table finally getting a good look at his craftmanship, noticing how depressing his precious creations were.  

You brushed your hand against his again, welcoming the return of that light electricity again. Picking one up you looked at it and shook your head in a playful manner.

“I think it’s time you made a happy little cracker.”
