It is time once more for me to go feral over Folketeatret's rendition of Treasure Island the Musical, which runs again this very autumn and winter! Starting with THIS ship-worthy shot of Trelawney and Livesey.
They look like they're getting married 😭
@verecunda don't know if you're still in on this ship, but I sure am!
I’m going down memory lane with the Danish versions I grew up with from different animated movies, and figured I should share this one cause... it’s honestly my favorite romantic song from any animated movie, or at least in top 10 if not 5. I adore Thumbelina’s Danish voice, and Cornelius’ voice too!
Hiya! I was born in 2003 so I don’t really know what was going on with POTO at that time. Do you know maybe what productions were open? Or the casts? I would love to know what was going on when I was born haha.
Hello! Because I myself was 3/4 at the time, I’m going to use this list. It’s pretty accurate. And in case you have any other questions about any other years, they will most likely be on here. The productions and casts were:

Why they had to split up the rest of the roles? I don’t know.)
Two generation beasts in Copenhagen:
Left: Kristian Boland (2005)
Right: Tomas Ambt Kofod (2014)
At first glance they look identical, but different wigs are definitely used, seen in the shorter "bangs" in 2005, an the curlier "beard" in 2014. The Teeth are also shorter. But the deformity pieces seems about the same.
Having just seen Treasure Island the Musical, I finally did something I've never done for any play I've ever attended (because I'm usually busy clapping); I filmed the initial applause.
The crew are, left to right in order of bow:
Rasmus Fruergaard (Israel Hands) & Ole Boisen (Billy Bones & George Merry)
Having been to see Treasure Island the Musical for the third time this winter, I finally decided to do something I've never done at any play I've attended before; film the first applause. I was on front row, so this is about as close as anyone can get!
The bowing cast are, from left to right in order of bow:
Rasmus Fruergaard (Israel Hands) and Ole Boisen (Billy Bones & George Merry)
In honour of the current production of the Treasure Island musical by Folketeatret (which has been running every five years since the 1980's would you believe it) I offer this gorgeous duo;
Doctor Livesey (to the right in blue) has to be my favourite character in the whole show, and I swear to god this production's Livesey and Trelawney (to the left in... autumn colours) were eyeballing each other and they were doing it on purpose. On a different note, Livesey's played by Kristian Boland, who also lent his voice to the Danish Tullio from El Dorado, John Smith from Pocahontas, Dmitri from Anastasia, and Ramases from Prince of Egypt. As you might expect, he sings like an angel.
I went ahead and GIFed Livesey and Trelawney's best moments from the trailer to Folketeatret's current production of the Treasure Island musical, because I could not help myself:
Once again @verecunda I believe this might be your thing, sadly not much more than this is going to be available from the production so this is the end of what I can offer (apart from that fanfic I am working on on AO3)
You guys really thought I was done obsessing over the Treasure Island production didn't you? Well, I will never cease obsessing over historical theatre! Have some more Livesey.
