PRAISE FOR Kyivsky Waltz | Київський вальс a love story | історія кохання by KS Lack | КШ Лек
Kyivsky Waltz/Київський Вальс is both timely and timeless. Through a masterful interweaving of poems, typeset, and images, this chapbook takes the reader on a lyrical journey through Kyiv in the 1990s, as experienced by a perceptive and heartbreakingly honest young American woman. We hear the “small symphonies” and “rumbling bursts” of the Ukrainian language. We taste the “tang of a morning’s kiss/mushrooms misted with earth.” We smell the roses and lilacs below a lovers’ room. With a poet-journalist’s attentive eye, KS Lack infuses her story with everyday detail, always through an intensely personal lens—full of yearning, tenderness, pain, confusion, repulsion, pleasure, beauty, and, ultimately, love. The evocative images of this love story will haunt your memory long after you put it down.
–Nicole Svobodny, Senior Lecturer in Global Studies, Washington University in St. Louis
Kyivsky Waltz/Київський Вальс leads us through the steps of a transformation, the one that inevitably occurs in the encounter of a foreign place, and of its inhabitants and culture. The poems, demonstrating how small details or words can carry greater significance, convey a journey from disorienting estrangement, to intimate understanding, and love. Through various poetic movements, KS Lack chronicles a dance, at the end of which, two foreigners can say “But here nothing is yours or mine––just ours.” With this heartfelt collection, Lack reminds us that #love, like language, is a pas de deux.
–Beatrice Szymkowiak, author of B/RDS
A mixture of visually-laden poetry and equally breathtaking artwork, Kyivsky Waltz/Київський Вальс by KS Lack takes you on a sensual, metaphorical, and emotional journey of the seasons
–Jason Masino, author of Sinner’s Prayer

Soundwave quickly zeroed in on the tab containing the personal protection protocols. While it was impressive, alarm bells quickly began to ring when it spotted the dummy code for his viruses. Brainstorm was not the only mech in this building who had personal experience devising such weapons.
Soundwave quickly scrolled through the code, reading every measure that was in place with practiced ease. Brainstorm had mentioned being on the "same side" for a time, and it was no wonder. His coding reeked of Decepticon training; modules Soundwave itself had overseen the creation of. Still, he had a clear and distinct "voice" within the syntax, quirks and the like. While Brainstorm had learned something from the Decepticons, he had obviously built his own skillset.
While this was certainly impressive, this probably was the last thing Soundwave wanted to see right out of the gate. Though reverse engineering something this complex would be useful, Soundwave couldn't help its reservations. There was enough room for one master virus creator, and that was Soundwave. It could at least trust itself to play by the rules.
"KS Solutions: Not in the business of using offense as the best defense." Soundwave said, slowly handing back the datapad.
Brainstorm bustles into the building almost as soon as it opens. He's kept an optic out for months. Because what better way to get a new laboratory for even more feats than with a brand new firm? He hadn't been expecting to be handing a resume data pad that has several tabs open to Soundwave of all mech, but sure! They had technically been on the same side of the battle for a little while! Why not?
"I know I'm over qualified. Head engineer on the Lost Light, built a paradox proof time machine -we don't talk about that one-, and several, several weapons that were used both on and off the battlefield." He looked proud of himself behind his mask.
Brainstorm had basically ambushed Soundwave on the way to its office. It had heard a bit of commotion out in the halls, but figured it was the already hired employees celebrating the opening of the firm. It had not been expecting their daytime security guard to come rushing through mere moments after the datapad was in its hands.
Soundwave held up a servo to calm the guard before looking to this...prospect. It listened carefully, frowning under its visor a bit more with every sentence. After he finished, Soundwave didn't respond. It simply looked over the datapad, flipping through tabs, staring at the mechanical schematics that were being provided as examples of his work.
Finally, Soundwave looked up again and tilted its helm to the side.
"Brainstorm?" A small ex-vent. "KS Solutions: Specializes in cloud based software engineering regarding cybersecurity systems. Does not have the capacity now, or in the near future, for hardware development. You are...aware of this, correct?"

Bunch of icons I made for my TH profiles of these lads. From top to bottom:
- Jaxon - Dallan - Aster - Killscreen - Syntax
The first two were referenced, reference images can be found in the description of the images on TH!
I... guess people can use these if they want (with credit)? BUT TBH I’m not too sure who would wanna when I got not a lot of content regarding these lads HAH.

The pages in this category are redirects from names that are unsuitable for inclusion in a printed version of Wikipedia. To add a redirect to this category, place {{Rcat shell|{{R unprintworthy}}}} on the second new line (skip a line) after #REDIRECT [[Target page name]]. For more information follow the links. Never substitute redirect template(s), nor place them on soft redirects.
See also the complete list of redirect templates and the redirect style guide.
This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories.
This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. They are not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme.
This category is hidden on its member pages—unless the corresponding user preference (appearance → show hidden categories) is set.
These categories can be used to track, build and organize lists of pages needing "attention en masse" (for example, pages using deprecated syntax), or that may need to be edited at someone's earliest convenience.
These categories also serve to aggregate members of several lists or sub-categories into a larger, more efficient list (discriminated by classifications).
"Unprintworthy" redirects are redirect pages on Wikipedia that aid online navigation, but would have little or no value as pointers to target articles in a hard-copy book. The name of a redirect may be unprintworthy for a number of reasons, including being nearly identical to the name of the target page, containing typographical errors, or not being encyclopaedic. Redirects are not unprintworthy just because the name may be offensive to some, unless the name is also not encyclopaedic.

A (Basic) Guide to Matoran Names
When Bionicle first launched, the names used for most characters were derived directly from Maori (ex. “Tahu” means “burn”), but LEGO later adapted to include English grammar, syntax, and spelling in their name design. This cultural fusion became “The Matoran/Agori Language”, with words on Mata Nui maintaining a strong Polynesian flare, and those within the giant robot (and on Bara Magna) keeping a Germanic/Latin nature.
Basically, Matoran names have five (5) distinct characteristics:
They…
Have no more than three (3) syllables per word (ex. Roo’da’ka, Kai’la’ni, Hel’ryx)
Can start with a single vowel (a, e, i, o, u) but not a single consonant (ex. A’ma’ya, K’ma’ya)
Can have the floating letters “k”, “n”, and “s” added to a syllable, but only if they come after a vowel (ex. Ma’to’ran, Fen’rak, Vhi’so’rak, Vas’tus)
Have an extra “h” to soften pronunciation between a consonant and vowel (ex. Hah’li, Whe’nu’a, Kar’zah’ni)
Can have different spelling w/ same pronunciation, but never more than three (3) letters per syllable (ex. Pu’ku --> Pew’ku; Ma’ku --> Mac’ku)
Grammar and phonotactics can get way more complicated than this, but just the basics have been super helpful in naming my own characters (ex. Tongass, Taiga).
For anyone who wants to know more details about Matoran names, check out the “read more” section below; I’ll be adding more grammar and phonetic stuff as it comes along.
Syllables
All Matoran names have four (4) basic syllables:
 [V] single vowel (a, e, i, o, u),
[CV] consonant + vowel (examples: ka, gu, ri…),
[VV] vowel + vowel (i.e. diphthongs [examples: ai, ea, ou…])
[CVV] consonant + diphthong [examples: kai, xia, lao…]
Names can be one (1), two (2), or three (3) syllables long, but single syllable names must have at least 1 consonant and 1 vowel (ex. Kongu’s Gukko “Ka”); Because single syllable names are so short, up to 5 different letters can be used, but shouldn’t have more than 3 sounds in total (ex. Gresh’ --> G-RE-SH) (ex. Skrall’ --> SK- RA- LL)
Normally names have no more than three (3) syllables per word, with only two exceptions (i.e. Takanuva [4] and Protodermis [4]). All other names in the Matoran Universe have 3 syllables or less, but names could be made with up to 4 in rare circumstances.
Adding Extra Letters
The letter “r” can be added to basic [CV] syllables, but only if
It’s added after a plosive consonant (“b”, “p”, “t” or “k”) and the vowel “a” (ex. Ac’kar, Bo’tar, Car’a’par, Bar’ra’ki) Or
It’s placed between a plosive consonant and a vowel (ex. Bru’ta’ka, Skrall’, Kraa’ta
The floating letters “k”, “n”, and “s” can be added to a basic syllable, but only if they come after a vowel* (ex. Ma’to’ran, Fen’rak, Vhi’so’rak, Vas’tus); *The exception to this is “s”, which can be added before [CV] syllables starting with “k” (ex. Skak’di, Skrall’), or after consonants to imply a plural (ex. Pouks’)
Names can have different spellings but can’t have more than three (3) letters per syllable* (ex. Pu’ku --> Pew’ku); syllables can also have extra vowels or consonants added to emphasize/elongate their sound, but they must:
1.      Be a repeating vowel or consonant (ex. Skrall’, Skaa’di, Kii’na),
2.      Keep the original sound (ex. Bo’tar, [not Boo’tar]), and
3.      Only have 1 repeating letter per name (ex. Kii’na, [not Kii’naa or Kiii’na])
*Exceptions: single syllable names (see details above); names with 1 repeating letter (ex. Gaa’ki Ja’ller); and syllable letter/sound combinations ending in “-st” and “-sh” (ex. Go’rast)
Spelling and Pronunciation
Names with syllable starting in “ll” and ending in “-er” have the “ah” pronunciation instead of “ur” (ex. Ja’ller, pronounced “Jala”)

FULL OF HELL SHARE “ARMORY OF OBSIDIAN GLASS” AS ‘WEEPING CHOIR’ RELEASE DATE APPROACHES
Tumblr media
"Full of Hell leave a crater no matter where they tread" - Revolver Magazine
Full Of Hell have shared the official audio for “Armory of Obsidian Glass” off their highly anticipated new album Weeping Choir. Listen to the new track, featuring the inimitable Lingua Ignota on guest vocals, on YouTube.
Please Post and Share “Armory of Obsidian Glass” now: https://youtu.be/XkS7PSB5iH4
Guest vocalist Lingua Ignota comments: “‘Armory of Obsidian Glass’ rips, and is probably my favorite FOH track to date, so it was a great pleasure to work on it. I wanted my vocals to provide a counterpoint to all the savagery, to pick up on and accentuate harmonic things happening in the music in an unexpected way. I think the effect overall is chilling, wild, and I’m excited for people to hear it — many thanks to my friends for letting me contribute to this amazing song."
Full of Hell make their Relapse debut with their most explosive album to date, Weeping Choir. Dynamic, pissed, and wholly urgent, the highly anticipated Weeping Choir is a definitive statement of intent by one of the underground’s most dynamic and virulent entities.  Full of Hell have once again culled the extreme elements from hardcore, metal, and power electronics to redefine darkness and sheer brutality. Distorted guitars, and ominous, disparate electronics grind and gnash against rapid-fire drumming, as Full of Hell take themes of religion, loss, hatred, and set them ablaze. Recorded by the critically acclaimed Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio, Weeping Choir sees Full of Hell fully unleashed.
Full of Hell will the headline the Weeping Caustic Torment North American tour with labelmates PRIMITIVE MAN & GENOCIDE PACT starting May 24 at Maryland Deathfest. Assignment代写:African American language
The so-called black language is an American English dialect with African American characteristics. It is mainly used by blacks and minorities living in the southern United States and other cities with low education levels, low economic income and relatively low social status. However, in recent years, American black English has gradually become an important social dialects rather than to simply national dialect, in all sorts of awards ceremony, in the popular rap songs, and of all kinds of movies in Hollywood, TV sets, black English is popular. It is absolutely wrong to discriminate against or exclude black English as inferior English, and there is no basis in linguistics. Black English though and the so-called standard American English is different, but it is not a chaos and any change of language variants, it changes in pronunciation and syntax, etc all have certain rules to follow, in other words, black English has its own language system. So, let's have a preliminary understanding and discussion of black English.
The first black slaves were transported to the United States in 1619, and there was no final word on the origin of black English in the United States. There are two main ideas in the academic world. One is the dialect hypothesis. After the first slaves arrived in the United States, they were sold to work on plantations in the southern states. For the need of communication, they can only learn from white English, but because of the racial discrimination and isolation of white and black could not be equal exchanges, only learned basic syntactic structure and keep a certain differences. Black slaves used learned white English to communicate in their own communities, and when it was passed down from generation to generation, these retained differences were reinforced and eventually became a linguistic variant of English. Another view is the Creole hypothesis, which holds that black English is the result of the change from early Creole to English. Between the 16th and 19th centuries, many African slaves who spoke different languages were brought together, and "language contact led to the production of lingua franca." Through communication with each other, different language has had the contact, so he began to borrow from each other between language some language form, eventually evolved a pidgin language can understand each other. This simple pidgin has been creolized since the second and third generations of blacks learned it from their parents as their mother tongue. With the influence of white English rise, "because of the influence of the prestigious language, Creole of Creole" will happen, so the Creole evolving, finally produce the black English. Above the second view's most scholars agreed that, although these two views is different and there is some controversy, but still have to recommend it, and said about the origin of black English, can have yet to draw a conclusion.
In black English, the most common phonetic feature is th, which often sounds like t or d. For example, Thursday sounds like Dursday, while sore looks like dough. In addition, not pronouncing /r/ after vowels is also a phonetic feature of black English. Remember remembah usually happens, but ever can also be evah. Black English is often weakened by the consonants at the end of words, especially in informal situations. For example, in standard American English, the passed will weaken the consonant sound of the end of the word in black English and pronounce it like pas. Desk will also be pronounced as des. Any consonant consonant consonants ending in -st, -sk, and -nd will be weakened in black English. In terms of phonetic differences, the last feature of black English is to put the word stress in front of it, especially in the two-syllable words such as police and motel.
There are many differences between the spelling rules of black English and the standard American English. Some spelling rules have been accepted by most people and have become the national spelling method. The most obvious rule is to change the end of the -er to the end of the -a, as in the case of player. In addition, ks or CKS will also be changed to a single x at the end, and the most common one is that thanks is written as thanx. Re and e, which are usually hard to hear in rapid pronunciation, are also often omitted in black English. For example, the word "more" will be directly omitted as mo. These rules have become almost the norm in black English, while the following rules have become almost universal in the United States. Now, gotta, wanna, outta, kinda and sorta, which have appeared in Hollywood movie dialogues many times, are black English that will change going to, want to, out of, kind of and sort of of of. Removing the g at the back of -ing is already a national spelling rule, such as goin ', nothin 'and so on.
The most obvious syntactic difference between black English and standard American English is generally in the use of the be verb. In the black English, if the action or state is habitual or often happens, will only be used in the sentence, if it is not the case, then be verb is usually omitted. For example, Kathy always be telling lie. In this sentence, "Socks are mine." In addition to being used for habitual events, the verb "Be" can also Be used for future tense in black English. In addition, in the present tense, black English usually omit a verb or directly with be prototype, for example, Daniel really good boy, or Linda be hot girl. In standard American English, respectively, should be Daniel really is a good boy and Linda is a hot girl.
Another obvious syntactic feature of black English is the double negation or even multiple negation. I ain't know nothin 'about it. Double negation can also be traced back to Shakespeare's time in standard English, so multiple negative sentences like Don't nobody say nothin 'after that are definitely original in black English. If the listener is a non-black English speaker or is not familiar with black English, such words are bound to cloud him.
As the main language used by the special group of African Americans, American black English reflects the culture, tradition and long history of slavery and discrimination of African Americans. As the most widely used minority language in American society, and as a highly valued social language in the United States, black English is bound to play an increasingly important role.

Arts Caravan
You can glean a lot of information off the walls of a dive bar toilet. I read these with some interest because they often imply curious information about women, of which I am one. For instance, you can read the walls at 3 Kings and learn that Johanna is F–ing Hot. You can take a peek into the potties at Bar Bar and learn that their bartender s–ks d–k. At the Star Bar, by contrast, it’s beneficial to keep one’s nether regions well-aired, which is not information about women specifically, but may be helpful nonetheless. I have no way to verify these statements. But I did get the useful and fact-checked tidbit from a poster in the penny-floored lavatory at the Syntax Physic Opera that the Arts Caravan would be performing there.
The Arts Caravan, an ever-evolving sideshow-with-circus, shows up at the Syntax on last-Thursdays of each month. The Syntax sits farther down Broadway than most of my familiar haunts, about halfway between the densely-placed venues of Lodo and the art district blossoming around Santa Fe and Hampden. It’s conveniently close to a Sam’s Club, though, in case you need a flat of toilet paper along with your eclectic live entertainment. I made plans to attend.
The show was listed for 6:00pm and I rolled in at 6:15 with my mouth still blue from cursing the Denver traffic. I gave my name at the ticket desk and found my way to Zia Pixie, the queen of this gypsy caravan. She informed that while the website says 6:00, the actual event was scheduled for 6:30, with an expected start time of 7:00. Thus, I arrived 15 minutes late just to be 45 minutes early. The restroom poster did not make this schedule clear. But the happy hour specials were nice and so I stood around and drank gin and ate French fries for an hour, which is exactly what my “Eat Better in 2019” resolution is all about. I drank gin and ate spuds and handled the many questions posed to a woman alone at a bar, for which I feel that 45 minutes is more than adequate time. I took my drink and wandered around to look at the antique porn on the walls and wondered if it was really antique or if it had been made to look that way with vintage techniques. Either way, it’s pretty.
The second in the Arts Caravan cast to get acquainted with me was Griffin, the resident gentleman, in the style of Colonel Sanders, but with less chicken and just as much charm. He introduced himself as the host of the evening and kissed my hand, which rarely happens to women alone in bar and felt a bit like a throwback to the time of the vintage nudie pics.
The show began promptly at 7:00, with “Griff” calling us to order and introducing the acts, which ranged from dance to poetry to fire play and sideshow. The opening act was a guitar-playing duo covering some pop tunes melodically and pleasantly. The show then moved on to Zia Pixie doing a fire act, which was quite enjoyable. I do a small bit of fire performance myself and it’s both harder and easier than it seems. She presented the tricks and fire transfers with panache and showmanship, all to the soundtrack of a song with the refrain “I’m your nickelodeon,” which confused the hell out of me. In my Millennial mind, “Nickelodeon” is a television station that shows cartoons in the morning and Bob Newhart reruns at night. Griffin repeated this term several times and I sneaked my phone out to Google it. Turns out, “nickelodeon” is a term for a jukebox or a 5-cent admission theater. Context implies “accessible entertainment,” which worked well for a reference to Arts Caravan.
The show progressively got weirder as it moved away from coffee shop-type guitars and into sideshow material, including Slim the Living Cyborg. I’ve met Slim many times backstage and he once told me that the best way to practice sword-swallowing is by practicing with glow sticks, “like a hooker.” I do not intend to verify this statement. If fact checked, it may be useful to someone, woman or otherwise. Anyway.
Slim’s schtick is modifying his body (the “living cyborg” thing) and the doing strange things with the remainder of it. This includes hanging chains of heavy objects from his pierced septum and pierced nipples and doing the classic “blockhead” trick, which is done by inserting stiff objects into one’s nasal passages. And, of course, sword swallowing, no glow sticks in sight. It’s curious stuff. Some circus tricks are illusions, of course, but some are just real. Hanging things from your nipples is exactly what it looks like; it’s a skill, not an illusion. Slim’s top trick is stapling things to himself–preferably money, and preferably high-denomination bills. You can staple your money to his body yourself; the higher the denomination, the more sensitive the area to be stapled. This usually includes “cheeks, both kinds, and taint,” but I think the venue restrictions might limit that. Nobody offered a high enough bill to see how that last offer would have played out anyway, although I’m sure it would, at the very least, be curious to watch because stapling is another thing that is not an illusion.
Another artist, Cybill, performed a spoken-word piece with some sexy lingerie and a rose. The petals came off the rose in a quite impressive fallout. I’d watch that again. She returned later to do a pretty bool belly dance with impressive abs. I’d watch that again, too. I don’t care who you are, looking at pretty ladies is a nice way to pass your evening (see: vintage nudie pics); so much the better when they do skilled performances, too. I’d like to get up on my feminist high horse about valuing women for what they do (as we totally should), but I’d be lying if I said that we’re not nice to look at. Both things can be true, and that’s not an illusion either.
After the show, I declined a drink from a guy and headed home, forgetting my credit card at the bar. Circus is a fun break from reality. I highly recommend that all of us take a deep draught of that drink every now and again. Your next chance to see the friendly and curious folks of the Arts Caravan happens on February 28! Should be a nice chance to warm up and jam out with a charming group of people who happen to be both illusory and real. This is a verified fact.

Their Relapse Debut LP Weeping Choir will be out May 17th, 2019.
Tumblr media
Please Post and Share: https://youtu.be/ob6y1mmILfc
Extreme harsh-grinding quartet FULL OF HELL make their Relapse debut with their most explosive album to date, Weeping Choir, coming May 17th. Dynamic, pissed, and wholly urgent, the highly anticipated Weeping Choir is a definitive statement of intent by one of the underground’s most dynamic and virulent entities.
Watch the official video for Weeping Choir’s opening track “Burning Myrrh,” directed by Cody Stauder, on YouTube.
On Weeping Choir, FULL OF HELL have once again culled the extreme elements from hardcore, metal, and power electronics to redefine darkness and sheer brutality. Distorted guitars, and ominous, disparate electronics grind and gnash against rapid-fire drumming, as FULL OF HELL take themes of religion, loss, hatred, and set them ablaze. Recorded by the critically acclaimed Kurt Ballou atGodCity Studio, Weeping Choir sees FULL OF HELL fully unleashed. Abrasive, confrontational, none equal!
FULL OF HELL will the headline the Weeping Caustic Torment North American tour with labelmates Primitive Man & Genocide Pact starting May 24 at Maryland Deathfest. All confirmed tour dates are available below. Following that tour, FULL OF HELL return to Europe for a co-headlining trek with The Body beginning July 4 at the legendary Roskilde Festival.
