No dragon today because I worked on Fakemon instead. (amongst other things) My Regional Tangela and Tangrowth based on Kudzu! Not 100% sold on the visual design yet, I need to figure out a way to stylize the leaf-cover, but I feel like I'm on the right track.
🌿This Tangela is very friendly. It's identity is obscured by large leaves and vines that are said to never stop growing. Some people harvest their tails for food, but the Tangela don't seem to mind. Kantonian Tangela are usually seen on the ground in grasslands and forests, but this one will often climb trees and try to get as high as possible for more sunlight; sometimes it will even climb on other Pokemon!
🌷This Tangrowth is a massive walking carpet of vines and leaves. The dense, quick growing foliage of Tangrowth alongside many healing moves make it hard to overpower. The vines of Tangrowth are very useful, often being used for food, medicine, textiles and even tea. It seems to like being around humans, but not other grass types, and it has a tendency to topple them!

For my lovely wife @twosides--samecoin, who has been preternaturally patient with my VERY delayed production of this parody of the album cover art for Tyler, the Creator’s Flower Boy (alt., Scum Fuck Flower Boy).
All she has heard this week is me apologizing for spending 2847383 hours on this after starting late and saying “just a bit longer” while alternately cursing Todd Howard for the 230-year old highway lines on Mass Pike and repeating “I hope you like kudzu”
Original album art below the cut.

Imagine Wayne Manor as a Haunted House (Bruce Wayne x Reader)
Tumblr media
Been thinking about Wayne Manor.
What it would be like as a haunted house, and Bruce Wayne cursed as its last living heir.
Imagine Wayne Manor as a haunted house, its great stone walls overgrown by twisting kudzu vines, its hallways creaking with the weight of all the tragedy that had befallen the Wayne family tree.
In an upstairs bathroom, a leaky faucet drips water like tears. A strange stain darkens the bottom of the tub, where one of Bruce's ancestors had drowned herself after the loss of her lover.
No one ever uses that bathroom, yet there are days when Bruce can hear running water. And he would feel a grief so profound that it would leech all of the color out of the sky.
And he would remind himself, with renewed determination, of all the terrible fates that befell anyone who has loved a Wayne.
Imagine Wayne Manor as a haunted house, older perhaps, than Gotham itself. Where the walls are overrun by kudzu vines, the fat purple clusters of their flowers all but hiding the weathered stone.
Except, perhaps, in the East Wing, where even the vines do not grow. The walls remain blackened, the windows cracked and warped. Here, there once lived an heir who thought that he could outlast the curse. Or perhaps he believed that there was no curse at all.
He had held the wedding on the grounds itself—ignoring the way the grass twisted around his bride's ankles like starving rats—and moved her into the East Wing that very night.
One would hope that they were happy in the week before the fire. Where the heat was so intense that it blackened the Manor's stone walls and the smoke that rose from it blotted out the sky.
One would hope they died instantly, suffocated in their sleep before they even knew what would happen.
And yet, Bruce knows they did not. Perhaps it is only his own pessimism. Or perhaps, the Manor wanted him to know.
It was she who died first. Her smooth skin turning cracked and leathery, blisters forming on her skin and bursting like the fat of a pig on a spit.
It was she who died first, and the heir had enough time to run away. To live with the knowledge of what he had done to her.
But he did not.
Instead, he lay down next to his bride and let the fire claim them both.
And Bruce Wayne, heir to Wayne Manor's wealth and tragedy memories, would wake up some nights with the taste of ash in his mouth.
Imagine Wayne Manor as a haunted house, a cursed house. A house that has claimed everyone its heirs have ever loved.
But oh, it is hungry. Its once-thriving grounds have become dry and barren. The grass that had once twined around a doomed bride's ankles have grown yellowed and shriveled.
For while its previous owners have kept it fed with its share of tragedies, Bruce Wayne had starved it.
Bruce Wayne, who as a child would wake up with the taste of ash in his mouth, who once used an upstairs bathroom where the faucet drips water like tears.
Bruce Wayne, who promised himself that he would be the last heir Wayne Manor would ever have.
Now, imagine you. You who have lived in Gotham City, your whole life.
You who would pass by the Wayne Manor on the way to classes or to work, and you would look at its barren gardens and its cracked windows.
And you would feel...something.
A pull perhaps or an ache, one that could only settled by approaching this house, this cursed lot, placing your hands against the wrought iron gate so that you can get a better look.
And you would see its blackened walls and its barren gardens, the grass yellowed and withered and dead.
And you would feel a strange sort of tenderness for a place that looks so unloved.
You feel the cold of iron against your palms, a flash of heat.
And then—
"Ouch."
Somehow, you had cut yourself against the gate. A wide cut, a deep cut, straight against the meat of your palm.
You don't quite know how it happened. And perhaps, it did not matter, because the only thing you can focus on is the pain that throbbed against your skin like a heart.
You curse, try to staunch the flow, and in doing so, you catch a glimpse of a figure.
Perhaps it was the mansion's old butler or perhaps one of its many ghosts. But as he approached, you knew that this could only be one person.
The heir to Wayne Manor was said to be a glib playboy, one who would spend rather spend his family's vast amount of wealth on drugs and women and sex than actually fixing his broken-down home.
And yet, when you meet him on that fateful day, he did not look like the blindingly beautiful man you had seen in the newspapers.
He didn't have a fixed smile that could have meant anything from loathing to adoration, he didn't wear a suit that cost more than your yearly salary.
That day, he looked human. He looked reachable.
Perhaps that was what made you accept the handkerchief he so graciously handed to you. Perhaps that is what makes you smile—a little clumsy, a little lopsided, but a smile all the same—as you say,
"Thanks a ton. See you around, Bruce Wayne."
And when you walk away, you do not look back.
You do not see what Bruce Wayne saw.
You do not see how your blood dries preternaturally fast on the surface of the black gate, as if something was drinking it in.
You do not see the way the grass along the driveway twists around your ankles like a starving rat.
And you definitely do not see the expression on Bruce Wayne's face when he realizes what it all meant.
Imagine Wayne Manor as a haunted house, its great stone walls overgrown by twisting kudzu vines, its once-barren gardens now blooming with life. Galica roses with buds so heavy that their stems drooped, as if begging one to cut them and place them in a bouquet.
Imagine Wayne Manor, which has fed well on centuries' worth of tragedies, as a house starved.
For its latest heir, Bruce Wayne, had vowed never to fall in love.
Had vowed that whatever curse lingered in his family tree like the rot in an oak would die with him.
Imagine your blood drying on a wrought iron gate. And a leaky faucet that drips water like tears for a story that already has an ending.
Imagine a blackened wall, and the story of a man who lay down next to dead bride, to be consumed alive in a fire.
Imagine Wayne Manor, its hallways creaking with the weight of all the tragedy that had befallen the Wayne family tree.
And now imagine: its hunger.

[Hanfu・漢服]Chinese Ming Dynasty(1368-1644 AD)Traditional Clothing Hanfu Photoshoot
亦男亦女
【About 赐服/Cì fú in Ming Dynasty】
<赐服/Cì fú> is a kind of clothing system. The imperial court rewarded meritorious men or woman with crowns and clothes to show their favor. Its system is complicated and diverse, there are “four-season clothes/四時衣", five-season clothes/五時衣” or Gesha/葛纱 and mink according to the seasons; there are Gongfu/公服 and flowers according to the seasons; etc. The clothes bestowed are usually higher than the rank of the recipient.
--------
Five-season clothes/五時衣:Attire of five different colors worn in five seasons in ancient times.
Four-season clothes/四時衣:Different Attire worn in four different seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter
Gesha/葛纱:Gauze woven from kudzu fiber.
Gongfu/公服:one of the official attire
----
Clothing is a daily need, but because it is the emperor's reward that endows the meaning of class, it has become a symbol of the imperial class and the emperor's favor. Use highly recognizable patterns on the clothing to show status and class, making clothing a channel for "showing off wealth". Anyone who can wears <赐服/Cì fú>is a courtier who is valued by the emperor.
The <赐服/Cì fú> of the Ming Dynasty are divided into four levels:Qilin robe(麒麟服),DouNiu robe(斗牛服), Feiyu robe(飛魚服), python robe(蟒服)
The Fourth-Class is Qilin robe(麒麟服):
Tumblr media
The qilin (Chinese: 麒麟) is a legendary hooved chimerical creature that appears in Chinese mythology, and is said to appear with the imminent arrival or passing of a sage or illustrious ruler.Qilin are a specific type of the lin mythological family of one-horned beasts. The qilin also appears in the mythologies of other Chinese-influenced cultures.
Because the Qilin is a beast of benevolence and righteousness in the legend, the emperor of the Ming Dynasty regarded the Qilin robe as a gift and rewarded meritorious officials of the fourth and fifth ranks. Although Embroidered Uniform Guard(錦衣衛)on-duty guards are not high-ranking officials, they are also allowed to wear Qilin robe(麒麟服) because of their special positions.
The Third-Class is DouNiu robe(斗牛服):
Tumblr media
DouNiu(斗牛) is not an ordinary bull(公牛), but a legendary horned dragon(虬龙). The DouNiu(斗牛) is like a dragon with sharp horns, a python-shaped fish tail, and two horns bent like ox horns. Those who can be awarded DouNiu robe(斗牛服) include officials of the third rank and above, generals who have made meritorious service in guarding the frontier, and people who have received special rewards. There are also examples of officials or celebrity families being rewarded with DouNiu robe(斗牛服), but these are exceptional and rare. DouNiu(斗牛) was originally a star in the sky, so the recipient thinks that he has received great glory.
The Second-Class is Feiyu robe(飛魚服):
Tumblr media
The prototype of the Feiyu(飛魚/Flying fish) is the 文鳐鱼(a legendary fish with wings) in the "山海经/Classic of Mountains and Seas", which evolved into a python-shaped flying fish in the late Ming Dynasty. ↓文鳐鱼(a legendary fish with wings) in the"山海经/Classic of Mountains and Seas"
Tumblr media
The image of the flying fish in the Ming Dynasty has two horns on the dragon's head and no wings on the fins, retaining the characteristic of the rolled tail.
Feiyu(飛魚/Flying fish) robe are generally rewarded to meritorious officials of the second rank or above,High-ranking eunuchs lead, and Embroidered Uniform Guard(錦衣衛). However, not all Embroidered Uniform Guard(錦衣衛) are eligible to wear flying fish robe, only the commanders of Embroidered Uniform Guard(錦衣衛), the emperor's personal school lieutenant and the guard of honor accompanying the emperor, these powerful confidantes of the emperor are eligible to wear them.
The Highest-Class is Python robe(蟒服):
Tumblr media
The highest level of <赐服/Cì fú>in the Ming Dynasty was python robe(蟒服), second only to the dragon robe worn by the emperor. The python pattern is very similar to the dragon pattern, the only difference is that the dragon has five claws and the python has four claws. Python robe(蟒服) are generally only awarded to 司礼监's eunuchs, ministers of the cabinet(内阁辅政大臣), ministers and counselors of the Ministry of War(兵部尚书参赞), and princes and heads of foreign vassals. Adding a Python robe(蟒服) represents prosperity and wealth. A jade belt is required to wear the python robe(蟒服), and there are two types: sitting python(坐蟒) and moving python(行蟒). In terms of dignity, sitting pythons are higher rank than walking pythons.
※司礼监:is an eunuch in charge of the emperor's documents, seals, palace etiquette, etc.

Because I can’t leave well enough alone or stop obsessing over the music scene in Zaun, I have a few headcanons as to the soundscape of the city.
1. Zaun and Piltover operate in a quasi-Steam/cyberpunk and steam “utopian” punk environments, respectively. For Zaun especially it operates like something sewn together with late 19th century industrial slums (NYC, London) mixed with Blade Runner vibes. Pop, alternative rock, industrial, hip-hop and rap, but also punk, exist.
2. Personally, personally, and with some cues from @lullabyes22-blog fic Forward, Never Forget, I imagine the musical landscape of Zaun changed dramatically within 40 years (roughly the lifetime of Vander and Silco). 200 years ago, Zaun’s primary music genres were folk, vaudeville, work songs, shanties, and novelty songs. Economic stranglehold by Piltover ensured that “high minded” and “perfected” genres we associate with the wealthy, operas, ballets, and the like were difficult or even inaccessible for Zaunites to compose for, but obviously commonplace in Piltover as representative of their cultural DNA. The influx of refugees into Zaun from the Rune Wars, the subsequent squeeze, impoverishment, and exploitation in slum city living, also coincided with the flowering of many spirited genres of music: swing, jazz, blues, and respective dances deemed far too scandalous and libertine for Piltover.
So as I said, in order for it to make sense why a city seems to be comprised of Edwardians standing next to literal punks, steam and otherwise, we need to internalize the miraculous phenomenon that within Silco and Vander’s lifetime, a century’s worth of musical development (1910s - 2020) occurred within Zaun. Somehow, some way, rock, metal, pop, hip-hop, rap, club, funk, dance, industrial, punk, etc. developed and flourished like kudzu. Essentially: If old white people in our real world were ever on record saying this-and-this music was corrupting the youth, then it was in Zaun. If it challenged authority or made you wanna shake and bop up and down or grind, it was music from Zaun.
3. So this means Silco and Vander would’ve borne witness to the music scene go from Puttin’ on the Ritz and Lindy Hop and If I Had a Hammer to You Really Got Me (The Kinks) and War Pigs (Black Sabbath) to Sex Pistols to Sylvester and Sly & the Family Stone to You Spin Me (Right Round) and Depeche Mode and The Clash and Public Enemy to Wu Tang Clan and Smells Like Teen Spirit and Rage Against the Machine and Selena and West Coast-East Coast rap divergence to RECESSION CLUB/POP, fucking IMAGINE FUCKING DRAGONS and wispy atmospheric female artist pop and DUBSTEP.
Literally this creaky-looking Peaky Blinders/Scarface sharkrat man would have to have grown up from going as a child listening to jazz to being in his early 40s and hearing Imagine fucking Dragons on the wind in the public square for some reason and Pusha T doing his thing. Do you understand what I’m saying how crazy that is.
It’s crazy to think about. Usually music genres fall to the wayside as developments are made and genres evolve out of them and into others, but Zaun exists in a world where the past is the present. Everything is alive and sustained all at once, like undying undergrowth, the coexistence of subculture. Little by little, the Old Guard may shift a bit, but the fashion and sensibilities and tastes will never completely die out, no matter how much further Zaun progresses within its bubbling urban cauldron of rust-and-reuse.

Rabbitkin (or any prey animal) tips- FORAGING!
It’s easy to forget that we have nutritious food right in the yard, park, or the woods! For animals like rabbits or deer or anything that likes to forage we can safely forage If you know your plants well!
(REMEMBER- ALWAYS do your research! Look up different plants/mushrooms and MAKE SURE TO POSITIVELY IDENTIFY any plant before eating!)
Heres some yummy forage that’s super good for you:
🌸 Dandelions! The cute yellow flowers are delicious and all parts are edible! Best in early spring before they get bitter.
🍓🫐 wild berries! Blackberries are easy to identify in the wild by spikey bushes and familiar leaves. The fruits are amazing and the leaves are edible in moderation- makes a lovely tea! Wild strawberries are delicious but hard to find!
☘️ Wild sorrel- one of my favorites! A tangy, yellow-green clover looking plant- tastes like sour patch kids! Contains oxalis acid so eat in moderation!
🧄 Wild garlic- A tall, garlicky smelling stalk, great to put in recipes or eat right off the ground. 🧅 Wild onion- These are easy to identify by dark green stalks and oniony smell. Great right off the ground or in recipes!
Kudzu- Everything but the seeds are edible on a kudzu plant! This is a southern growing vine that has taken over the south- but it’s edible and very delicious!
Nasturtium- I plant these in my garden to repel pests- but the leaves and flowers are delicious and taste like peppers! They grow really fast and are so fun to eat!

Note
i think thats kudzu not petunia! unless theyre related, sorry
hmmmmm
Tumblr media
this is what the flowers look like
Tumblr media
i knew it wasn't kudzu, but it looks like i was wrong about it being petunias as well. on closer inspection, it seems to actually be...
Tumblr media
...morning glory! another famously tenacious climbing plant, native to central america. like kudzu, morning glory is hard to get rid of, in part because deer don't eat it, and it's on the invasive species list in arizona and virginia.
funnily enough, i was already very familiar with morning glory before sleuthing out those photos - not for its flowers, but as a popular stir fry ingredient in southeast asia :)
